Oakham and Acetate. . . . . . . . . .

Good morning guys and gals. How are you all?

Before I forget, I wanted to thank you all for your fantastic comments on the tissue box cover.
I really had fun making it......time consuming but loved it.

Its been a chilly old few days here at The Pond. We have even had to leave the heating on one night on low.

I took my second workshop over at Staunton Harold last week and had a fabulous time.
I had an attentive group of gals and they made some gorgeous cards. I will share them with you soon. They did a fantastic job.

Had another hospital appointment this week with my renal consultant and good news is that my kidney function has improved so he's released me from his clinic but they will still keep an eye on things. So happy and releived.
However, I decided, in the interest of health and fitness, to walk the mile and a half to the hospital rather than take the car. Both of my Achilles were twinging a bit en route. They have been a bit niggley lately but I've just carried on.
I had to get the bus home and by bedtime I was in agony. I refused to go to the hospital so have been hobbling around like a penguin with diarrhorea for the past few days but they have improved...the first night, I couldn't actually stand up!!!
Have dug out the heel cups from 3 years ago and bought some new ones too and they have helped.
Just as you are over one thing eh???
Another hospital appoitment this week but this time, I'm taking the car lol!!!

Anyhoo, back ti the card. Another of the samples that I made for John's last shows and this one uses the Oakham Lattice on acetate.

Really love this die set.

Well, Mr D has bought me a hot ginger (and no I don't mean Damian Lewis) so I shall bid you adieu.

Hope that this week treats you all kindly.

  2. Oh dear, Ang. If it’s not one thing, it’s another. Ageing bodies are no fun, I know!
The Oakham die is lovely - think I’m going to weaken over its purchase although I had resolved to use what I have this year!
Glad the workshop was a success - looking forward to March.

  8. Hello Ang,
Great news from the hospital and pleased that you've been released from the Clinic (I am deliberately making no funny remarks). Sorry to read that your heels have really knocked you for six, keep waddling about gently until they recover.
Oops, nearly forgot about the card. Tt's a stunner and I love the "floating" effect.

  10. I just received my Oakham die Friday and have not been able to find time to play with it. Tomorrow should have a day to myself to break it out. This card is a great inspiration and it is beautiful. I do love the internet as it brings so many wonderful ideas, products and lovely people into my world.
I admire you for taking that walk. I have issues with my leg (that is actually from my back)and some days I can barely make the mailbox and other times I am fine. Bugs me. I am sorry you paid for your bravery the next day. I have that a lot.
You did receive good news at least. Keep yourself warm and well,
    Stephanie K

  13. Hi Ang,
what a very gorgeous card and your design is so beautifully created.
I can see why you love this die.
Have you tried Ginger Bread Green Tea it's gorgeous.
    It's made by Twinnings.
They also do a backwell tart flavour as well very nice when you want something sweet with no cals.
I also think Damian Lewis could be my Toy Boy any day. LOL.
Lots of crafty love and hugs. Jenny L.
