Circular Gerberas. . . . . . . . .

Good morning campers......Hi De Hi !!!

Hope you are all well and had a nice weekend, especially those of you lucky enough to still have your Dad's with you.
Sadly, my Dad isn't so it was a trip to the cemetery yesterday. We decided to renew the edging around the grave and refresh the top with new decorative stone. It was busy up there due to Father's Day so you can imagine the odd looks we got as we got out of the car with a spade and black bags.Thankfully as it was a bit warmer, we didn't take the balaclavas.
Kate said it was probably reminiscent of Burke and Hare but I didn't know who they were lol!!!

Now, back to the card. This is another of the samples I made for John's last shows. Thank you for your kind comments on the samples and my "guest appearance" lol!!!

I don't do many shaped cards but this was the first card that I made with this die.

Ingredients
Cream card and various shades of pink and purple card
JND Gerbera Pop Out Circles dies
JND Sentiment die
CE Aztec Flowers embossing folder
Teeny gems

This is how I got the gradation of colour behind the pop outs.

I then cut the centre out too and glued it behind the pop ups.

Something different anyhoo.

Myra and Littlelamb, it is wonderful to make lifelong friends through crafting but sadly you have also been affected by Maureen's stalking tendencies.

June F, that wasn't Molly yawning. She was laughing in a sinister, almost maniacal way.
Molly doesn't do catnip but Lily got quite excited by the idea.............

Finally, Wendywoo, I wasn't at the studio, just at home on the phone. I don't think they dare risk my appearance on camera in case everyone switches over to Create and Craft lol!!!

Have a great week folks.

TTFN
Ang x

  2. Great card Ang I have only ever done one “circular” card I added a sentiment and when I tried to stand it up it kept wobbling to the wrong position so turned it into an easel card! I’ve learned now to slice a slither off the back piece I’m such a numbskull at times!
Now, I know you and you certainly wouldn’t send people running for the remote control to change to Create and Craft So maybe next time we could see you in front of the camera

  12. Hello Ang,
What a great way to get colour behind the flowers, it's genius and the card is beautiful.
I laughed at Myra's comment, she can be incredibly funny at times - but not very often ha ha.
Littlelamb, the cheque is in the post.
Hope you are keeping well Ang, Lily looks like a sweet gentle thing, at least that's what I've been telling the rest of the Warts!!!
    love Maureen xx

  18. I thought you idea of doing the multi-colored background was ingenious.
I agree. That was no laugh coming from Molly. She looks ready to attack!
