MAWTT Challenge 81. . . . . . . . .

Good morning (just!!!) crafty folk. Hope you are well.

Its time for another challenge at MAWTT for Team A and this time the theme is. . . . . . . . .

as chosen by Jodie. Hope that you can join in or at least pop across to see what we have all come up with.

I must apologise for this post being a couple of hours late as I was having a problem last night uploading photos from my memory card. My fault, leaving it until the last minute but I've had a busy few days trying to sort out my move of crafting operations across the landing, Hochanda Tuesday with Mr Lockwood and Breedon yesterday, where John has a monthly workshop to have a chat about my doing my own workshop.
Annette, owner of Crafty Corner at Breedon is kindly giving me a shot at doing a workshop in November so watch this space.

Now, back to the card. I am working with the theme in relation to Autumn colours rather than pumpkins etc..........artistic licence lol!!!

Ingredients
Cream, green and orange card.
SB Bitty Blossoms
SB Carnation Creations
Various foliage
Tonic flower punch
JND sentiment
Pearlage

I had to sadly make this card for a dear blog chum earlier this year as she lost one of her beloved sons.
As I've said before, I make sympathy cards as and when so it was sad to have to make this one.

Don't forget to have a look at MAWTT and it would be great to see some familiar names enter.

Until next time, be good.

Nordic Noel. . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope that you are well.

I have been busy again. Went to a craft show on Friday and met up with some crafty chums, so all 9 of us met up at Mr L's booth and then went of coffee and cake. Lovely to catch up.

Since then. have been shuffling rooms around.
I have finally given in to John's suggestion that I move crafting operations into the spare room rather than the box room. The spare room is actually the biggest bedroom but we sleep in the back bedroom as its quieter.
I had always resisted, thinking we need a spare room "just in case" but when John asked how many times we had anyone sleep over in 18 years, the answer was 3 lol!!!
Mr D was on board, partly as I had started to overflow into there with website stock anyway and partly as he can have his own desk again without having to move a pile of stamps out of the way.

Fortunately, the double bed fits in the box room so we still have a "just in case". We are about half way through the move as it took Mr D most of Saturday just to go through one medium box of his crap stuff as he had to examine everything in minute detail and started reading one of the books he found!!! Attention span of a gnat!!!

Anyhoo, back to the matter in hand. Continuing with John's show samples, I decided to break out a sheet of my precious First Edition papers and create this nordic looking 8x8.

Ingredients
White, black, green and red card
First Edition Christmas Wishes 8x8 paper
JND Snowflower Cut and Emboss folder
JND Deer Scene deer die
Crafts Too sentiment
Red bling

I cut one of the loose deers from the set 4 times for the centre.

I will post a picture of the craft show purchases when I have a space to put them out to be photographed lol!!!

The tooth is not feeling better and wakes me up at 4am so I have to get up and take paracetemol. I think that I must start having a grind (steady!!!!!) at that time and that sets it off, as does chewing on it so I guess that I am going to have to bite the bullet (pun fully intended) and go back. My dentist is currently sunning himself in California so hope I can get in with someone else.

Well, I'm scheduling so its time for bed now Zebedee (showing my age lol!!!)

Hope that this week treats you all kindly.

Ps......Maureen , I may get things out quickly, but they get put back swiftly too in this weather!!!

Matching Card. . . . . . . . .

Good morning chaps and chapesses, are you well?

Had another busy few days at The Pond with John's new release sending the website into overdrive so lots of packing and trips to the Post Office.
Another trip to the dentist too for a replacement filling and my tooth has been giving me more jip since I had that than when the filling fell out!!!
I have any work done without anaesthetic as anything ending in Caine (excluding Michael) can trigger the A/Fib so there does tend to be a bit of tenderness. I'm hoping it settles as my dentist is now on his jollies in California for 3 weeks!!!

Now, today we have the card that was sitting in the shaker box from the last post.

