Gratitude. . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope this finds all well with you and yours.

Thank you again for your visits and comments and also for the cards, presents and beautiful flowers I have received. You are a special bunch of kind hearted folk.

I have had one set of biopsy results through so far. There is kidney damage but the consultant thinks that there is nothing urgent to try and tackle as yet, which is good but they still can't find the cause of the issue so are unable to treat it. It's likely that there will be no treatment so we'll just have to hope that the decline will be a slow one.
There are further tests being done and I have to have a nuclear medicine scan which will give them a more precise picture of how both kidneys are functioning rather than relying on a calculation from blood tests which can be 5% out either way.
Still worried but not much I can do so if I had a pecker, I would try and keep it up.

Now today's card is one I made for Mr D to send to his bosses from us both, probably a year ago as a thank you for the emergency time off he had to have whenever I ended up hospital.

Ingredients
Cream and powder blue card
CE Tartan Trellis embossing folder (embossed and debossed used on the different layers)
Lindsey Mason (for Personal Impressions) sentiment stamp
Teeny blue pearlage

I thought that simple, but hopefully classy, was the way to go.

As I am on enforced "take it easy" time, I have been organising my photos on the laptop and there are quite a few cards that I haven't blogged as yet so, as I can't lift my Grand Calibur at the moment, it's just as well.

Still bruised and getting the odd twinge but can't wait until Friday when I can drive again. My friend Davey has just returned from a break in Madrid (I think he had cold casternets for a few days) so hopefully meeting him with Nesta in the week.

I am shocked to hear that my lovely Mr B May actually be a cunningly disguised drone fashioned and deployed by WART.
I have supplied all sorts of birdie treats for his delectation over the years so it's very concerning to think he may be an imposter........mind you, I suspect that Mrs B may be even more concerned.
At least being stuck at home, I can keep an eye on things!

No action on the neighbour front from Flash but a house whose back garden backs onto the bottom of our road had its lightweight metal shed lifted in the winds and hanging over their wall.......that's what has passed for entertainment in these parts this past week.

I shall now wish you all a happy Sunday and happy week ahead.

TTFN
Ang x

  1. A classy card Ang, I’m sure hitting the right note.
Pleased one set of results are through as waiting for them is so nerve wracking.
Enjoying lots of sun still in NZ and plent6 of lovely beaches as well as activities in Christchurch. Best of all though, being with my son and family. Both my little grandchildren have been doing loads of crafting with me.
I gather from family and friends at home that I’ve not missed a winter heatwave.

Love how you have carried on that wonderful embossed design to the central part, and that sentiment is great.

  8. Hello Ang,
Perfect, not over the top, card today.
Will it still be safe for us to contact you via your blog when you go nuclear? Not that I'm worried of course, but I don't fancy being lit up in the dark, as it would mean George would be able to find me!
I hope this latest investigation will show exactly why this is happening and find a solution.
By the way, Mrs B knows about Mr B ha ha.

  16. This has come to my attention today. Please read over it,perhaps using this natural treatment will help your health issues.SGY
Subject: Asparagus: retired Navy man...He was a retired biochemist from the USN... patient had very bad kidney infection...Elderly gent told me man should have eaten more asparagus, and he wouldn't have that problem. I asked why?... do you eat asparagus?...you notice how your urine stinks after eating asparagus?...yes it does have a pungent odor. He said it is because it is detoxifying your body of harmful chemicals!
    Asparagus -- Who knew?
My Mom had been taking the full-stalk canned style asparagus, pureed it and took 4 tablespoons in the morning and 4 tablespoons later in the day. She did this for over a month. She is on chemo pills for Stage 3 lung cancer in the pleural area and her cancer cell count went from 386 down to 125 as of this past week. Her oncologist said she will not need to see him for 3 months.
THE ARTICLE:...Man seeking asparagus for a friend who had cancer.. gave copy of article, entitled "Asparagus For Cancer" printed in the Cancer News Journal, December 1979. I am a biochemist, and have specialized in relation of diet to health...I learned of discovery of Richard R. Vensal, D.D.S. that asparagus might cure cancer...number of favorable case histories...
Case No. 1, Man with an almost hopeless case of Hodgkin's disease (cancer of the lymph glands) was completely incapacitated. Within 1 yr of starting asparagus therapy, doctors were unable to detect any signs of cancer, and he was back on strenuous exercise
Case No. 2, Man, 68 yrs old, suffered from cancer of bladder for 16 yrs. After yrs of medical treatments, including radiation without improvement, he began taking asparagus. Within 3 months, examinations revealed his bladder tumor had disappeared & kidneys were normal.
Case No. 3, On 3 Mar 1971 man had lung cancer...widely spread that it was inoperable...He heard abt Asparagus therapy & started taking it. By August, x-ray pictures revealed all signs of cancer disappeared.
Case No. 4, Woman had been troubled yrs w/skin cancer. Within 3 months after beginning asparagus therapy, her skin looked fine with skin lesions. Woman reported asparagus therapy also cured her kidney disease. ... experiments, in 1739, of asparagus dissolving stones.
For treatment, asparagus should be cooked before using. Fresh or canned can be used...two leading canners of asparagus, Giant and Stokely, contain no pesticides or preservatives. Blend cooked asparagus in blender to make a puree. Store in refrigerator. Give patient 4 full tablespoons twice daily, morning and evening. Patients usually show some improvement in 2-4 weeks. Puree can be diluted w/water & used cold or hot drink...larger amounts can do no harm and may be needed in some cases... Asparagus contains good supply of protein called histones, which are believed to be active in controlling cell growth,, believe asparagus can be said to contain substance called cell growth normalizer...National Cancer Institute states, asparagus is highest tested food containing glutathione, which is considered one of the body's most potent anticarcinogens & antioxidants.
Just a side note... In case you are wondering why this has not been made public, there is no profit in curing cancer.
Please send this article to everyone in your Address Book. The most unselfish act one can ever do is paying forward all the kindness one has received.

  22. Hi Ang, seem to be playing catch-up these last couple of weeks, but hopefully will get back to normal soon. Love the card and the sentiment - very classy.
So pleased to hear that the results are not as bad as you feared and hope that the next set are even better.
We have decided to postpone our planned Wisteria raid whilst you are still under the influence of the Nuclear Medicine, for the reasons already stated by Maureen, however I did point out that it could have benefits in that it would make your house and therefor the Wisteria more visible to our detectors.
    Hugs Wendy
