Good morning folks. Hope all is well with you and yours.
Sorry I have been missing again but have had another few rough days. I suppose the body occasionally decides to remind me that it is not 100%.
Before I forget, if LaVonne is viewing this, I have tried replying to your email but your server is blocking me. I will pop a couple of explanation photos on my next blog post for you.
Now, today I am back with a card from my annals (Lord, I do hope that I have spelt that correctly lol!!!) as its been lurking from when I did some samples for John when he was still demoing for CE. I have a few in this folder so its time for them to have their day in the spotlight.
Ingredients
Cream card
Rich Plum foundation card
SW Mauritius dies
CE Jacobean Floral embossing folder
SB Bitty Blossoms
Plum satin ribbon
Pearlage
I left it sentiment free until I have decided where its going (yes, I still have the card in my card box lol!!!)
I thought that you may like to see how the Kitty Ninja training is going, With the camouflage photo on the previous post, if you look very closely, you can just see two green specks for Molly's eyes. Having black leather furniture has posed problems of an evening if she has decided to park herself on our chairs and only the table lamp is on. We have to double check before we sit down.
Above is Lily practising a half nelson on Molly.
A chickenwing over the shoulder crossface manoeuvre I believe.
Stephanie, its the Wisteria that I am worried about being stolen by the WART brigade which is why Molly is on patrol lol!!! Barbara, if you can come up with a camouflage idea for Lily, that would be great.
Maureen, thank you for your kind offer to come and nurse me but Mr D is stepping up to the plate. The Girls are managing to keep flies, bees and pigeons off the Wisty so your silk bloomers will pose no threat to them. I have been waving Mr D's undies at them to put them on scent (metaphorically speaking, thank goodness)
We have to be on alert as June, hopefully feeling better now, has tried to lull me into a false sense of security saying Mr F has now planted his own wisteria but I know that it takes 7 years for a young wisty to establish and flower for the first time (as happened with my white one).
Well, that's me for now. Hopefully we will be getting this mini heatwave..........June S, get your bikini ready!!!

Good Morning Ang, sorry to hear that you have not been 100% for a few days but pleased you are on the mend. I am loving the sample shown today, the colours are so well chosen and I also like the idea of showing some of the older dies (no matter who's) so that is gives us more ideas and this is certainly a good one to try.
ReplyDeleteLilly and Molly look real characters, it is lovely to see them sparing around but they are very close too. Unfortunately my husband is allergic to anything fur, feathers as well as other things so we have never had any pets. Keep up the good work with the wisteria.
Now as to a bikini ........ if I could ever squeeze into one again the sun would disappear with shock never to be seen again so I won't subject you all to that, but I am looking forward to some heat instead of the horrible fog and rain, hubby has been out in the garden painting all the fencing and mowing the lawns back and front and also 3 of our neighbours front lawns, they are all either elderly or too ill to do it themselves.
Well best get myself in gear as I am off to my craft group this morning, which I run every week for about 14 ladies, we hire a room in a local church which is really nice.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
I love this die and I have mine lurking in my die box, never used along with lots of others!!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. xxx
There are so many lovely dies out there so it’s great to see what you’ve created - a beauty.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you’ve got your hands full. Glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better now.

Hi Ang this is is stunning card. You know I think I have this die and I have never used it. I am sorry you have been poorly. It sounds like you are being well looked after. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi Ang firstly so sorry that you have been having a tough time of it recently and do hope that things improve quickly..
ReplyDeleteYour card is as usual beautiful and deserves its day in the limelight.
I have to tell you that we will shortly be running a recruiting drive for The Wisty Liberation Front and flyers have been issued to all Cat Lovers Societies so we get the right team as we would not like to frighten your security team and cat food has been ordered.
Wendy xx
Hi Ang pleased to hear you are feeling a bit better now. The sunshine should help and hope you have it as good as it is here today. Having finally been able to mow the lawns yesterday even though still quite wet I could have done with June's husband to lend a hand!! I'd like to think Lily was giving a protective arm rather than a half nelson being practised but who knows? It's great that they are getting on. As for your archives I think it is good to bring out some of the dies we all have hidden away. Goodness knows we all have too many we don't use!! Love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this gorgeous card and your brilliant sense of humour made me laugh out loud. Sorry I haven't been in touch for ages.
My knee is still misbehaving and the rest of my body decided to join in.
Sorry to hear you've been struggling on the health front. It's a good job we never let things affect our sense of humour do we? xx
Hello there Ang, what a lovely card, beautifully designed, love the colour theme.
ReplyDeleteBlown away by your card, arrived this morning, thanks so much, very touched.....well you know that of course lol. Will email later, take care, Kate x x

The girls look adorable and I am sure you are enjoying them I will work on Lily's camouflage and let you know.Take care Lots of Love Barbara D xxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a relief to know that the Kitty Nija's are not the target of intruders and that they will protect (?) your wisteria. I see in the pictures they are keeping in top form.
ReplyDeleteWe all recognize Sue's die here and its always good to see an old friend. Julia Watts did a show with some of the older background dies and it was quite lovely. You card is beautiful. I can never master the shaped flowers. They look real on your card.
Looking forward to John's new roll out on Hochanda Sunday night. Maybe you did some pretty samples for him?
Wishing you plenty of sunshine. Feel better. Warmer weather and those cute munchkins antics will help.

ReplyDeleteHello Ang. Hope you aww feeling a lot better now. Lovely card. I don’t have this die. Think the Wisteria is safe for a couple of days at least. Have had a hectic day today so feeling quite tired now and tomorrow isn’t going to get any better. Never mind. All good fun.
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteanother very super card and design.
Love the design and your wonderful colours used.
Such a pretty centre die too.
Good for you training the kitties to patrol the Wisteria after their last photo they can camouflage brilliantly.
You take things easy and take all the help offered by Mr D hopefully you will soon be feeling better.
Lots of crafty love and gentle hugs.Jenny L.
Hi Ang
ReplyDeleteLove this card, I think I too may have this die! Must check it out
The kitties are so cute and I admire their training regime, will pass this on to Mr F who tells me he may have a secret ingredient for 'his wisty'.... time will tell
So sorry you've not been too good, fingers crossed you soon feel much better. At a moment's notice Mr F and I can be down your way to give Mr D a break.........
June x
Cream and plum does sound a very nice combination to work with. I was going to say has Molly earnt her black belt then but if she had and was wearing it you wouldn't really see it !! Hugs MrsA.
ReplyDeleteHello Ang, so sorry to hear that you are not feeling great, hope you will get better soon. Your blog post as always has made me giggle. Love the design of this card and the colours. Take care. Bx
ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteSorry the old body decided to rebel and hope you are feeling much better, but in the meantime keep your chins up with duck tape ha ha.
Your card is beautiful and it's great to see old dies which we've bought and forgotten all about as this gives us the reminder we all need.
As for your feeble threats with the ninja's - let me tell you that apart from silence (which is impossible for me) I am an expert!
Take care, love Maureen xxx
