MAWTT Challenge 83 . . . . . .

Good morning guys and gals. Hope you are all well.

Yes, you have arrived in the right place, I'm just having a tinker with a different blog layout...........please let me know what you think. I was going for a less fussy look. The background photo is a close up of a clematis in my garden.........maybe I will change it for a wisteria pic?

Now, its new challenge time again at MAWTT and the lovely Amy has selected the theme of

                      👻👻👻  Halloween  ðŸŽƒðŸŽƒðŸŽƒ

Please pop yourselves over to the blog and have a look at the spooky offerings from my other teammates and why not join in for a bit of fun.

I don't "do" Halloween, not for any religious reason, its just not something that has appealed, even when I was a kid, so I didn't really have anything in the stash for it.
I did toy with the idea of a photo of Flash au natural but I decided that may be too scary, even for Halloween. I do have a black cat for hire though...........

Ingredients
White, black and orange card
Black gloss card
Memory Box Alphabet dies
Trimcraft download cat paper
Black die cut cat (see below)
Black gems

I had a look on line and found some Halloween papers as a free download from Trimcraft so I picked the cat one (unsurprisingly lol!!!) to go with the fabulous glossy black cat die cut that I did have in my stash.
My lovely blog chum Barbara (the talented lady who made my miniature orchids and wisteria) sent me a smashing card when we adopted The Girls and I loved the die cut cats on it, so Barbara kindly sent me lots of the die cuts in different papers.
I think that the black glossy one looks just splendid for this theme.

Anyhoo, best scoot as I have a list of jobs as long as a roll of wallpaper so thank you for stopping by and all the lovely comments.

Be good.

  5. Hello Ang,
I think I'm just a kid at heart. Love this card and I always made loads of them for friends' and neighbours' children and my own grandchildren. Of course Halloween wasn't even celebrated when my daughter was a child never mind myself (war time), but we throw ourselves into it now and enjoy ourselves, the spookier the better!! (I don't even have to change lol)
    love Maureen xx

  13. Morning Ang, I am with you regarding Halloween, I really don't like it, everywhere you go it is this silly faces and things yuck........... I do like your sample though because to me it is not Halloween, it is a card that is suitable for a cat lover and what a kind friend you have to send you lots of the cut outs.

I am undecided about the blog background, perhaps it will grow on me.......

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  17. A lovely Hallowe’en card. The cat paper is great, though I’m not into cats or Hallowe’en. Having said that, my sister is so I always do a cat card for her birthday.
    Blog layout is fine.

  18. For someone who doesn't "do" Halloween, you sure made an excellent Halloween card, Ang! Love the cat, especially in glossy black and the cat pp is perfection! You do know that all of us would have loved a Hallowee card with Flash as the star!! ❤Hugs, Darnell

  19. Maureen and I must be the minority here as I always make Halloween cards, only 12 or so, for family and friends. They are fun cards. We always enjoyed Halloween when I was a child. The neighbors would all join in with the candy and popcorn balls and we all loved dressing up and ringing bells. My best friend's mother had everyone in for hot cocoa and doughnuts so we could warm up. I lived in a cold state then and we always had snow on the ground by Halloween.I guess it is an American holiday/tradition and sadly its not the same here now as when I was young.
I think wisteria for a background would be great and I love your Halloween card. I made several with cats too.
    Everyone, enjoy your day,
