Golden Bee Balm. . . . . . . . .

Good morning campers................Hi De Hi !!!

Sorry for the gap again. I really don't know where the time goes these days............doesn't seem 5 minutes since January.
Managed to get my blood test sorted this time. Mr D did eye me with suspicion when I got in the car, until I waved the form at him.
Also had a hygienist visit at the dentist so my fangs have been flossed and buffed within an inch of their lives.
The Christmas Fair was ok but could have been better, You can't win em all.

There was also the joy of erecting the Christmas tree. I haven't had it up for the past couple of years (easy tigers!!!) with all the health issues so I was determined to have it this year................especially after buying a trees worth of new decorations in January in the sales. Had to buy some new lights for it yesterday but did get a bargain. Got 2 sets for £13.00 that had been £20 per set.
It was with trepidation though as it would be Lily and Molly's first experience with a Christmas tree. I put the tree up whilst they were having a trot about outside. When they came back it, I was braced for trouble but they just tootled in, had a bit of a sniff, then walked off.
I think it was lulling us into a false sense of security as there has been a wee bit of bauble batting and branch chewing since.

Now, enough of frivolities and back to the card. I am back in John's Bee Balm period.

Ingredients
Ivory card
Gold mirror card
JND Bee Balm Frame and Tag
JND Bee Balm Swirl Leaves
JND Anniversary stamps
Bow die (Magazine freebie)
Pearlage

A bit decadent but a 50th anniversary is worthy of a bit of decadence.

June S. Hope Mr S had a very Happy Birthday and no permission required if you want to recreate any of my designs.
Bridget, I hope that you are feeling better. I have a bit of a handbag fettish collection as well as shoes, particularly Kickers so I have a colour for every occasion lol!!!
Stephanie, I am also partial to the odd pair of trainers too, and still coordinate my handbag.........is that sad lol???

Anyhoo, better get back to my desk as I still have a tonne of cards to make for Christmas. Thankfully, I have gotten the overseas ones on their way but still have a few to get done for this part of the World.

Hope you are all nearly sorted for the festivities.

TTFN
Ang x

Ps........yes, John has moved but is having problems with sorting the internet.

  1. Morning Ang, stunning, absolutely beautiful, decadence personified, love it.

So pleased all went well at the dentist and you can now smile those pearly whites at us.

Just beware if you hear lots of falling about you know the pussies have been at the tree looking for their present ha ha.

So pleased that John and Sam have moved at last, they must be over the moon, such a lovely couple.

Yes Mr S birthday was a great success and we had a lovely family lunch together.

We had our craft club Christmas lunch yesterday, it was fantastic, lots of laughter and fun and yes secret Santa visited everyone of us too, wasn't that nice (we had been good all year and bought lots of craft goodies to play with).

Having a smart meter fitted today so best get myself in gear, although I can't do much except keep out of the way.

Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx

  6. Lovely card Ang,
Sorry I haven't been in touch for ages. Knee operation done after 10 months of waiting and back at work now. Have gone part-time though and loving it! Working mornings and crafting afternoons. Yay! xx

  7. Hello Ang,
Beautiful card today. I hope the kittens are still respecting your tree but they may decide to climb it to investigate so don't get lulled into a false sense of security.
Glad you've finally had your bloods taken, Dracula was running short, but how wise of Mr D to check that you had the necessary papers!
I really must get my eyes tested again, I misread Kickers and wondered what they had to do with shoes, silly me ha ha.
    love Maureen xx

  10. What a luxurious, glamorous card treating us today. I, too, love John's bee-balm period and also the daisy period. I am ready for summer again as all its done here is rain or sleet/snow or both. We are not getting out of the 40's today with rain and I have errands to run and am not feeling it.
I do hope your tree makes it but since the kitties do go out, they may get enough tree climbing outside and just bat a few low-hanging baubles. Best to keep the treasured ones up high. I need to decorate our tree. Hubby put it up but I have not done my bit. I have wrapping to do also. My old dog is not interested in anything he can't eat so my tree is not in danger.
I hope everyone here has a wonderful weekend....maybe a bit of sun?

That card is just one load of ducks. I have been receiving them each day for the past week by the ducket load. Don't suppose you could take a few ducks for me could you. I'm farming em out as fast as I can!! Hugs Mrs A.

  14. Hi Ang, what a stunning creation, and yes 50 Years is worth showing off with something decadent. I am feeling better thank you. Hope the tree is ok? When ours were kittens, they used to climb in the tree, which was a bit of a nightmare. I also have cards to get finished and off by Friday, hopefully will get there. Take care all. Bx