Ingredients
White and aqua card
Silver mirror card
JND Woodland Scene Cut and Emboss folder
JND Snowflake Circle embossing folder
CE Falling Snow embossing folder
JND Sentiment
Cosmic Shimmer Powder Blue gilding polish
Bling

I think you can see the sheen from the polish on this last pic.

Thank you for kind comments on my shaker box. Just thought it was something a bit different.

Maureen, I am sure that George used to be cheerful and vibrant and then he got married hahaha!!!
Myra, thank you for the glowing website review. I think the first person had their folder bundle from me at just gone 9am on Tuesday morning.........I like to get things out quickly.

Well, today I am meeting up with my friend Andy (he who likes campervans) as its his birthday this week, for morning coffee then I'm meeting Davey (the hairy Judith Chalmers) for lunch has he has not long returned from Chile and Easter Island.............I told you he gets around lol!!!
We may venture to Chiquitos. I just hope that he doesn't get his maracas out again.

On that note, be good and.....

Shaker Box. . . . . . . .

Good morning all. Hope that you are all fine and fabulous.

A quick post from me today as been a busy weekend with workshops, website and a Grand Prix.

Hope that you managed to catch John's shows last night. I would be surprised if there is anything left today lol!!!

Now, today's creation is one of the samples made for the current shows and it's actually a shaker box. Just thought I would be different as usual lol!!!

Ingredients
White, aqua and silver mirror card
JND Woodland Scene Cut and Emboss folder
JND Snowflake Circle embossing folder
JND Winters Child sentiment
CE Falling Snow embossing folder
Blue seed beads
CS white PVA Pearls
3mm gems
Acetate

The beads are sandwiched between two sheets of acetate so that the shaker bit is confined to the box lid but you can see through to the card and sentiment inside.
I will show the card on the next blog post.

Enjoy the shows and the week ahead.

Lantern Window. . . . . . . .

Good morning all. Hope you are all ticketyboo.

Its been a busy old week with helping John, hospital appointment, dentist, more samples for John and I did manage to squeeze in a lunch with a friend.
Tomorrow is another Coventry workshop with John (if any one fancies coming along, please let me know) and then Sunday, I shall put my feet up and watch the Singapore GP...............and John on Hochanda, of course lol!!!

Its handy having a smart TV now as when Hochanda disappears off Freeview at 7pm, the TV automatically connects to the internet and I can carry on watching rather than having to use the laptop or tablet and the buffering. If only it would do the vacuuming and washing, it would be very smart.

Jayne, glad to hear the knee op is out of the way. Hope that the recovery is swift and with minimal pain.
Stephanie, hope that the hurricanes have not caused any problems for you or your family.

Now, back to the card. When I was playing with John's Small Lantern (that is not a euphemism for anything lol!!!) I thought it looked a little like a bay window......my head works in mysterious ways. I decided on a Christmas theme.

Ingredients
White, platinum, red and green card
JND Small Lantern dies
Daisy's Jewels and Crafts Brick Wall stencil
Bling on a string from my website
"Snow"

Its definitely a hand over in person card for those who don't want the extra postage cost.

First sight of condensation in the windows yesterday morning so I guess chilly times are on their way. I can get a touch of Raynauds in Summer if I'm ferreting in the freezer so I guess its time to dig out the woolly socks and mittens

Now as mittens rhymes with kittens (a tenuous link) its time to wish Lily and Molly "Happy Birthday" today as they celebrate their first birthday...........hip hip hooray!!!
So in their honour, some kitty pics to sign off with.

                                                          Love you Girlies.

Have a great weekend all.

Merry Christmas in Black and Gold. . . . . . . . . .

Good morning mon petit champignons. Hope all is well in your worlds.

Thank goodness its warmed up a bit. Mr D's finger has been hovering over the central heating "on" button but I have managed to distract him with cake so far.
The Girls are coming in earlier at night now too and snuggling up on their fleecy bed.
Really don't like the thought of the cold days to come as, due to the heart thingy, I get a touch of Raynauds which can be painful..............imagine if Flash suffered from white extremities (well, whiter than usual), it may put him off exposing them.
Sadly Maureen, the only large doubles I can have of an evening are hot lemons. I never was a big drinker, maybe a sex on the beach on my birthday, but not allowed now........or the cocktail lol!!!
I think I was born to live somewhere far more tropical.

