Baby Blues. . . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope that you are ok.

Lots going on at The Pond again. Two hospital appointments (all is well) a quiet fair (more kids stuff than craft) a lovely lunch out with Davey, Nesta and PJ and sorting out another new venue for my workshops.
Have also been sorting some technology too in the form of Sky (Sorry Jackie D, I had to give in as a woman cannot live by GP highlights alone) and an Echo Dot.
Alexa is my new friend. She answers questions, plays me great music (Mantovani and his music of the mountains) reminds me of things and teases The Girls by making meowing sounds..............all good fun.

Now, enough of my hectic social schedule and back to the card.
This is one from the back catalogue. Nesta asked me to make a congratulations card for her sister when she became a grandmother last August.

Ingredients
White, blue and navy card
SW Stitched Animals dies
Crafts Too Baby Frame embossing folder
Blue satin ribbons
Computer generated sentiment

The card was well received, I am happy to report.

Karen, you can't really use 2 sheets of paper with an eclipse card using an intricate die, as it would be incredibly difficult to try and line the patterns up. I took the frame portion out of the die and kept the other bits in the die and popped some double sided sticky sheet over them to stick them in situ.........hope that makes sense. Much easier than paper piecing.

Saba, thank you for your comment on behalf of lovely Myra. I do know you from Adam, If my memory serves me correctly, which often it does not, I think you are the lady who lives in Germany who used to comment on Cotswold Crafter? Another innocent soul ensnared by Svengali Killen lol!!!

Thank you for your comments on the tooth. Yes, its still behaving at the moment so I am leaving it be for now......probably to the dentist's disgust.

Cemetery visit today, then a catch up over breakfast with my friend Elaine tomorrow and then we are into the Easter weekend.............where is this year going to???

On that note, I shall say, take care, be good and............

Foston Eclipse. . . . . . . . .

Good morning folks. Hope this finds you all well.

Busy week last week with birthdays a funeral and a lunch with friends, followed by my 3rd workshop at Crafty Corner...............had a fab day, so thanks to Annette and the ladies, your creations were fabulous.

It's craft fair season again and my first this year is on Saturday. Thankfully, its only a couple of hours so will break me in for the all dayers to come.

Back to one of John's recent samples using the new Foston Fold Die.

Now, you just knew I would have to sneak in an eclipse card, this time using the pattern die rather than letters.

Ingredients
Ivory and rose card
JND Foston Fold dies
JND sentiment
FE Mulberry Kisses 8x8 paper
Pearlage

Thank you all for your kind comments on my light box. Hopefully, I will get it back from John and I will use it. Myra, please feel free to give it a bash. Glad to hear that you survived a few hours with Mrs Killen. You are a trooper. Care in the Community at its best dear ladyπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ.
Jan, hope that Matt and family had a safe trip over and that you have an amazing time with them. As you can see, the lilac wisty is growing at a pace

............The Girls are on patrol for anyone thinking of trying any wisty raids. Looking forward to Anne's reveal.

The tooth has settled down now, thankfully. I am going to see how it goes over the next couple of weeks before I make a definite decision about it. I have had a couple of infections over the years (last time about 12 years ago) in another tooth, taken the antibiotics and the tooth is still going strong, despite the dentist wanting to pull it.
That's why I'm reluctant to just have it whipped out without giving it a chance.

Well, that's me for now. Hope that you all have a wonderful and peaceful week.

Foston Lightbox. . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone, Hi De Hi!!!

Had a busy few days again at The Pond. Mr D's brother and his other half were up here for a couple of days and there were the cemetery visits for Sunday too.

The tooth has settled a bit, as have the other related issues but the dentist wants me to have it out so I am booked in this month to get that sorted. It is at the back so hopefully I won't look like Steptoe's love child.
That being said, I will see how it goes and may postpone the deed if the tooth settles down. Thank you for all of your good wishes.

Now, back to the fun bit. crafty stuff.

I made this box for John's last shows to showcase his latest collection. It started as a box but I then decided to add some mini lights for an extra bit of interest.

Ingredients
Craft Artist Crystal Silver card
Acetate
Vellum
JND Foston Fold dies
JND Leafy Flourish dies (on the sides)
JND Swirl Ivy dies
JND Mini Star Flower dies
Bling
Stamens

I fancied trying a box that wasn't square and I was going to go completely white on white but then decided to inject a wee bit of colour with the fuchsias.
I did use just acetate at first but then decided, after popping the lights in, that they needed softening so I dug out a sheet of vellum and stuck that behind the acetate.

If you saw John's shows, he did demonstrate how I had created the front panel. It is just the lattice panel cut overlapping. I then cut a further diamond out of the centre.

I had fun making this but you know me and anything to do with flowers lol!!!

Well that's me for now. Lots on this week.........Two birthdays and a funeral (could be an idea for a film 😏)
Will see you all again soon.

Be good
