Good morning everyone. Hope that you are all well.
Firstly, a warm welcome to Theresa who has been kind enough to press "follow". Hope you enjoy your visits into my mad world lol!!!
I am happy to report that I have had my GFR result back and thankfully, the true GFR from the non scan test is considerably higher than the estimated ones from a normal blood test.
Its still not where it should be by quite a way but its a lot better than was thought.
I cried with joy and want to thank you all for all the positive thoughts and prayers as they have obviously done some good.
Not out of the woods but just waiting now to see what's next.
Now, back to the matter in hand and its time for another challenge at MAWTT and its my turn to host again so I have chosen the theme...............drumroll..........
Things from my chosen song
Yes, I have gone down the song route again and I am back to All Kinds of Everything by Dana but with the second verse this time.
Please pop over and would be lovely for you to join in the challenge.
I have gone with the "things from the sky" line of the song.
Ingredients
Cream, black and gingerbread card
Docrafts All Aboard background paper
Memory Box alphabet dies
Mini MDF aeroplanes
Teeny black bling
A bit different for me but a fun card I thought. Now if I only knew someone who does a lot of travelling....................hmmmm, may be my friend Davey, the hairy Judith Chalmers......Look away Davey (he does read the blog).
Now, to my pitter patter of feet news. There are 8 feet hopefully a pattering later this morning as Mr D and I (more me admittedly) are adopting two kittens from the RSPCA and, subject to their post op checks this morning (they had the snip on Monday) they should be ready for me to pick up at 11am. So excited to have the sound of purring back in the house again after losing my beautiful Sam a few years ago.
They are sisters and one is jet black and the other a light tabby.
We are still deciding new names for them (Mr D wanted to call them Benson and Hedges and John keeps referring to them as that now lol!!!) but I think we are fairly sure of what we are going to call them (Not Benson and Hedges) so I will post photos and names on my next blog post.
That's it for today. Don't forget to pop over to MAWTT and once again, thank you for all of your positivity and encouragement.
Wish us and the furniture luck lol!!

Brilliant news Ang. Such a relief for you - and for Mr D!!! Congratulations on the adoption of your new family. When Julie was adopting a kitten for Charlotte's birthday a couple of years ago they ended up with two too. Anyway your card - certainly different for you but it's good to have a change and this will be teat for your globe trotting friend. Take care. Christine x
ReplyDeleteOh dear, slip of the finger - definitely meant "treat" not "teat"!!!!! C xx

Good morning Ang what a great card, yes definitely one for Davey. So pleased to read all your good health news so long may it continue. Well I didn't expect the patter of feet to be new kittens. So sad for your bird table though!!! And what will the current roaming moggie have to say?? I can see some interesting tales will appear over the coming months. Love from Jackie xx

Great news. You deserve better news for a change. Kittens are so cute and sweet.
ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteGreat travel card today, but no good for stay at homes like me.
Good news, I'm pleased to hear things aren't as bad as first thought, and exciting news about the kittens. Wonder if they will get to sunbathe on your neighbours inside windowsill ha ha.
love Maureen xxx
What a fun card for a traveler, Ang! That background pp is so cool, as are those sweet little airplanes!! I'm so pleased to hear your awesome news!!! I know you are not out of the woods and you still need to take a lot of care, but it is such good news to hear of this outcome!! Huge hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteSo pleased to hear your health news, onwards and upwards! 2 kittens, how lovely, when our previous 2 were small we didnt need to watch t.v for months, they kept us endlessly amused. Cant wait to see the cat pics, I am a complete cat freak, kittens affect me the way human babies affect some women, sometimes I think volunteering with cat protection is just the best job in the world, even if there is temptation every shift I do.
ReplyDeleteLovely card which fits perfectly for your choice of the challenge Glad to hear that the test came back better than expected Was ashame to see that you’ Now been referred back to hospital with glaucoma (you and me both collecting stamps from hospital departments!)
ReplyDeleteI can’t wait to see photos of kittens and find out their names Will they be joining Patch and Mittens in antics?
PS Sorry I missed a couple of posts but have been in gay Paree Not so gay as weather extremely cold! Can certainly recommend Eurostar Easy and extremely convenient Loved it Paris was pretty good too!

ReplyDeleteBrilliant card today especially for a traveller. Glad you results weren’t as bad as expected. I too was wondering if the kittens would find their way to the neighbours window ledge. Had a delivery from Mrs Duck today so off to try out the layering stamps now.
ReplyDeleteGreat card, as ever, Any. So pleased that you have had good mews on the health front at last. Looking forward to reading about the kittens escapades!

Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteSo pleased to hear your results were better than expected and I really love your card!
Great news about the kittens. I was a bit worried at first when you said about 8 feet. I was imagining all sorts of monstrosities for a second, lol (I'm still on morphine).
We adopted a dog 5 years ago and it was one of the best things we've done!
Looking forward to hearing about the kittens'
adventures.
Jayne xx
