Good morning everyone. How's things?
Been AWOL again as I just seem to have so many calls on my time lately. Sunday was John's and my workshop, which everyone seemed to enjoy and some beautiful projects were made.
This week its been birthday cards, baby cards and gift and my anniversary card for Mr D.
Now, today I am back with my DT card for MAWTT and today's theme is chosen by Sharon....................
One For The Boys
So lets see you all showcasing all of your male themed cards..........you know you want to!!!
Ingredients
White, black and red card
Photograph of grass
Large Alphabet dies
Swiss Dots embossing folder
JND Sentiment stamp
This is an eclipse card, which I am sure that you have all seen on tinterweb.
It was a little trickier than a standard eclipse, as I cut the ball out of the grass layer too.
This was for my brother in laws birthday last month and in case you hadn't guessed, he is a big golf fan.
He was happy with his unique card.
So get yourself over to MAWTT and see what the other DT gals have come up with.
Promise I won't leave it so long next time.

Ps...............Molly is very vigilant on Wisty alert from the watch tower.
Morning Ang, well it was worth the wait, so no problems for being away for a while, you, like all of us, are busy especially at this time of year, August is my biggest month for card making too.
ReplyDeleteLove the effect of the embossing folder on the golf ball on this one, brilliant idea. I might have a go at that at some stage too.
Stay cool in this heat and rest when you can.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Hi Ang, what a superb men's card, love the eclipse technique. Take care and stay cool, it's due to be a scorcher again today. Have a good day everyone. Bx

ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteMucked up my comment so I'm starting again - must do better, must do better!!
Love today's card but I've no idea what an Eclipse card is, that's my homework for today. Molly is a cute pussy and she'll be as good as gold when she sees the treats we have for her and Lily.
Hope you are keeping well.
love Maureen xxx

Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteI have indeed seen Eclipse cards but I didn’t know their name/ title! This would be a brilliant card for either of my sons . It’s very clever! I do like your Alphabet Dies! Any chance of those or similar being available in your Emporium!? It’s a winner for me!
Thanks for sharing.
Love Myra xx
Brilliant card Ang. Thank you for sharing this. Great idea. Would be good for my brother.
ReplyDeleteA great card for a golfer.
ReplyDeleteGlad the workshop went well. Need one to kick start me with cards again. Not having much time at present - too much gardening and watering.

Hi there Mrs duck. Love this card and it's just perfect for the theme I chose so thank you! I watched John on hochanda and I love his dies and your samples were just stunning! Xx
ReplyDeleteA great card Ang great inspiration. Glad to hear the workshop was such a success xx
ReplyDeleteGreat card I have never tried an Eclipse card tricky or otherwise
ReplyDeleteYou take care missus Don’t work too hard
Morning Ang

Great card. I love the golf ball. My hubby likes golf also but my mother is a fanatic. She can no longer play but that doesn't stop her from watching it on television (think watching paint dry for those of us less than enthusiastic).
ReplyDeleteWhile this card seems simple at first glance, I rather think it would be hard especially as you pointed out placing the K with the golf ball. I am sure you being so talented at making cards took it in stride. I have "indented" sentiments in card fronts but never tried this eclipse technique. I would think a large sentiment (word) die would work also? Must try soon.
Maureen, I am not so sure that Molly would be easily tricked with treats...look at those claws on the ready!
Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend, Ladies,
Stephanie K
