Back Next Door. . . . . . . .

Good Morning folks. How ya doin? Well, I hope.

Before I get stuck in, there are 2 spare spaces on John's Ansty, Coventry workshop as sadly 2 ladies may not be able to come due to family illness. If you are interested in joining us for fun, food and crafty capers, please drop me a line on lockerscrafts@gmail.com.

I'm keeping myself occupied with a bit more housework as its only been surface stuff that's been done in the last 12 months but I like to move furniture, book shelves and dressers etc periodically to clean more thoroughly. Mr D will be doing the shifting but, although he does offer to do the cleaning, its never with any enthusiasm or expectation that I will say "yes" lol!!! I do let him loose with the vac occasionally as we have a particularly heavy one but usually just the hall, stairs and landing.
He actually rang me at work a few years ago to ask me how to turn the vac on....... I jest not!!!

I hadn't had any symptoms, that I'm aware of, with the reduced Vitamin B12, it was just picked up on a blood test. Jackie, the Folic Acid is apparently given alongside the B12 ......... pregnant??? Heaven's to Murgatroyd, I bloomin hope not. More poking (steady!!!) and prodding followed by months of sleepless nights, followed by years of expense...... Noooooooooo!!!

Now, we have another sample from John's latest release. These stamps have proved to be very versatile.

Ingredients
Cream textured card
Green pearlised card (Lime Tree)
John Next Door Butterfly Corners stamps
John Next Door Circle Leaves stamps
John Next Door Flower Circle stamps (sentiment)
Memento Dew Drop inks (Pistachio, Olive Garden and New Sprout)
Green Ribbon

A simple but, hopefully effective card that would suit an occasion where a bit of subtlety is required.

Time to scoot as its time for a bite to eat and a fresh decaff. Have been following a low carb diet for the past couple of weeks or so and have lost a stone so it seems to be working.

Be good.

  1. Morning Ang, a beautiful and subtle card, these stamps are very versatile and I love how you have used them here. Glad to hear you have more energy. We found that a low carb/no carb diet works very well for hubs who has diabetes, to lose weight and keep it down, so good on you. Keep it up, not easy, when you are craving pizza or pasta. Take care all. Bx

  6. Morning Ang, husband !!! They are not much help when it comes to housework ....are they??? We never had a dishwasher, as I always washed up, but when I was ill last year and I had to rely on hubby washing up ....we very soon got one !! At least I know that the washing up will be done if I'm ill again lol !! Although I'm still the only one that fills and empties it !!! Nothing changes . Love the card....like you say very useful stamps. Janice xx http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com

  12. Hi Ang

Lovely, subtle card Ang, another favourite colour of mine to use on a card. I used the same wording on my card yesterday for my blog, although a different font

Excellent weight loss result, I must try it but it's a daily battle because of the amount of meds I have to take with all but one giving you weight gain :(

Have a good day and go easy on the housework!

  15. Simplicity at its best. Suggestion for moving all those pieces of furniture. I, too, like to move the furniture to clean around and behind. I have found using the "sliders" for furniture is just what I have needed to help me to move the furniture now that I am old and not as strong as I used to be, and no one here to help me. Now I just leave the sliders under the furniture legs or corners. One can even move a car with the sliders under the wheels. Awesome.

  17. Hello dear girl, well done you on that weight loss, didn't I say it's the carbs that are the enemy of weight, and cutting out or certainly down is a benefit to everyone, wether diabetic or not,ABSOLUTELY chuffed for you.
As for your card it is beautiful, brilliant design and colours, a design that could be used for any occasion,Kate X

  22. Hi Ang,
such a very brilliant card, and I love the wonderful design and olours.
    Super stamps used too.
Now I don't want to brag, but my DH does most of the cooking and will vacumn for me, but I draw the line at my washing and ironing.
Don't trust anyone but myself to do that.
I remember in my youth all the things that happened to my sister's clothes because her hubby used to do the washing.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
