Good morning everyone. Hope the Sun is shining wherever you are. I also hope that Heather has had a safe journey home and that John is safe and sound back in Spain.
A big hello to Maggie in France. So glad that you are able to comment now after John's guidance.
Now, today's card I made for one of my lovely friends who is moving to Wales. A few of us had lunch together last week to wish her all the best. It was sad as we usually all meet up once every month but it won't be the same with one missing from now on.
I started with an A4 piece of white card Hougied in half. I then cut a slightly smaller mat out of a bright blue card and pierced the edges and stuck this to the base card.
I then cut a slightly smaller layer from white card and rounded the corners. I inked the edges with a light blue ink (freebie, make unknown). I made up the buddleija as before with lots of flowers from a Tonic Daisy Punch, shaped with a yellow felt tip pushed into the centres and foam pads in a domed shape to give them definition. Leaves and stems are just hand cut card and the sentiment is stamped, heat embossed and cut with an SB Scalloped Ovals die.
This layer was then foam padded onto the blue mat.
Happy girlie as F1 has been on all weekend (it was a Belgian Doctor this weekend Val lol !!!. . . . . . have you heard from Barbara Gray yet chuck?). I have tried hinting to Mr Duck to take me to the Singapore GP next month but its falling on deaf ears. Perhaps he is afraid of a big bill . . . . . . .boom boom !!! . . . . . . Hey, don't start rolling your eyes, the entertainment is free hahaha !!!
Have a great day yawl and thanks again for taking the time to pop by for a paddle.

You might have had more chance getting to the Belgain GP, at the weekend.
The birthday boy is still in cloud 9.

Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteI was just passing your pond again and spied this superb card, I love this such a great idea. Fab colours used.
It is sad to day goodbye to a fellow pal. I hope she settles well in Wales they are a very friendly bunch. I should know I was born there and my sister still lives there.
My Son once went to the Grand Prix in Spain, was a perk from his job. He also stayed at the same hotel as some of the racing drivers.
Wasn't he a lucky duck.
Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Hi Ang loving your card a what a tremendous amount of work these little flowers are, you've made such a gorgeous flower. Lovely colours too.
ReplyDeletemy son is great GP fan and has been to quite a few of them, that and football, I don't know where my parenting skills failed, he cries when his team looses and that's Glasgow Rangers, so as you can imagine there's lots of tears these days. Hugs Kate x
What a lovely card Ang, such patience to do all the flowers but for a special friend a labour of love is never too much. have been lucky enough to go to the Australian GP and the atmosphere is great but to be honest you see much more on the telly. I've been on the Singapore Flyer and looked down on the pit lane and you get super views from up there as there has been so much construction work in that part of Singapore these past few years. It's one of my favourite places so save me a place in the suitcase....or I could be your assistant if Mr Duck doesn't fancy a swim so far from home. Best wishes Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi Ang. I could go into raptures over this card. Just LOVE the flowers - what patience. Even the colouring around the edges is perfect.
ReplyDeleteGlad your Belgian Doctor was able to visit again this weekend!
Barbara said how sorry she was to hear that I was having difficulties.
It's dull here today so a spot of very necessary house work is on the cards.
Enjoy your day.

Very Pretty card though not sure on colour or shape of leaves but must have taken ages to make but for a special friend we go that extra mile don't we? I don't think I would have patience or manual dexterity to do all those tiny flowers not even for you my little yellow friend! :)
