Peace and Rabbits. . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope you're not too wet or snowed in.

My mate Davey has had the right idea and has gone off on his travels again to Thailand and Laos and no doubt will return looking like a bronzed Adonis.
Nesta is still away, shaking her maracas in Spain and here we are, stuck in the cold and wet, boo hoo!!!
Had a rough couple of days again so no choice but to stay put but at least I can watch the Hochanda Takeover . . . . . every cloud eh???

Now, its another Christmas card today, I'm afraid. In fact, I think we may be into March by the time I'm done showing my festive makes lol!!!
This one was made for a bloggy chum, who loves her wildlife and feeds rabbits, squirrels and birds on her walks so as soon as I saw this paper, I knew I had to use it for her.

Ingredients
Cream card
Gold mirror card
Platinum card
First Edition Gilded Winter 8x8 paper
Sue Wilson Snowflake Border, Corner and Tag (just the corner on this)die
Sue Wilson Peace die
Snowflake stamps (make unknown)
Versamark
Mica powder
Teeny bling

I cut the corner die 4 times and stuck them edge to edge to get the snowflake pattern underneath the "Peace".
Apologies for the photo quality but I hadn't got my daylight bulb at the time this was photographed so it was a case of try and use what daylight there was.

Thank you for your lovely comments on John's card and also on my first attempt at colouring. I did find it quite therapeutic so I will have another bash.

No more sightings of Flash, thankfully. I'm still wondering why someone would stand in their front garden in there PJs and rubber gloves (they were black rather than marigolds, not that it makes any difference lol!!!)

Anyhoo, that's me for now so I hope that the week ahead is kind to you all.

Be good (and if you can't be good, blame someone else)

TTFN
Ang x

  7. Good morning Ang what a unique paper you have used on this card. Friends of mine went to an island in Thailand for a wedding the week after Christmas and had a terrible time with storms and flooding so much so they couldn't get off the island and missed their flight home so I do hope Davey is ok. Wet and grey here so a day for pottering about and TV I think. Love from Jackie xx

  14. Hello Ang,
This is lovely. I would never have guessed the snowflake was made from a corner die - but then I'm pretty thick!!!
Sorry you have been under the weather and hope you are much better now. Black rubber gloves eh, Flash obviously wanted to stand out from all the other men in P J's and slippers!!!
    Take care.

  16. You're so thoughtful with your card-making, Ang! Your rabbit-loving friend will no doubt cherish the beautiful Christmas card you made for her! I also just visited your last post and love your card for John! I can see why you would be nervous, but no need! And well done with your first coloring in ages - you seem to know instinctively about shading! I hope you don't have any more rough days now for ages! You know I keep you in my prayers! Hugs, Darnell

  19. Great that you incorporated rabbits into the background and I'm sure the card was really appreciated. The 'takeover' weekend was great and an excuse to sit by the fire over a dreary and wet couple of days.

  20. Smashing paper. I did wonder where the bunny came into it!
The pens I used for my barn picture are Marvy Le Plume II water colour and brush markers. They are quite hard to get hold of here I managed to get mine on ebay. Readily available in the USA if you want to pay their postage costs (not). hugs Mrs A.

Who wears PJS and black rubber gloves in the public domain.

  22. Lovely card Ang Does Flash have delusions of grandeur and think he's a highly specialised surgeon (crocs, scrubs. and surgical gloves spring to mind! Now stop it!) performing operations on his veg?
