New Arrival. . . . . . .But Not Another Striplet

Good morning friends, Romans and crafters! Hope all is good in your neck of The Pond.
What beautiful weather we have been having but don't get excited John, you know it won't last in the UK!

Thanks for your comments on here and on Sue's blog about my being lucky to be pulled (steady !!!) in the comment game.Sue is kindly sending me some stamps so I'm waiting with bated breath.
I haven't emailed her about the Sharp Striplet as I don't like to bother her with it. From now on, when I use it, I will wear a fluorescent jacket for Health and Safety purposes hahaha! Seriously, I have actually sandpapered the offending edge so its taken the razor finish off it lol!
Someone did suggest I let Mr D loose on it with a file. If I had, it would have been a Broken Glass Striplet as he doesn't do DIY. I wouldn't let him file my nails let alone a Striplet!

Now, back to the card. I did mention a few weeks ago about doing a baby card as Nesta's niece had a liitle girl. Well, finally, here it is.
I apologise for the dark pic. Didn't realise it was quite so dark and of course the card is long gone so I couldn't re-snap it.

Ingredients
A5 size cream card for base
Raspberry PMD card
First Edition Love Letters 8x8 pad
Docrafts New Arrival topper
Pink satin ribbon
Pink bling
Kaisercraft and Crafters Companion sentiment stamps
Victorian Velvet DI

Nothing fancy schmancy (no die cutting involved at all) but I thought it looked quite pretty to welcome little Anya to the World (mind you, what a World sometimes eh?)

Well, that's me folks for today. enjoy the sunshine, which hopefully is on all of you and special get well wishes to Ita and Hazel's lad, Christopher
Hoping to meet up with our John at the end of the week for a darn good catch up.

Be good!!!

TTFN
Ang x

  1. Good morning Ang,
Now that's a big change for you ... a Baby card, delicate pink and NO Die involved.
I just LOVE it, so will the receivers. A beautiful card, stunning design. Ooops!! maybe the centre is Die cut or did the topper come pre-cut?? Anyways it is really pretty to welcome little Anya to the world.
    Have a great day
    Hugs

  4. Good morning Ang. What a pretty baby card, with all those lovely colours. And as Patricia has said not die cuts.
Thank you for your well wishes for Chris, he's so much better, and thankfully his Liver and Spleen haven't suffered damage from the massive drop in his platelet count. Enjoy your meet up with John. Hazel xx

  5. Hi Ang. I love this beautiful card to welcome Anya to the world, bless her. The background is gorgeous, is it all one printed piece or did you stamp each square? Whatever it is I love it : ) We have both been really lucky on Sue's blog this week haven't we : ) I have been so so lucky this year as I have won 2 of her beautiful cards, some stamps in the comment draw like you and now the classic Itty Bitty bows. I just can't believe my name keeps getting drawn out! As I am on a very tight budget winning the die set is the only way I can start collecting Sue's second collection, I still only have 4 of the first, so they will be truly appreciated and used a great deal. I'm sure you will love your stamps too : )
Glad that you have filed down the striplet. Your comment about Mr D and filing your nails gave me a good giggle : ) Take care.

  9. Morning duckie, a pretty card for a new arrival. Love the patchwork background. I received a similar kind of card from a fellow crafter on my birthday. As I like sewing and knitting as well as card making, she added little sewing charms, buttons, ribbon, lace etc to the patchwork squares. Makes an unique card. Have a good day. Janice xx

  10. Pretty card Mrs Duck, I love the simplicity of it, especially the ovals - making plain edged ones makes a change somehow. I wish I could meet you both (you and John) so enjoy your visit.

  15. Hi Ang love the baby card,I think we all use Dies now ,and forget ,ŵe can do other Dies.
Congrats on your win, will wait and see you making more "art Work" with your new Striplet.
I bought the sister of your Art Deco Die,and the Butterfly's it is very good value,I only had a Chery Lyn ? Butterfly Die which was rubbish .
They are at home waiting for me.I had a hard night last night, lots of pain, and no sleep, and the heat is also making it difficult to sleep.

  19. Very pretty Very pink I'm usually not a pink person but all of the cards I've made (3!) recently have been pink! My husband sounds just like Mr D Years ago he tried to hang a small picture and a great big chunk of wall came down He now refuses to try - just in case
