Good morning mon petis pois. Hope you are all ok and a happy St Georges Day!!!
Still having off days here but what's a gal to do? At least the Sun has been shining and my smalls have been wafting on the line again, getting some fresh air rather than being relegated to the tumble dryer.
Hope that you have all been enjoying John's shows. I didn't do any samples for this time Stephanie as John, quite rightly, doesn't trust me with anything inky lol!!! I don't trust me with anything inky!!!
I must say, thank you for all of the website orders.
Now, I do have a sample I did do for John last year as today's offering. Its another using the Mauritius set but this time, just the centre die as a ribbon threader...........thank goodness John has got his own threader now.
I must apologise for the look that a slug has crawled all over the front of the card. I had photographed the card before the glue had time to dry and settle and as its been long dispatched to someone for their birthday, I couldn't re-snap it.
Ingredients
Cream and sky blue card
SW Mauritius die (centre die)
John Lockwood sentiment stamp
Cream and navy satin ribbon
Pearlage
A simple card but sometimes, understated is just the job.
I thought that I would just give a Wisty update.....................
Its coming along quite nicely. You can almost see it growing as you can see a difference just from one morning to the next. Looks like plenty of flowers on the lilac one this year.
I have no worries about the Wisty with my little feline warriors...........
This is what happened when I showed them a photo of Maureen, Wendy A and June F.
That's me for today. A hospital appointment and 3 catch ups with friends lay ahead for me and I hope that this week treats you all kindly.

Lots of crafty love and gentle hugs. Jenny L.
An elegant card Ang. Looking forward to receiving my goodies - John’s shows were great with so many ideas.
ReplyDeleteMy wisterias are much the same as yours. As you say, growth these last few days is almost measurable. I saw a racime out yesterday but it was on a warm wall facing the sun in a sheltered village.
Hope you’re feeling better soon.

Hi Ang this is a stunning card I love how you have used the ribbon with the dies. I do hope you have a good week and that things go well for you. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteMorning Ang, oh I really like this card, can be used for anyone, so versatile, just the sentiment and ribbon, perfect. I am not what you would call a messy crafter as John will confirm, he laughed at me when I did a workshop with him a couple of years ago because I got out my rubber gloves, I hate having all that ink on my fingers and under my nails and knowing me I would put my inky fingers on the card and make a real mess. Didn't John do well last night, I really like his new stamps.
ReplyDeleteThe wisty is coming along nicely, when it blossoms you will the most wonderful lavender smells permeating your garden.
Take care now, your health is very important, but enjoy your day too.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xx
A lovely card Ang I’m going to have a look k through my small dies and see Aug I can create a ribbon threafibut as you say thank goodness JOHN has created a set of dies to do this
ReplyDeleteHope hospital appt goes OK and enjoy your catch ups

ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteLove the card with our without slug trails, lol.
I should think that the Wisty gang will be shaking in their boots after seeing your Ninja kittens!
Thanks for your good wishes regarding my bad leg. I'm grateful I can craft as it's been a stressful year and it's just about kept my sanity. I hope you improve on the health front.
Take care xxx

ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteUp until John and his media plates I wasn’t a messy crafter either , however , spurred on by John, your dear friend Maureen and others I’ve had a go! I’m afraid the surgical gloves do go on though!! I’m not good at keeping things unwashed either!! Your card is lovely and very innovative!! As you say easier now with the lovely ribbon threader Dies.
Sorry you haven’t been so well! Take care! Wow these kittens are scary!! Lol!
Love Myra xx
Looks like great promise for a full blown Wisty blooming season. Great anticipation. Growing up my neighbor next door had a mature wisty growing in a large tree outside my bedroom window. I loved the color of the blooms which were lilac and the intense fragrance that found my olfactory nerves. Wonderful memories.
ReplyDeleteLovely understated design Ang and beautiful colours.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of your little warriors.
Super concert yesterday, knacked today though, fab to catch up take care Kate x
This makes a fabulous masculine card Mrs D - CAS and colourwise. Hope you are feeling a wee bit better. Christine xx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang what a lovely card and a great idea, will be checking my dies to see if any of them are suitable to copy your idea.
ReplyDeleteI'm am so sorry that you are still not feeling great and therefore will postpone the planned Whisty raid until you are better also I'm not sure we want to encounter your smalls until we are properly trained.
Take care Ang and look after yourself
Wendy xx
Hi Ang
ReplyDeleteIt's Mr F's birthday today, I'm going to show him your lovely card and tell him it's his from you, then I'll gently ease him into the next photo of the ever blooming wisty, how could you tantalise him today of all days ;)then I'll show him the cute warriors so he will know what he's up against when we cement our plan of action!
Sorry to hear you've had a few bad days, this health business is a real 'pain in the pitta' enjoy your 3 catch ups with friends and, as always, take care!
June x
Hi, Ang! Your exquisitely woven ribbon card is beautifully elegant! I love your detailed layers, and the pretty colors! Thank you for visiting my blog yesterday! hugs, de
ReplyDeleteLoved your card. The ribbon threading is very creative. I am glad you showed John that he needed to add one in his collection.
ReplyDeleteThose Ninja Kitties are looking the part. No slouchers there.
I did watch all John's shows and some how didn't think any of the cards were yours but I am sure you could master those media plates if you tried.
I hope all goes well at your appointment. Then celebrate and enjoy visiting with your friends.

Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteHa ha, you do make me laugh. Smalls, wafting on the line - I have it on good authority that they would make suitable barrage balloons!!!!
Your card is a masterclass of elegant simplicity and I love it, and I hope the Hospital visit and your meet up with friends go well.
As for the Wisty raid, as Myra will confirm when we go quiet that's the time to worry. Ninja's? no problem, tuna and lamb will soon see them turn over and purr ha ha.
love Maureen xxx
Beautiful card Ang! Love the 'slug trail' of ribbon!! lol. Awww, your kitties are so darned cute, give them big hugs for me! WOW, is that lilac? So beautiful! Can't wait to see it in full bloom.
ReplyDeleteBeen keeping busy this past week doing all of the nasty spring cleaning. I love how the house looks and smells when I'm all done, but getting there is such a pain! lol. Hopefully by the time the every corner of the house looks shiny and new, the weather outside will be back to warm and sunny! In a month or so, the local nurseries will start opening and I will be choosing my first flowers for the patio. I'm super excited for that!! Hope you've had a good week my friend. Sending hugs :)
