Good morning everybody. Hope you are all ok and being good.
Hello and welcome to Snowqueen/Snowqueen 62 (I'm guessing one and the same but please correct me if I'm wrong)Thanks for jumping in the Duck pond. Feel free to leave a comment anytime, good or not so good, I really don't mind.
Welcome back Jackie from your hols, hopefully tanned and rested.
It's a quickie today if you don't mind. I have been a busy girl today (Monday) and I am scheduling this for Tuesday and I have a shower to have and dinner to cook yet.
This was an urgent request on behalf of one of Mr Duck's friends' so it was a quickie at the time it was made too.
Now, to start its a 5x7 white card base. I then cut a slightly smaller mat out of pink card and ran it through the GC with the Couture Creations All of a Flutter embossing folder (you get a lovely deep emboss with this folder).
I then cut the second smallest die from SB Decorative Labels One out of white and also pink card and the second smallest die from the SB Decorative Labels 27 out of pink card. I then stamped the sentiment onto this label with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink.
I snipped the middle bits from each edge of the white label and then layered them on top of each other.
Some white silky crush ribbon (won from the CE blog hop) was then added across the pink card before sticking it to the base card.
Labels added on top and a silky crush bow at the side. . . . . . . . . . .done!!!
Bit pink and understated for me I know but I kinda like it and so did the recipient so all's good.
Have a great day folks and well done Jackie for getting the GP result correct. Hope you had a fiver on Hamilton (I had gone with Raikkonen, so close but no cigar!!!). Who do you fancy at Spa ? (Its a track in Belgium before Heather says anything about facials and massage !!!)

Hello Ang, beautifully embossed card, lovely butterflies, really whole design is lovely, a nd I love the crushed ribbon bow.
ReplyDeleteNow fo the answers to your questions before I forget.
The Tonic die at it's largest fits comfortably on a 6x6 card, with room for a little something underneath.
The photo is of Cuillin my beloved cat who died a couple of years back, he was 14 so a good age, but how I still miss him, he was such a character. My blog is named after him and my other passion, hence Cuilliesocks. Cuillin of course was named after Alistair' beloved mountain range in Skye.
Have a good day Ang what ever you're doing, Kate x
Hi Ang, Bit of a shock to the eyes this morning but a bright and cheery card all the same. I love this ribbon and use it a lot and it sits comfortably here. You may have seen on Heather's blog where and what I was doing last week so I won't say any more. As for Spa, well we have 4 weeks to think about it and a lot can happen in that time so I will defer ftb. ...and no, I didn't have a bet on though perhaps should have. have a good day, best wishes jackie
ReplyDeleteHi Ang. This is such a pretty pink card. Love the embossing folder.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cat, Kate. I have 5 little darlings, all getting on a bit now and I dread the day any one of them will be taken from me.
Really thought you were spending the afternoon with a Hungarian friend who is a doctor!! Obviously I don't watch racing.
Love Val x
