Camper Van Clock. . . . . . . . . . .

Good morning all. Hopefully it continues to be a warm and sunny one for you all.

Its great to be finally having a Summer but my goodness, it can be stifling at night.
I can't believe that this time of year, Mr D still goes to bed in head to toe jim jams and snuggles under the duvet!!!
I am just grateful that we have a king size bed so I can keep away from the heat that he generates. I know some ladies say their man is hot stuff but mine really is lol!!!

I nearly decided to sleep in the garden the other night as it seemed the coolest place to be (and I don't mean in a "Hey dude, that's cool" kinda thing)
I could have bedded down with the tomatoes, both mutant and erotic. Stephanie, I have a clay soil too so grow my tomatoes in what we call grow bags in the UK. Most folk do grow them at home this way over here.

Now, today, I thought I should show you Andy's camper van clock that accompanied his card otherwise I would forget for another 6 months lol!!!

Ingredients
Camper Van MDF from Daisy's Jewels and Crafts
Acrylic paints
Silver Krylon Pen
Clock mechanism from a pound shop clock (don't know where I'm getting these from anymore with them closing down)
CE "Jelly Tots" for the lights.
Acetate

I am not a messy crafter so its probably not as polished as it could have been but Andy was thrilled to bits and still has it going nearly a year on, with the odd change of battery.

I had some mini easels so I painted one blue and used that as the stand for the clock.

As I said though, I will have to find another clock supplier with Poundworld going bust.

Well, what a weekend for sport. Two happy results for this house........The 3 Lions getting through to the semis and Hamilton NOT winning at Silverstone lol!!!

Well, that's me for now but as Maureen did ask nicely recently how The Girls were doing, here's a pic..............

Yes, that is Molly tapping Lily on the nose then Lily trying to lick Molly's paw.
WART and TART members, please note Molly's glistening fangs

Be good!
Ang x

  8. Amazing clock Ang. Where is Culliesocks and the rain? Wish we could have some as I’m fed up with watering. First job when home this evening. I’m glad of a cooler day in London looking after my darling granddaughters.
Loved the picture of you and the coffee cake (forwarded by Anne!).
I’m eating My tomatoes and cucumbers.

  9. You are a lady of many talents. Love this clock and I know your friend loved both his card and this wonderful clock.
I don't know about grow bags. Will have to ask around. I think this is the first year my hubby has not put out a few tomato plants but they really don't do well in my yard.
Love the kitty pix. They look so sweet but the fangs were noted.

  10. Hello Ang,
Love the clock. What about Poundland as it's a totally different shop to Poundworld.
The girls look gorgeous and no threat at all to someone with my experience, you've seen Crocodile Dundee where he goes Neeeeeeeeewwww to the water buffalo which reminds me of George ha ha, and the guard dogs. I'm very excited as we are going to see Myra and her husband this week, so she'll probably be laid up recovering from that for a while!!!
    Hope you are feeling well.
    love Maureen xx

  11. Hello Ang,
I love your clock! It’s a really great idea and one that my grandson would love! Love the colours too and the lights are super! Yes we are in Northumberland and looking forward to a visit from Maureen and her husband! I have never met this dear, long suffering soul although I have spoken to him !! Fun times ahead!
    Many thanks,
    Love Myra xx.

  12. Hi Ang, love the carriage clock!!!!!
Here I am back in sunny Hobart, well it was this morning and looking lovely shining on the snow on the mountain. Well looking at it through the window anyway. Had a wonderful holiday, now just a memory but so much has happened since my return plus I have just been told I have iron deficiency anaemia so life is a bit of a struggle at the moment. Never mind Iwill get over it.
    Hugs

  14. Molly could play a part in a horror film - eek! But they are both as adorable as can be, Ang! I'm sure they still entertain you endlessly! And your clock ~ egads, that is sensational!!! My little Henry would be over the moon with that as he is obsessed with VW campers! When you ask him what he wants to do when he grows up, he says he wants to live in the forest in a vW camper! (We're afraid that he will do exactly that, too, lol!!) Thank you for sharing and all the best tomorrow! And I hope it cools off soon!! Hugs, Darnell
