Good morning my little chickadees. Hope you are all chicking well.
Busy time here at The Pond. I have a couple of craft fairs coming up so have been maniacally making teacup candles and stencilling more bags...........if I see another unicorn I will scream lol!!!
Also met up with Davey for a Christmas flavoured coffee at Costa, then took him for his first foray into Aldi.
He is usually a Tesco boy but has recently discovered the delights of the continental opposition with a visit to Lidl. I have always been enticed by the sight of a firm chorizo myself.
I have re-arranged the blood test for Monday as Mr D is off again. I have put the form in the car already as I dare not go without it again. I couldn't put it in my handbag as I'm daft enough to coordinate my handbag with my clothes lol!!!
Now, once again I have been exploring my annals (have to be careful with the auto correct on that one - ahem!!!) and there are more of Mr L's samples waiting for their day in the spotlight, so here is another.
Ingredients
Black and antique gold card
JND Gerbera Panel die
JND Ribbon Threader die
Crafts Too Fancy Lattice embossing folder
JND sentiment
Hougie for scorelines
Black satin ribbon
Gold pearlage
Black bling
I always sneak a black and gold sample into John's box. I just love the combo.
For this one, I cut cut the ribbon die out of a strip of card, then put it through the embossing folder. I then threaded the ribbon through. I cut the Gerbera Panel twice and snipped the flowers away from the panel. I then glued these behind the embossed strip.
Just added the score lines for a bit of interest.
Well, wish me luck for today's craft fair. Hopefully, there will be a few folk looking for extra Christmas pressies. Hoping to get the Christmas Tree up this weekend so wish me luck with that too with two kitties that will never have seen one before and with the new glass baubles I bought in the January sales.................................how long do you reckon it will take them to knock it over or break something lol???
Have a happy Friday and a great weekend.

Morning Ang, oh this is absolutely gorgeous, love it, I think I will (with your permission) have to have a go at this one, it really is superb.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that we are all so busy at this time of the year, so much preparation, visiting friends and family, I still have some more cards to make for posting.
It is hubbies 70th birthday tomorrow so going out for a family meal at lunchtime, looking forward to that.
Hope the craft fair goes well, I am sure you will sell loads.
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
Now you have to be very careful exploring your annals Ang.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. Xxx
Love the colour combo. Good luck with the fair. The kitties will love the tree lol. Mollie one of ours liked to sleep in it when she was younger. I still often find stray bauble when I come down in the morning .. take care xx
ReplyDeleteLove your design and the colour choice. Good luck with the craft fair. I’m sure your tree will be fine.
ReplyDeletePresumably John as moved as no blog for several days? Hope all went well for him.

ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteI hope you've had a great fair day!!
I didn't think you were old enough to colour co-ordinate your handbag, it's so old fashioned darling, that's why I still do it and, dare I say, when I wear gloves they have to match my shoes as well!!
Love today's card, it is very elegant.
The kittens will love your Christmas Tree and I have no doubt will have a great time playing with the baubles lol.
love Maureen x
P.s. sorry June, I meant to say Happy Birthday to Mr S. xx
ReplyDeleteYour black and gold card is really gorgeous and elegant, Ang! I wanted to say that before I forget, lol! Good luck with the blood test - don't change cars! And good luck with the tree and baubles with those sweet furballs checking it out! I hope you had a fun and successful craft fair!! 🎄Happy Holiday Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs D,Just catching up as I am looking after a friend with dementia and it is hard going.Anyway the card is quite simply stunning and love the colour scheme.I hope the fair goes well I am sure it will.As to how long the baubles will last, depends on how long Lily can refrain from climbing the tree,I speak from experience, but they will love it.Hope all goes well at hospital.Take care, stay well.Lots of Love Barbara D xxx
ReplyDeleteMorning Ang,

Very classy, Ang. I love the colour combination.
ReplyDeleteAnne (Northampton)
This ia gorgeous Ang. I hope the craft fair went well
ReplyDeleteThis card is perfect. I love black and gold too and what a pretty example to show them off.
ReplyDeleteI am sure those two furry angels would love to decorate the tree for you. I am anxious to hear about their reaction. My sister is wondering if her puppy will bother the tree....its possible. My old dog doesn't go in the living room and he wouldn't care about the tree unless I hung dog treats on it.
Hope you sell all your goodies at the fair.
Stephanie K
PS.Maureen, I do admire a woman who takes the time to coordinate her shoes and bag but now that I'm retired I find everything goes with my sneakers.

Hi Ang, such a beautiful card and in one of my favourite colour combinations too. Our cats are too old to bother with the tree now, which is a good thing, as most of our baubles are handmade glass. Hope the Christmas fair went well, and the blood tests. I am struggling with a flu virus, so don't feel very motivated at present. I must say I am impressed that you co-ordinate handbags with outfits. I just find one big enough and then use it until it wears out. Take care all. Bx
