Gerbera Apertures. . . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope all is well with you. Where the heck did February disappear to then?

Apologies for being missing again but its been a combination of not feeling 100% and being busy with bits and bobs.
Staying warm has been a priority as its been colder than a penguin's chuff in these here parts. We currently have about 6 inches of snow but it is beginning to melt.
The Girls haven't been out yet but I did bring some snow inside for them to investigate.
Molly was pretty nonplussed but Lily loved it, licking and munching it.......bet she's not so keen when she is old enough to have her paws in it lol!!!

Now, I'm back with another of the samples I made for John. I wanted the inside to look neat, even with an aperture so have included a photo of the 3 layers so you can see how I did it.

Ingredients
Cream card
Gingerbread card (Limetree)
Terracotta Blaze card (Limetree)
JND Gerbera Panel
JND Gerbera Circles (Sentiment and circle dies)
Hougie for scoring
Pearlage

The rectangle apertures in the gingerbread card are rough cut as they are sandwiched between the other 2 layers so wouldn't be seen.

Another busy week ahead with a visit to the dentist, 2 visits to the vets (not me I hasten to add with the vets, although my nails could to with a clip), meeting up with some old work pals and shopping. Hopefully, the weather will allow all of these activities.

Hope that whatever this week brings for you, it is warmer and kinder to you.

TTFN

  9. Hi Ang, glad to say that the snow is starting to melt here in Kent too. I haven't been out for ages... and have enjoyed being indoors in the warm. My craft fairs were cancelled, which in a way I was pleased about, as I didn't expect a good turnout. I've bought the background die of these gerberas, and the ribbon threaded. Great card btw !! Lol !! Janice x http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com

  11. Hello Ang,
Love this card and I'm like you (sorry) but I like neat interiors as well. I've been AWOL as, like Wendy, I've been struck with "the bug", in future we'll have to wear masks when we meet up. Some say that I should wear a mask all the time ha ha.
Sorry to read that you aren't 100% and hope that you pick up soon.

  15. Hello Ang,
Thank you for sharing your lovely card and how you made it look so neat inside! I like that too!
You have a busy week! Take care and hope all goes well.
As for these Wisteria Thieves - all this trouble to which they have gone beggars belief! It would have been cheaper to buy one!!
    Love and thanks, Myra xx

  16. John is always showing off Mrs. Duck's beautiful cards so I thought I would investigate and am glad I did. Thank you for the very clear instruction "how to's". I love that it looks so professional inside too.
Love your kitten tales. They are lucky to be in and warm and fed.