Anyhoo, another Christmas sample for John today.
Quick and easy but I like it.

Ingredients
Cream, black and gold shimmer card
Gold and black mirror card
JND Snowflakes die
JND Festive Greetings
Crafts Too Merry Christmas embossing  folder
Circle dies
Pearlage

I love embossing folders but they sadly seem to have fallen out of favour but they can bring such lovely texture to a card.

Maria, hope that you have a lovely break and happy anniversary.
June, I totally agree about John's new packaging. I had asked him if he could get rid of the bulky plastic as it would help with my postage costs for the website lol!!! Also, there's many a time I have actually cut my hand on the plastic stuff. Good luck with the wedding bits.
Barbara, I'm very impressed that you have made all of your Christmas cards already. Mind you, as John kindly returns my samples to me, I have got quite a head start myself lol!!! I'm equally impressed with Stephanie's friend.
Myra, don't worry chuck, you can use Maureen's inflated bloomers as a buoyancy aid.

That's me for now as have a busy day ahead today.

Hope that this week is kind to you all.

Snowflake Fest. . . . . . . . .

Good morning folks. Hope all is well.

Had various bits and bobs going on here and a busy week seems to be lined up for next week too. Still, keeps me off the streets.

Hello to Jane, who has kindly clicked follow.........Welcome to The Pond.

Thank you for your kind comments on my last card. Sometimes, quick and easy is the order of the day.

Now, the last card was the waste and here is the card the cut out snowflakes were used for.
There are snowflakes everywhere on this one.

Ingredients
Aqua card
Silver mirror card
JND Snowflake Edges dies
JND Snowflakes die
JND Festive Sentiments die (inside)
Papermania Snowflakes embossing folder
Krylon Silver pen
3mm gems

There are a couple of Edges and Sentiment dies left on my website if you haven't already got yours.

Well Mrs A, I'm hoping that Flash will not be baring any more flesh any time soon but he did go out to his wheely bin last week bare chested (very uncouth) but I suppose we have to be grateful it wasn't Mrs Flash doing that. She has a rather ample frontage and on occasion, has been witnessed in the street without appropriate support, which looks like 2 kids fighting under a blanket.
Barbara, not sure that Mr D would share the idea of The Girls being worth the wallpaper and curtains lol!!! Bet you don't get this bother with Lulu.
I should point out, we haven't had the minxes for a year for those of you who think you have been in a time vortex. They are one next week but we got them at 4 months old.

Well that's me for now. Time to have my hot lemon and plug in the big slipper (oh, how the long Winter nights will fly by).

Have a fab weekend and don't forget to watch John on Sunday at 12 and 3.

Snowflake Waste. . . . . . . . . .

Good morning folks, hope you're all well.

My goodness, the weather has changed. The thicker duvet made a guest appearance for a few nights but we are back to the Summer one again now. The nights are drawing in too so that means Autumn is on the way and woolly socks, hot chocolate and Chr........., ooooooh I nearly said it lol!!!

Now, on a festive note, this is another of the samples I made for John's last shows but I think I saw it lurking at the back of the set.

I had cut the snowflakes out for another card and thought the waste looked pretty good and so this card was born.

Ingredients
White and blue card
Silver mirror card
JND Snowflakes die
Pearlage

Very simple card so would be great for festive batch making and also great if you have some DL envelopes to get rid of lol!!!

Well, time for my hot lemon and half the chemist's stock (I swear I rattle if you shake me lol!!!) before bed (i'm scheduling).
But not before saying, I hope that June S had a lovely birthday, June F is feeling better and that was lovely reminiscing from Maureen

But before I go, a couple of Kitty pics for you to coochy coo over. I can't believe that they are one next week. Its hard to remember a time when they weren't here..........and we had wallpaper and curtains lol!!!

Sooooooooo cute!!!

Have a great week.
