Good morning campers.......Hi De Hi !!!
Yes its me, the Scarlet Duckpernel. Soooooooo sorry to be absent again. Things just seem to have so busy lately with making stuff for the craft fairs, doing the craft fairs (this weekend will be 3 weekends on the trot) and more samples for John.
Still, its given you all a break from my incessant ramblings (thought I would say that before anyone else does) but I am back in fine ramble form.
I must give a very warm and special welcome to my latest follower Marcelle.......a special welcome as Marcelle is actually my cousin. Marcelle is an Aussie as her Mum emigrated to Oz from Malaysia and my Mum came to the UK (I think I got the short straw there lol!!!)
I have been to Malaysia several times and met my Malaysian family but have never met my Antipodean family.
I have recently managed to get in touch with the Aussie Posse and the spooky thing is, Marcelle is a card crafter and scrapbooker, has a craft blog (http://marcellesmainia.blogspot.comhttp://marcellesmainia.blogspot.com/) and loves Becca Feeken !!! We also share quite a resemblance too.
Now, that's my news out of the way so I should get on to the card. I still have quite a few samples from John's last couple of shows in the vault so here is one of these.
Its my version of an eclipse card where I have mounted (steady Maureen !!!) the die cut as well as the letters.
Ingredients
Cream and green card
First Edition A Christmas Story paper (yes, I forced myself to use My Precious)
JND Holly and Ivy die
5cm large letter dies
I cut the frame out 4 times in red card and once in the paper and glued all the layers together, same with the letters. The rest gets stuck flat.
I have enjoyed making variations of these eclipse cards.
Well, I had better scoot as I have a lot of blog visits to catch up on too.
Thank you for all bearing with me and I shall pop a photo of the stall on the next post for those of you that haven't seen Facebook.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
TTFN

Welcome back Ang I hope the stalls were a success. Well done for using your 1st edition paper I know it must have taken a lot of courage ...lol. xx
ReplyDeleteMorning Ang, have missed you but your back now so brilliant news, but understand how busy you have been, I know John is on Hochanda soon so you must have been getting stuff ready for that too, you are one busy lady.
ReplyDeleteI must say I was so pleased to hear about your cousin Marcelle, and also to hear that she is a crafter and scrapbooker too - see it must be in the gene's. I will pop over and have a look at her blog later.
I also have had lots of stuff going one, so many birthdays, anniversaries etc. during July to September, and big ones too, -- I am a twin and we have twin sisters a year younger than us, mine and Jean's birthday is on the 27th and Rita and Rosie is on the 12 September (shush they will be 70 this year) that means very special cards, I have almost finished Jean's one, it is very different so I am hoping she will like it, will post pictures after the event. Anyway just now got the other twins to do. Stop rambling June..... it's her age!!!
Whoops!! nearly forgot to say how beautiful this creation is, you are one very talented lady.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteLove this card, wish I'd seen it before I took a load of Christmas card to the local Hospice!! Please give my commiserations to your cousin Marcelle - but I suppose someone had to be your relation (oops, am I in trouble now!) Just think, if you're mam had gone to Australia you wouldn't have had the pleasure of my posts ha ha.
I haven't tried an eclipse card, the thought of mounting anything worries me as I don't have a head for heights lol.
You've been a busy bee, watch you don't overdo it.
love Maureen xx
