Good morning everybody peeps. Hope you are all well.
I've had a couple of down days again but its always worse when it affects my sleep. But onwards and upwards as my gynaecologist would say.
I was thrilled to get my undies in the fresh air again yesterday. Its the little things that can be the most satisfying...............said the bishop to the actress.
Sunshine and a good breeze and all is well with the World.
Nesta and I are hoping to meet up with some friends in Birmingham this week (can't say what day in case of a WART raid) which will be great as we haven't seen them since last year with my health ups and downs, then Nesta's Dad's illness.
Now, today's card is one of the recent samples I made for John for his last release of dies. I had to wait to get it back from John as the original photos I took were pants (as my good friend Kate would say). The wreath is glued onto acetate and I made the inside look as neat as I could.
Ingredients
White card
Black card
John Next Door Gerbera Circles dies
Presscut Squares dies
Acetate
Black bling
A simple and quick card that looks a bit different.
Jackie, ramblings would be a very accurate description of my collection of words lol!!!
Maureen, didn't realise that George was an elderly Mexican.....is he really Jorge Killendez?
Perhaps June S and Myra can give him the once over with their rubber gloves to make sure that he hasn't smuggled in some Sanatogen.
As for June F.......all I can say after your comment on my last post, the kitties are girls....ahem! Lol!!!
On that note....

Morning Ang, what can I say, this sample is gorgeous, elegance springs to mind with the lovely John's Gerbera circle dies, it is always better if you can make the inside neater when using acetate and you have done this to perfection, as always.
ReplyDeleteSave your washing for the next few days because it is going to be raining but then the weather will be getting hotter again and we should be in for a lovely May Bank Holiday, so your smalls will be able to blow on the wind - ha ha you do make me laugh with your comments.
Myra have you got your gloves ready - we would enjoy giving him the once over wouldn't we !! - sounds like John and Sam are having a good time.
Off to my craft group this morning, so best get myself in gear.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Morning Ang love the bling on the frame and a great Classy colours. It's raining here today. I am now getting Fed up of the rain we need it to warm up. Enjoy the rest of your week xx
ReplyDeleteReally effective Ang. Hope you get to meet Nesta.
ReplyDeleteThe wisterias are looking beautiful in London - saw several in full bloom whilst pushing my little granddaughter around yesterday.

Hi Ang this is a stunning card. Those dies are amazing and I love how you have used the acetate. I hope you have a good trip to Birmingham. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Ang as per.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day when it happens, xxx
Good morning Ang, well it was lovely yesterday and despite them still being a bit wet I did manage to get the lawns cut as well as a whirly gig full of washing out, dried, ironed and put away. Today is grey again and as I type this it has started raining again so once you meet up for lunch it may be as well to make it a lengthy affair to avoid the rain. Lets just hope that June's comments about the weekend come true. I must confess I bought this die but it hasn't seen the light of day yet with everything else that has been happening but it will eventually as your card has given me some inspiration. Very elegant. Love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteMorning Ang, sorry that I haven't commented for a while....recovery takes time !! Feeling a lot better now thank goodness. Had a look back at your blogs, lovely projects and beautiful cats !!! I can see they take up all of your time. Janice xx http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteFirst of all can I say that after being alerted by my friend Myra to the post after hers on your last card, it gave me the laugh of the week.
Today's card is CAS and the inside is beautifully neat.
Sorry that you've had a few bad days, but the fact that you've been going out and about in your underwear won't have helped. No wonder Flash has given up with you as competition!!!
love Maureen xxx
Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteI love the card and have to thank you again for making me laugh! There's a bit of an underwear theme I have to say lol.
Which reminds me I've been sorting out my drawers in the craft room, lol.
I will enjoy crafting even more now my drawers are respectable.
Bye for now,
Jayne xx
You all crack me up. We have plenty of sun here where I live but no one hangs out the wash anymore. I used to because I loved the fresh smell until my neighbor started burning his yard waste nearby and I would have to re-wash everything.
ReplyDeleteLove this card and I don't think it is all that simple as acetate can be daunting to me...where to hide the glue or parts you don't want to show, etc. Must have taken awhile to add all the rhinestones too.
Try to behave everyone but have fun,

ReplyDeleteA lovely card, Ang. The weather is glorious here this evening. I'm hoping that is the end of the rain as I am demonstrating lace making at the weekend.
ReplyDeleteTake care.

ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteI don’t know things are getting worse!! Now June, I know George and he is lovely.
Ang I’m glad you are going out to meet up with friends and fully understand the need for secrecy! I’m so relieved the kittens are female!!
Now to the card!! Is really lovely and putting the wreath on acetate is most effective! A really lovely card. Many thanks!
Love Myra xx
Hello Ang, a lovely classy and elegant card, love the look of the wreath on acetate. Hope you have a lovely time catching up with friends. Take care all. Bx

Hi Ang, great card. I don't often use Acetate but think I will have to try as this card has really inspired me.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely time with Nesta, just don't feel the need to rush home!!
Can I just say to anyone thinking of making an order but not sure, the service is brilliant, so get your order in. (and it gets Ang out of the house always a plus for the Wisty Warriors))

A lovely card I must try this idea of “floating” a die cut on acetate
ReplyDeleteHi Ang
ReplyDeleteI have to say straight away that you did give me a real titter lol. I'm so sorry you've had a few more bad days but delighted to know your undies have had another airing!
Now lets get down to the business of kitties and bells.... for the life of me I couldn't remember what I had posted about your cute kitties and had to re-read the post, I'm laughing again, slip of the finger, oh err matron, I did mean wellies, and I'm double checking the word before I hit post
Just as well I double checked because the powers that be changed my wellies to willies again, now what's that about, she asks laughing now hysterically!!
June x
PS love the card! x
ReplyDeleteNow you can't beat a good bit of acetate on a card. Come to think of it not used any lately. Come to think of it not made anything of late. Put it down to being hacked off.!! Back to your card though it is rather stunning in black. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeletebeautiful card and such a very super design too.
Love the black and white used and that wreath looks amazing from both sides.
Playing catch up as last week I had a girly week with my Daughter and Granddaughter and this week I had to catch up on cards I had to make.
Lots of crafty love and gentle hugs. Jenny L.
