Good morning Pondlings. Hope that you are all well and not in shock at the drop in temperature.
Its been brass oojits here and there has been mention of heating under muttered breath by Mr D but I just give him my "Not until November, put another jumper on" look.
The Girls have now got an old duvet for a bed in the kitchen. Its about 12 tog all folded up so it stands about 8 inches high and they love it. They also have their fleece bed in the living room and a big old cushion in the craft room so they officially have more beds than we do lol!!!
Now, as some of you may know, it was Mr Lockwood's birthday yesterday and this was the card I sent to him. It was supposed to be hand delivered on Friday but he had a crafting emergency so we couldn't meet up.......hoping for a chance today.
Of course, it had to include stags so there are 4 on this.
Ingredients
White card
Silver mirror card
Dovecraft stag die
Anna Griffin Flourish Emblem die
Memory Box alphabet dies
Dovecraft chipboard stag (coloured with silver Krylon pen)
2 silver stag pins
Go Press silver foil
Silver satin ribbon
This was my very first time using my Go Press foiling machine and I am very impressed,
I used it on the stag in the centre and the Anna Griffin die for the top layer.
Its very easy to use and I love the results.
Hopefully Mr L likes it (haven't heard one way or the other yet lol!!!
Karen, the eclipse cards are made from one sheet of card and what you cut out is raised up by using either foam or several die cuts of the same shape stuck on top of each other, I prefer to use card rather than foam as I find it easier to glue card on card on card.
I did take some pics of the process on a card I made so I will pop them on the blog next time so you can see what I mean.
Off to London tomorrow with Mr D to meet up with his brother and other half. Did ring to book a table but as the guy asked me to spell my name 5 times, thought my surname was my first name, had to give him the email address 3 times and my phone number twice, I'm not convinced that we are booked...........may well end up having a Maccy D lol!!!
Thank you for your comments on my last card and about my eyes. I have a feeling that Flash has burned certain images on my retinas lol!!!
Mrs Flash has still not been seen since Binbaggate................................

Ps......all the best to those having their flu jabs.
PPS.....I have popped the poster for my first workshop on the sidebar.
Morning Ang, I am sure John absolutely loved this card, it is stunning. Hope you manage to get your meal out in London. Take care. Bx
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card ANG, John will love it
ReplyDeleteThank you for the tips re Eclipse card It makes total sense now I was imagining you have to use two pieces of (valuable card) to create it ie one as a background and one to cut the image from doh! That was a real senior moment!
Say Hi to Mr L when you see him
Enjoy your meal Hopefully they have your name right and haven’t substituted the letter “D” for another not so nice word! Take care xx
I am sure John loved the card, Ang. The foiling looks great.
ReplyDeleteI have always used quite deep foam pads for eclipse cards as I like to see a bit of the colour from the layer beneath. You do need to make sure the paper/card is thick enough though.
Enjoy your day in London.
Anne (Northampton)
Hi Ang this is a stunning card that you have made for John. I love the foiling it looks amazing. I know John will adore this card. Enjoy your trip to London I am sure the booking will be fine. But if not there are loads of good restaurants around. Have a great week. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteMorning Ang,

I think John must have loved this card! Stags galore and using the Go Press & Foil. Very beautiful card. You picked perfect dies to show off.
ReplyDeleteThose kitties are spoiled for sure...not far to find a bed to catch a nap on around their house. It seems funny to think of the heat. We still have the air kicking on here although the nights are cooler and the mornings are darker. I always feel sad when summer is over.
Your workshop sounds like so much fun. I wish we had all the craft goings on that are in the UK. I have to drive to another town an hour away once a week just to get to a paper crafting shop which is only open 3 days a week.None of these cool classes either. You are so lucky.
Have a great day & good luck tomorrow with your reservation,
Stephanie K
Hi Ang what a stunning card, I absolutely love it, John will too.
ReplyDeleteHave a marvellous time out in London tomorrow, Kate x

ReplyDeleteLots of Love Barbara D xx
A stunning card Ang and love the foiling. I have also just started using my Go Press and don’t know why I waited so long. I am sure John loved the card. Enjoy the trip to London. About Flu jabs. Went for mine Saturday morning. A long queue and got almost to the front when the nurse came out and said that the flu vaccine for the over 65’s had run out! Apparently the over 65’s vaccine is different. Have to wait for them to phone now. The queue diminished a lot.
ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteFabulous card today, I'm sure the boyo loved it. The kittens are spoiled rotten aren't they? I bet you've even given them the duvet off your bed, or did you forget to count that one ha ha. My next door neighbour always had a terrible job booking taxi's or reservations so she said her name was Smith and never had any bother - her real name was Moger pronounced Mow Jah!!! Hope your table is booked and the meal is tasty.
love Maureen x
Hi Ang
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic card. I am sure John loved it. My cats are staying in more now the weather is cold and the dogs just want to sleep. Not long till the clocks go back .. urgg xxx
It is gorgeous Ang, I,m sure he loved it, better than the one I didn,t send lol. Xxx
ReplyDeleteMorning Ang, oh this card is super duper and I bet John loves it, it ticks all his boxes with the stag and foiling. One day I hope when the prices come down a bit that I can afford a foiling machine.... see those pigs flying ha ha
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your selves on your trip out, if you are not booked into the restaurant you could always slum it by having fish and chips in news paper walking along the river......ah memories of my courting days so many years ago!!!
Flu jab went well, no problems
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteYou always make me smile but today I’ve been giggling!! Firstly at the brass oojits which have caused confusion in the ranks and then at your pampered kittens!!
I hope you you had a great day in London and that you ate where you intended!
Your card is gorgeous! John would love it I’m sure! I’d love to see a proper demo of the Go Press Foiling Machine! The results look very effective. By the way I’ve ordered the alphabet dies!
Many thanks,
Love Myra xx
