Nordic Noel. . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope that you are well.

I have been busy again. Went to a craft show on Friday and met up with some crafty chums, so all 9 of us met up at Mr L's booth and then went of coffee and cake. Lovely to catch up.

Since then. have been shuffling rooms around.
I have finally given in to John's suggestion that I move crafting operations into the spare room rather than the box room. The spare room is actually the biggest bedroom but we sleep in the back bedroom as its quieter.
I had always resisted, thinking we need a spare room "just in case" but when John asked how many times we had anyone sleep over in 18 years, the answer was 3 lol!!!
Mr D was on board, partly as I had started to overflow into there with website stock anyway and partly as he can have his own desk again without having to move a pile of stamps out of the way.

Fortunately, the double bed fits in the box room so we still have a "just in case". We are about half way through the move as it took Mr D most of Saturday just to go through one medium box of his crap stuff as he had to examine everything in minute detail and started reading one of the books he found!!! Attention span of a gnat!!!

Anyhoo, back to the matter in hand. Continuing with John's show samples, I decided to break out a sheet of my precious First Edition papers and create this nordic looking 8x8.

Ingredients
White, black, green and red card
First Edition Christmas Wishes 8x8 paper
JND Snowflower Cut and Emboss folder
JND Deer Scene deer die
Crafts Too sentiment
Red bling

I cut one of the loose deers from the set 4 times for the centre.

I will post a picture of the craft show purchases when I have a space to put them out to be photographed lol!!!

The tooth is not feeling better and wakes me up at 4am so I have to get up and take paracetemol. I think that I must start having a grind (steady!!!!!) at that time and that sets it off, as does chewing on it so I guess that I am going to have to bite the bullet (pun fully intended) and go back. My dentist is currently sunning himself in California so hope I can get in with someone else.

Well, I'm scheduling so its time for bed now Zebedee (showing my age lol!!!)

Hope that this week treats you all kindly.

Ps......Maureen , I may get things out quickly, but they get put back swiftly too in this weather!!!

  1. Love the card.
Great to catch up on Friday Ang. Hope the craft room gets sorted out soon - I’m spilling over from my craft room onto the dining room table at present but I need to clear it today.

  3. Hello Ang, what a fabulous card, John's new items are really great. Hope you get the craft room sorted. I really need to do mine, as have a few days off, and it is actually my home office, so have to move back in there, instead of working in the kitchen (and before hubs is off for a few days too!) Take care. have a good day all. Bx

  9. Hello Ang,
Gorgeous card today, and glad you enjoyed the craft show and had a good meet up. Sorry your tooth is still giving you gyp, I loath the dentist with the greatest loathing known to man, but I'm grateful to see him when toothache strikes.
You're obviously not a hardy Northern Lass, some of us let it all hang out whatever the weather! Then again there's the oldies like me who say "put it away"!!!
Enjoy your new craft room, it must be catching as Myra is creating hers at the moment (she's always creating one way or another).
    love Maureen xx

  10. Hello Ang,
Oh another lovely card! I really like this one too! Good idea to have a new craft room !! I’m in a real muddle just now as contents of Craft Room in Guest room! However Decorator made great progress today! It will be worth it! I’m sure you are doing the right thing!
Glad you had a lovely meet up with friends too. Sorry about the tooth though! Hope you can get some attention for it very soon!
Thanks again for sharing your lovely card! See that Maureen!!!
    Love Myra xx

  11. Love the colors you have used for this card. My craft room is slowly becoming a wardrobe for my daughters clothes that she cannot fit into her wardrobe ..lol.
sorry to hear your tooth is still not good - could you go to another dentist ?

  12. Lovely card Ang I’m currently watching John’s show Great dies I understand you’re there with him - lucky girl!
I hope you manage to get the toothache sorted
I totally agree with John re moving rooms I am trying to convince daughter that when looking for a new home do they really need any more bedrooms than 3 purely for that reason - how many times do they have people stay over and until she has a second child she has an office Then if need be think of an extension or summer house

  13. I remember this card from John's show and his saying you parted with that special piece of decorative paper. We do hoard paper and some pieces are too lovely to actually use.
My family did end up coming to our house during the hurricane to be safe. Fortunately their area of the coast (lower, near GA.) did not get hit like other parts of SC which are still experiencing much river flooding and damage. We went down for a week after they left here. My sister got a Russell puppy (who came to my house much to my old dog's ire). They never bonded after two weeks together. Maybe after Spencer settles a bit and looses those sharp puppy teeth...
I hope your tooth is better and you find a good emergency dentist. Toothaches are the worst.
Good Wednesday to everyone and happy organizing,
