Good morning Duckadees. Hope you have all had a splendid weekend. A great win for Lewis in the GP but really wish it had been Jenson Baby.
Firstly, welcome to The Pond to Mary Ellen. I have only just seen your name as a follower so will have to see if you too have a blog. Thanks for popping by and hope you will visit again soon.
Next, I have to say Janice, please don't age me prematurely lol. . . . . thanks for your best wishes for my 50th but its a good while off yet, which is why Mr D has time to save up!
And, Lesley, you need to start a blog with your cards chuck. For those who haven't seen it, pop over to John's blog to see a wonderful card, by Lesley, in John's gallery.
Now, today's card was made for a friend of ours who loves fishing. I'm usually not keen on doing blokes cards but I quite liked doing this one. Simple but hopefully stylish.

Good morning Ang. Love your card and great for a fisherman, but your layout would work with other images. I will be thinking of you today. Head up and just think positive thoughts that it was a one off thing to happen to you. Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteMorning Ang,
ReplyDeleteGreat card for a fisherman, love the simple layout, very stylish. Yes a great win for Lewis, but I'm a fan of Jenson too so would have liked him to get on the podium.

Good morning Ang, love your card, just shows how a simple topper can be made into a work of art. Good win for Lewis yes but would have liked it to be Jenson as well. Didn't go much on the delay though the accident was "spectacular",[can say this as no one was badly hurt] but it did mean I missed the first two sets of the tennis! As you can imagine I have been sitting watching a lot of TV this past few days. Off to keep fit now so hopefully it will do some good. Best wishes Jackie
ReplyDeleteAwe, Mrs. Duck, thank you so much for your lifting comments. I don't think I could sustain a daily blog, though I could try, but I have a lot of dies, stamps etc. that I no longer know the name of, which would frustrate any visitors.
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh when I read Janice had wished you happy 50th lol! Bet that made your day!!! I hated it when I went 50, tell you what thought your memory goes once you past that milestone! Now what was I going to do... Oh yes, brilliant card my Lady, love the image, yes Female cards are a lot easier to make over Men's.
Have a nice day
Love & Hugs

Sorry Ang to have aged you prematurely!! The card is really nice, my hubby is a fisherman (which I quite like because when he's off fishing I can go to the craft room for the day). It's hard to do cards for men...but then we all say that don't we? Maybe its because we like to add flowers and gems to the cards that we make. Have a good day. Janice xx
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Ang, peaceful and serene!
ReplyDeleteHello Ang, I love your card, the colour theme is perfect and so is the image, makes a fab male card.
ReplyDeletePleased you had some chill out time, Work will be fine, fortunately folk like the two nasties are in the minority, hugs Kate x
Hi Ang. I'm having a horrible time commenting today. My Kindle does not want to cooperate. Might have something to do with the user working it! Lovely card. Have a great week.

Lovely card I have one of the matting basics die set & often think about getting its partner What size border do you achieve by using one die from each set? I hope work went ok And yes, Jensen Button can park his slippers under my bed anytime (whoops! Did I say that out loud!)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and so very elegant - the males would love this scene - it looks like a watercolour landscape!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a happier time at work - nastiness from other staff or customers is really unpleasant, have been there and had it done to me too! Anyways nearly the weekend - hopefully some time for you to play with your stash Karen x
