Good morning everyone. Hope you are all ok.
Thank you so much for all of your lovely supportive comments, especially those who look but don't usually comment. I would say I am touched but I fear that will draw a comment from a certain Mrs Killen lol!!!
But, I do deeply appreciate your kind words and just goes to show, it can be a mean World out there but there are still some caring and lovely folk in it.
Krafty Runner, thank you for your visit and I sincerely hope that your hubby gets some good news regarding his kidney issues. Hopefully he won't need a biopsy.
Now, I'm back to the samples I made for John's box die shows but I used the dies to make a card.
Ingredients
Cream. black and vintage gold card
Gold mirror card
John Next Door Sandwich Box dies - panel die
John Next Door sentiment
Teeny gold bling
I cut the panel out of gold mirror card as well so I could paper piece the centres of the pattern.
A simple card but I do love the black and gold as a combination.
Well, I'm a bit battered, sore and bruised and its a pain not being able to bend lift or drive for 2 weeks.......... Oh, the things we take for granted eh?
I thought it was an in, out, cup of tea then off you go so when they said I had to lay still for 6 hours, I thought that would drive me potty but they saved telling me about the no driving until Friday morning.
I had the joy of using a bed pan as I wasn't allowed to get up,,,,,,,,,,,,,another procedure I wouldn't want to repeat. At the mention of bedpan, Mr D shifted quicker than Usain Bolt out of the blocks!!!
Hopefully get the results this week and that fills me with more dread than the biopsy. Trying to be positive but its difficult. As I said to someone, I'm still smiling.......... but it could be wind lol!!!
I'm scheduling my next post for MAWTT now for Thursday so that its sorted in case I'm not in the mood on the day.
Thanks again for all your hugs and support.
TTFN

Morning Mrs D,
ReplyDeletePopping in is always a delight, you are such a hoot, you make me laugh and smile, despite the trials we face and I always leave happier than when I arrived, it's a rare gift indeed!!
Your card is stunning. I bought the sandwich box die for this die in particular, I simply adored the samples John had of this on it's own, so elegant and minimal, just perfect....
My fingers are crossed for you x

A very handsome card design. I like your greeting for the card, too. Bless your heart having to go through all of this testing and the waiting for the result. I'm praying for a good result for you. Love and hugs.
ReplyDeleteLove this card and the sentiment Ang. As I mentioned on John’s blog recently I am beginning to like gold and black together. Must try it. Hope you are recovering from Friday and also hope the results are good. Take carex
ReplyDeleteA stunning project. How frustrating must it be not to be able to drive etc. I love the way they Spring these restrictions on you at the last minute! I hope you manage to rest up and do a little light crafting. I have everything crossed (which makes typing tricky) that the results are good news x
ReplyDeleteHi Ang. I very rarely post comments, but here goes!! You are always very positive when you write your blogs. So I am sending you very positive thoughts with a gentle hug, just for you. Hope your news is good. Oh the card is gorgeous, as always. Smiles. Jan.x
ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteWell, my little ray of sunshine this card is just like you, elegant, restrained and beautiful (oh dear, can someone scratch my nose!!!).
Ah, the joys of using a bed pan, brings back lovely memories when stainless steel ones were used and the immense pleasure one got from sitting on a red hot one straight out of the steriliser. I could have won the high jump many a time ha ha.
I hope the results are good and will say a long rambling prayer for you, then He'll know it's me, as short and sharp has never been my style. Keep your pecker up and remember, wind is better out than in!!
love Maureen xxx
Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful card! Have been looking out for your Blog each day and it’s good to know that things went as well as they could! It would frustrate me too if I couldn’t drive! Hoping all goes well with the Results of the various Tests! Take care!
Love Myra xx
A stunning card ANG I do hope the results come back OK
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else - this is a stunning card, Ang. I may have to "borrow" the idea.
ReplyDeleteLook after yourself and please do as you are told - I know that is not easy but do try!
Best wishes
Anne (Northampton)
Hello Ang a really beautiful and inspirational card thank you for sharing it with us all.
ReplyDeleteWell I think Maureen has said it all regarding bedpans trust her to get in first with those comments! I always say when you go into hospital you leave your modestly as you go in and collect what is left of it as you leave. I do have to say I try to avoid going into hospital but always plan my exit before I make my entrance!
I do hope all goes well with the results for you I’ll be thinking of you, don’t worry about driving I’m sure Mr D will be happy to act as chauffeur!
With love
