Good morning everyone. Hope all is well with you.
Thought that I had better not leave it so long this time or you may defect to the Watch Paint Dry blog to get a comparable level of stimulus lol!!!
I'm not going to get all soppy on you but I do appreciate you all bearing with the gaps and returning for more of my ramblings.
I know that some of you managed to get on to my cousins blog, though I don't think that she has posted anything recently but apparently, you click on the latter part of of the link, it takes you through.
Now, its another of John's samples today, also using one of the sentiments that will be on Monday's show too (they were swapped into the bundle when the star tags ran out last time)
Ingredients
White, black and yellow card
JND Snow Scenes dies
JND Festive Greetings die
CE Falling Snow embossing folder
Distress inks
White gel pen
It is as straightforward as putting layer on layer as this is a one piece card rather than a tri-fold. I used the yellow card to give the illusion of lights in the windows.
Now, to something exciting. The lovely Myra emailed me a photograph of a terrific card that she has made using John's dies and she has kindly agreed to let me share it with you all.
Myra doesn't have a blog but I thought that it deserved a moment in the spotlight.
I'm not sure if that is the pint glass that Myra has her daily Creme de Menthe in behind the card but I love how the petals have been popped through as I did on my sample using this die.
I think that Myra may have been concerned about what Maureen may say (can't think why.....) but I am sure that you will have enjoyed seeing this pretty card. Thank you Myra for sharing it.
June, 2 sets of twins a year apart??? Blimey, your Mum must have not slept for 2 years, bless her.
Maureen, the thought of you mounting anything worries me too but George, probably more so.
Maria, the stalls could have done better but I have covered the cost of each stall (excluding the money spent on home made cakes lol!!!) I have another today but at least its only a 2 hour one at a Summer Fair......probably knee deep in water in a force 10 gale.
I can't find the photos of the stall so I will have a proper look and post them next time. However, I did take this snap of the Wisty having the odd second flush of flower. Don't get jealous WART!!! Its only a little raceme but pretty none the less.
Have a great weekend..........F1 is back, hurrah!!!

Morning Ang, a beautiful sample today, I always love your work, so professional, and good luck on the stall today, it is blue skies and the sun is due to come out today so hopefully you will not need your wellies.
ReplyDeleteAnother little story regarding us twins, as it was 2 years after the war that we were born there wasn't a twin pram in any shops.......in the end the British Red Cross came to Mum's aid and got her one, it certainly did her proud when my sisters were born, with 2 up one end and 2 down the bottom, can you imagine that today.
I am looking forward to John's show on Monday but as it is my birthday that day and I will be travelling away for a holiday I am hoping I can get to see some of it in the evening.......so looking forward to it.
Well off to a parchment craft session this morning...not enough hours in the day is there.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Just love your sample today. The new sentiment is great. It’s good to see Myra’s inspiration from John’s collection too..
ReplyDeleteAs for wisterias, blink and a new shoot has been produced (ah! as they are so high up I can’t reach them) but as a bonus, there are loads of beautiful racemes on one of mine again. Think a hard cut back is needed.
Hope the stall goes well.

Good morning Fair Midden...Francie and Josie language... Who? do I hear you ask?? Anyway, your card is fabulous, Alistair says so too. I've not had a go at these ones yet, still not got over my disaster with the other one. I love your design.
ReplyDeleteMyra's card is quite stunning, what a pity, all these ladies follow John and create using his products, but we never get to see their creations, so thank you Myra for allowing Mrs. D to share this. I love your colours and it's beautifully created.
Have a good craft fair, hope you sell well, take care, Kate x
Hello Ang, love your card, it is really great for a festive card. Do you take commissions to make other peoples festive cards??? I am way behind again. Hope the fair goes ok. Myra's card is beautiful, thank you for sharing it. Have a great day everyone. Bx
ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteLove your card today, it reminds me of a winter scene from Heidi or some such Alpine story, however it's a pity you had to scrape the barrel and show Myra's card but bless her she tries lol. (I wouldn't be brave enough to show my cards so she's probably had sleepless nights!) As for the vase, it wouldn't be big enough for her wine!!
Hope you have a successful day today.
love Maureen xx
P.s. I can't possibly say anything nice about Myra's card, she'd think I'd taken leave of my senses!!!
DeleteHi Ang your Christmas card is stunning I just love it. Those dies are amazing. The shows should be good this week I bet there will be lots of sell outs as usual. Myra's card is gorgeous. Thank you for sharing. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs D, Love this card, and I am waiting not so patiently for Monday.Myra's card is very pretty too. Hope the fair goes well today, and I trust the girls are still on wisty watch!!Take care, stay healthy,Lots of Love Barbara D xx
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love your snow scene card - I love it --- what is the die you used - please tell me!!!! Is JND your friend John? I just love this card - you could make so many different scenes with it - even for summer and fall! I really enjoy reading your blog Ang. Don't know if I told you but I do hope to be making cards again in 2019.
ReplyDeleteWishing you much success this weekend.
Sandy xx
Loving the sky on this wintery card design. I also visited your cousin's blog. Lots of artistic talent flows through your family. Myra did a great job on her card. Beautiful Wisty blossom. I am jeasous you have these plants and that you get repeat blooms.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a beautiful card Ang. The more I see John's scenic dies the more I know I want them!
ReplyDeleteWhat can I say Myra - your card is stunning. I treated myself to the Gerbera pop out die last weekend whilst at Stamperama - sorry Ang, you know I'd normally shop with you but I couldn't resist, the cash was burning a hole in my pocket! I would love to try something similar if you don't mind.
It's a shame "we" don't do better at Craft Shows after all of the hard work that goes into it - that's what puts me off from trying. Perhaps when I have retired and have a little more time to craft on my hands I will give it a go. I hope today goes well for you.
I missed the Eclipse card - it's lovely I made one recently and thoroughly enjoyed making it
Wisty is looking great
Enjoy the rest of your weekend, especially the Grand Prix.
Hi Ang just love how well the scenic dies create such beautiful cards. My raspberry card is great too. It has taken time but mum is being brought home on Monday with the rehab team assessing what she can and cannot do to determine the care package needed. I think it is too soon but we'll just have to see how it goes. Hope your fayre went ok today. Enjoy the GP tomorrow. Love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteHello Jackie, I hope you get a good care package for your mam.
Deletexx
Not sure where the raspberry came from it should say Myra's
ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteJust got home a short while ago from a trip out! Maureen would tell you I need to get out more!!!
I love your card today - I like the yellow card idea for the windows too! Very effective! I also really like the winter sky with the lovely moon! Very very nice indeed!
Thank you for showing my card! I wouldn’t have sent if I’d known. It was just , as you know that you inspired that card!
Thank you everyone for being so nice about it too! Well, except Maureen - but she is right! If she had been kind I’d have passed out!
Oh Kate - Francie And Josie - a blast from my past!! Ha ha! Thanks for that.
Love Myra xx
Love your card today Ang. Great idea with the yellow card. Love Myra’s card as well but she already knows that. Hope the Craft Fair went well today. You don’t make much for them these days I find. Some times good sometimes you barely make the table money. Looking forward to John’s shows and love the new dies he has got.
ReplyDeleteAmazing card Ang, love the colour of the sky.
ReplyDeleteMyras card us gorgeous too. Xxx
Morning Ang,

Lots of crafty love and hugs and I hope this finds you well. Jenny L.
Loved your card here. My son is in Montana and it looks a bit like this so a nice card for his Christmas. Need to start thinking along those lines. It will be here sooner than later.
