Holly Holly. . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope that you are all well.

Had a fabulous day at the workshop with John on Sunday. Lovely ladies as always and a great change of venue to the Premier Inn, who really looked after us.

I didn't think that I had been overdoing things, apart from humping the odd box but I did suffer Sunday night and yesterday. Wasn't helped by being tired as Mr D was doing his snoring pig chorus impression on Saturday night. I would have normally hoofed him next door (spare room not the neighbours..........although, thinking about it..........) but all the workshop stuff was boxed and on the spare bed.

Sorry to hear about Maureen's incapacity. Will be tricky steering the bloomers with a hand injury (paper cuts can be very painful) unless Yorkie B and June are going to step into the breech......talking of which, I need to know who I am aiming the canon at.

Karen, they do say "sharp scratch" in our neck of the woods too but I'm not quite sure why they bother saying anything. Just stick it in and get it over with (that's probably another phrase that's gotten some gals into trouble too).

Anyhoo, back to the card. Its another Christmas 2016 card that was lurking in my annals (hope I've spelt that right otherwise it could take on an entirely different meaning lol!!!).

Ingredients
White and blue card
Silver mirror card
Sue Wilson Holly Octagonal Frame
Sheena Douglass Holly embossing folder
Teeny bling

A quickish but interesting card imho. The aperture is cut out of the white card before running it through the embossing folder.

Well, as I am scheduling this on Monday evening, I shall finish my hot lemon and then away to my bed and hope I can sleep tonight without strangling someone..........what is the criteria for diminished responsibilty???

On that note, take care all, thank you for your visits and be good.

TTFN
Ang x

  7. Love the card and you’ve given us another chuckle today.
Great workshop where we learnt loads, spent too much and enjoyed the company of other crafters. Thank you so much, but not surprised you were tired - think I did say something to you about not overdoing things. Hope you have an easy week.
With my London granddaughters today but we did chat to the NZ family yesterday evening. Thank goodness for technology.

  8. Hi Ang,
Thanks for making me laugh. There hasn't been too much laughter in my house lately as 14 weeks on I'm still waiting for the hospital to do something about my knee.
Watch this space there may be a headline about someone commiting violence with crutches involved, lol. I have to laugh and you certainly help me.
I love your card too.Your very talented artist and comedienne xx

  13. Hi Ang,
so glad the workshop went well.
Sorry to hear you are tired though.
I too have a snoring chorus at times in my house, but I shouldn't grumble as I can do my fare share too, but hubby sleeps through mine. LOL.
Your card is excellent and such a super design.
Love that embossing folder and the card you have used for that wonderful die cut.
Hope you are feeling less tired now.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  14. Hi Ang, love the card and the EF is great also. Glad that you enjoyed your Workshop but sorry that you suffered after it, you really should look after yourself and not try and do to much.

  15. Hello Ang,
You see you will try to do too much and then suffer for it. In future Wendy and I will tend your garden so that's one thing less on your mind he he!
Glad Sunday was a success - but that's no surprise - I bet everyone had an amazing time.
As a child I used to have an injection every day for a year and Nurse Dagg (I'll never forget her name) used to give the injection by throwing it like a dart!! Ah yes, memories ha ha. There is no way it could be described as a little prick, more like a mighty spear!!
I hope you are feeling better today, my son in law is pulling my house apart again and the sitting room is under attack - but it will be lovely when it's finished ha ha.
Take care, rest easy, we'll leave you in peace for the moment.
    love Maureen x
