Good morning Duckadees. Hope you're as happy and as healthy as possible.
Thank you for your comments on my DT cards. I was pleased with them as they looked how I wanted them to (sometimes, no matter how I plan em, they just don't look how I imagined)
Now, I wasn't going to post again until tomorrow and it was going to be another card but look what arrived yesterday afternoon. . . . . . . . . . . The Bevelled Glass Striplet !!!
Had to play when I got back from the charity shop and this is what I came up with.
It was only a quickie but I like how its turned out. I may add some beaded pins into the bow (couldn't find the bloomin things yesterday)
I have to say, I still do prefer my beloved Embroidered Striplet but I can see many possibilities for its sister.
However, I must warn you, the edge of mine is particularly sharp and actually cut my finger so please be careful when you get yours out of the packet.

I took the photo in the Sun to try and pick up the sparkle from this beautiful paper and I think you can just make out a twinkle or two. I have a fettish for these gorgeous pads.
Anyhoo, hope you all have fun with your new Sue purchases. Patricia has already posted a cracking Christmas card using the other new striplet.

Wendy, I will keep an eye on The Boy for you when he gets over here.
Lastly, is anyone going to Stoneleigh Park in August to the Hunkydory Craft Show? Myself and Christine (and possibly John) may be going so the more the merrier.
Right, must scoot now.
Be good.

Good morning Ang. Oh you are lucky having time to play!!! This die is gorgeous and you have made a stunning card with it. Not so good it's so sharp? At least we were only looking for the sparkle on your paper and not "spot the blood spot". I can see from my sisters comment we might be doing a trip next year around this time - sounds good. Hazel xx

My goodness you got that quick! (Quicker than hatching a duckling too). LOL.
ReplyDeleteHello Ang, beautiful card, lovely new die, and your colour theme is so lovely, your bow is wonderful too. Hugs Kate x
ReplyDeleteA stunning beauty - like it even better than your HOC card! Its a real eye-candy!
ReplyDeleteI have my eye on this Striplet because it's not too feminine and I can see it being versatile for lots of occasions - weddings Christmas because it reminds me of a stained glass window
ReplyDeleteHi Ang. I am a Embroidered Striplet fan too but this is a good sister I love what you have done with this die. The card is beautiful. I think it will be the first that I get when I have saved enough : ) Thanks, we had a lovely break, had a fix of Hound Tor and the silence to last me till the next time: ) Take care.
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, glad you posted early and thank you for the advice as I have ordered this striplet from Joanna Sheen/ I had hoped it would come today but heres hoping it is going to come in the morning before I go. I thought it would be useful for men cards and stained glass Christmassy ones as well. Was thinking about the show but I went to so many last year I decided I wouldn't this year. Perhaps 2015. Bye for now best wishes Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi Ang
ReplyDeleteI love how you've made a background out of this die! A fabulous card! I've ordered it too (along with the heart one) and they arrived today! I'm off for the evening into my little craft room in the garage. Thanks for the warning about the sharpness.

Hi Ang, haven't been able to comment for a few days as my son was visiting and he has to sleep in my craft room (well it was his bedroom originally). Have looked back at your cards and they are all lovely. The sparkle paper that you have used today is lovely. I can see you having hours of fun with this die, I do think SW dies are great. Have a good weekend. Janice xx
