Snowflake Lattice Eclipse. . . . . . .

Good morning all. Hope that everyone is well. October already......can we put the brakes on this year please!!!

Thank you, as always for your lovely comments about the previous card and about my future workshop. I'm nervous and excited in equal measure.

The craft room move is progressing nicely with most of the furniture sorted. I just need to get a bigger desk for me as Mr D has now got one of the two that I had and the remaining one is too small for me to sprawl over on its own.
I'm not quite sure if I like being in the bigger room as it was handy just being able to swivel on the chair and reach any of the 4 bookcases but now, I have to get up and move.........oh well, it will be exercise lol!!! At least I have a separate area for my machines, Grand Calibur, Go Press etc so I don't have to clear the decks every time I want to do something.

Now, back to the card. Yes, another of John's samples from one of the Christmas die shows but I do have a plethora of them still to show lol!!! Also, another dabble with an eclipse card using something other than letter dies.

Ingredients
White card
First Edition Christmas Wishes paper
JND Snowflake Lattice die
Crafts Too sentiment
Dovecraft bling

I love the illusion of depth that you get with an eclipse card.

Well, another busy week with shopping, another hospital appointment, catch up with Nesta and John and making a desk lol!!!
The housework has also be somewhat neglected of late but I was testing the theory about dusting, that if you leave it for 5 years, it actually doesn't then get any worse. I will let you know how that pans out.

As for the GP this weekend, very disappointed in Mercedes.

On that note, off to bed now (scheduling so its Sunday night). Hope this week treats you all kindly.

  7. Hello Ang,
Love the illusion of depth. Layered cards are so expensive to send now. Good luck at the hospital. Your room seems to be coming on in leaps and bounds, in more ways than one!! A rope from the ceiling to swing to various storage points might be worth considering ha ha.

  11. I'm rolling over the dusting comment. Please do let us know the result of your experiment. I think my house manufactures dust but you're saying there may be light at the end of the tunnel?
Now to the card...I am quite intrigued. Do you cut it out of foam and then cut the paper and lift it out of its place on the foam die cut? Very pretty card and I did get this die so maybe its achievable. I am too far to come to your workshop. I do believe that those on your side of the pond have more fun and know more about paper crafting than we do (probably other subjects too). Wish I could join in.
I hope your appointment is nothing serious.
    Best wishes,
    Stephanie K

  12. Very effective I love Eclipse cards and using a die cut looks so good You’ll get used to the new space very quickly Luckily my chair is on wheels and so I wheelie myself around my space!

  13. Hello Ang,
Another lovely card! I’d never have thought of doing that - it’s very effective and great for posting!
Like you I’m still sorting out a Craft Room. I think I need a chair with wheels as Karen has suggested, mine is heavy and doesn’t move easily. Speaking of wheels - I thought GP was your doctor to start with - with a rather unusual name!! Lol!
Interesting dust theory! Lol! Stephanie wish you were nearer too !
