November's Child. . . . . . .

Hello everyone. Hope all is well with you and yours. What a beautiful day it has been today.
My smalls have been flapping gaily in the sunshine.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my florals on my last card. I really do enjoy making flowers. I always make sympathy cards when needed as I don't like to tempt fate by having them ready made in my card box.......daft, I know.

I've been missing again as Mr D has been hogging the laptop when I have time to sit and blog and I can't upload pics from the tablet to Blogger for some reason.
Anyhoo.......did you miss me? What was that? Like a verruca lol???

The Kitties have been keeping me busy too. Lily has been a bit of a naughty girl. She decided to pee on Mr D's dressing gown. Fortunately (for both of them), he was not wearing it at the time and it will teach him not to just dump it on the chair. She then peed on his socks.........which yet again, he had just dumped on the chair.
Hopefully, she just has a thing about tidiness lol!!!
Needless to say, he has been taking his clothes upstairs since!!!
I've only been trying to get him to do that for 17 years. If only I had realised sooner, that all I needed to do was pee on his stuff.

The Girls have been outside in their harnesses and didn't seem very impressed. Molly in, particular, was wary and was happy to get back inside onto her nice fleecy bed. Lily was a little nervous but then a large fly buzzed past and she nearly dragged me into the wisteria.
They have been good at sitting still to have them put on and taken off so no TCP and Band Aids required as yet.

Now,today's card is an oldie. I found some more unblogged cards in a folder and this one is from November 2016 and was made for my nephew.

Ingredients
White, navy and blue card (Limetree)
John Lockwood Novembers Child sentiment stamp
Couture Creations Swiss Dots embossing folder
Variety of "Happy Birthday" stamps
Variety of blue inks
Blue bling

Teenage boys are a nightmare to make cards for so, although I know some will find this a bit busy, I thought it would be fine for a 17 year old lad and he was happy with it.

Maureen.....tuna scented soap? I always thought that there was something fishy about you or was that just a red herring? But, its not my plaice to judge or carp on about it.
Jayne, hope that knee is improving.
Annie, thanks for the link to PhotoScape. I will check it out.

Well, best get on now as Mr D nearly home and nearly dinner time for The Girls.

Have a great evening.

TTFN

  1. Hello Ang,
Well, whale meet again as Vera Lynn used to sing ha ha.
I think it's disgusting the way you blame those poor little kittens for your short comings, we all suffer some incontinence as the years go by ha ha.
Love today's card. What a pity that none of my great nephews and great, great nephews have a November birthday or I'd have "borrowed" the stamp on the next Wisty reconnoitre!!!
    Hope you are feeling o.k.
    love Maureen xxx

  2. Great card for your nephew. The background looks like de-bossing - or is that just my eyes playing tricks on me? I have a nephew and great nephew both with November birthdays but I can hardly use the same sentiment for dad and son no matter how great it is. I'd just have to keep it for myself . Trouble is I don't think the being brave bit is me, but John would probably agree that living with me is like riding a wave ... lol! Christine xx

  4. Hi Ang love your card. Had a quick scan of your blog so long since I have been this way but it is getting hectic with travel plans. What to pack and what not, will it be hot cold or indifferent. 3 weeks on Tuesday we will be arriving in Heathrow so turn the weather on for us please.
    Hugs

  6. Hello Ang, a great laugh this morning, I guess that is one way to get the men in our lives to be tidy! LOL. Sounds like the little kitties are more than keeping you on your toes. Your card is fab, love the multiple happy birthday stamping, and very suitable for a teenage boy, but done in a different colour would also be suitable for a teenage girl who is not a lover of flowery or fussy. Take care all. Bx

  8. Morning Ang, a stunning card for your nephew, I really like it. You have had me in stitches this morning reading the blog, I have been laughing so much I nearly wet myself, I could just imagine Mr D's reaction to all the peeing, I think you should give Kitty an extra treat for guiding you in the correct way to train your hubby, ha ha love it. I am certainly not that clever to come up with little snip its like this.

Sadly I won't be at Ally Pally this weekend, would love to go but it is not easy to get someone to take me as I have a mobility scooter, but I am going to Detling so will hopefully see John there too.

Have a great weekend. Oh and I agree about the sympathy cards, I do the same.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  9. Your anecdotes make me chuckle. I’m sure you’ll get Mr D and the kittens trained in time.
I had wondered if you were okay as I’ve looked each day for a post.
    Great idea for a card.

  12. Hi Ang, we are both laughing... Alistair and me, poor Mr. D, and he agrees the verse is just him.

  15. I would love to have John's month stamps. I have a grand son on the way any day and I thought an April card would be nice for him so see? Any age boy. I do realize that babies are not particular and the guy thing kicks in about ten.I think your card was perfect for a male teen.
Those kittens are such a hoot. Maybe I need a Lily to train my hubby. He never minds me. My little dog is fine with jackets thrown on the couch. He sleeps on them.
    Have a wonderful day,

  17. I can see why your nephew liked his card, Ang! That's a lovely verse for a lad and you've added lots of pizzazziness with your multiple birthday greetings! A design fete!! I almost kacked up a hair ball of laughter over the visual of you peeing on His Nibs castoff clothing! I think I might get a kitty after all!! Hugs, Darnell

  19. Beautiful card Ang! Love all the wonderful text and fabulous shades of blue. The embossing layer is a great addition for texture and interest. I scanned back through some posts to try and get the skinny on Lily and Molly, but couldn't find the original post. I assume you are adopting them? Well pee or no pee, good on you and I look forward to seeing many more pics of their sweet faces. hugs :)
