Just a couple of things. . . . . . .

Good morning folks, just a couple of quickies I wanted to pass on (I didn't want a picture less post so I hope you don't mind looking at one of my beautiful clematis called "Vino")

Please click here to see Olliesmams blog who is highlighting a worthy cause that would love to receive any spare cards you have, to help a poorly little girl. Large letter postage costs are not too bad if anyone can help. I shall be working on some today.

Also, someone asked me if I could post the recipe for the Nigella Christmas cake I make and freeze. Fear of a lawsuit from the good lady (especially as she currently has legal teams on speed dial) has prevented me from doing so but if you click here, you will be taken to the Guardians publication of the exact recipe from her Christmas book. It is an excellent cake and freezes wonderfully well which is why I make two every other year and freeze one of them.

Lastly, purely on a selfish, indulgent note, I won a challenge Yeahhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!!!!!!!
I won the HOC challenge with my Autumn Bouquet card (here) so I now display my winners button bursting with pride. I would like to thank my husband, parents and Spellbinders lol !!!

Thanks for popping by. Card/creation will appear tomorrow, same Duck time, same Duck channel. . . . . .quack!!!

Ps. . . . . . Hope Hazel is now admiring maple leaves and Mounties after her day out at Glasgow Airport.

  1. Morning Ang

BIG CONGRATULATIONS on the win, well deserved. Unfortunately I don't have time to make extra cards to enter into competitions, I wouldn't even know where to look for half of them lol! Yours was a beautiful cheery card so I am not surprised. Well done.

Yes lets hope Hazel is now looking at these beautiful trees over in Canada.

    Love & Hugs

I so love clematis. I used to have them climbing everywhere in my garden in England. It's a beautiful picture.

  6. Congrats Ang on winning. Love your picture of "Vino". Well we are here in Calgary haven't seen and Maple leaves yet, arrived 9pm here so it was dark it's 6.19am and still dark, just having 5 mins before we start our day. Long flight but really lovely attendants so no complaints there and Canadian Affairs put us into a beautifull hotel.
Have a good day Hazel xxx

  10. CONGRATULATIONS! Good for you, you deserve the "Oscard" !!!!
Love your Clematis flower what a beautiful colour.

Hazel is now finally in Canada. Her and Charlie will be off on their travels today.
She was still wearing her "nanny" hat at the airport, helping a lad on his own with a 22 month old boy. They were on the same flight and also delayed for the 10 hours.
    Have a great day
    Hugs

  11. Hi Ang,

Thank you for your comments on my post, I was surprised too when the gilding flakes stuck, I must apologize for possibly misleading you and everyone else, the pad is actually Versamark Stamp Pad not ink pad, so sorry! Finally looked at it and got the correct name! It is a glue really but not as good as the true flitter glue or gilding flakes glue, as I said it did not all stick to it anyway but I liked the distressed look it gave.

All the best Jacquie J xxx
