Thank you for your comments on my disasterpiece on Friday. You should all be members of the diplomatic core hahaha!!! Have to confess, I actually sent that green delight to my sister 2 years ago. Perhaps that's why we don't talk much these days lol!!!
Mrs B, love your new badger avatar and decided to click on it. . . . . . . .we share the same taste in music. . . . .Queen, Meatloaf and Phil. Have been lucky to see them all (Queen at Wembley before dear Freddie passed) but Meat is my man. Have seen him about a dozen times and shed a tear last year at his last UK tour. . . . . . sad, I know but there was Not a Dry Eye in the House. . . . pun totally intended.
Hope Patricia and Hazel are behaving in the presence of the Crafting Guru Sue Wilson, in Aberdeen. Remember ladies, its not appropriate to throw your underwear on this occasion (clean or otherwise!!!)
Ita, what do you know that I don't. . . . . . . . . . .is there a new Striplet??? Can I forsake my beloved??? Oh, the worry!!!**
Will be back tomorrow folks with House of Cards, same Bat time, same Bat channel.
Meantime, play nicely.

** Further development since scheduling this post, email received from Joanna Sheen, website visited and Bevelled Glass Striplet purchased. My heart will always belong to The Embroidered Striplet but hopefully its sister will compliment it.
I'm weak, what can I say ???
Morning Ang,
ReplyDeleteLove your card, great use of the striplet. You'll love Sue blog today. Another to buy.

Love it Ang, looks great.
ReplyDeleteFab bargain from work too.
I,m a big Queen fan, used to go to the Conventions every year with my sister and went to Freddies Tribute at Wembley. xxx
Fab card and luv how you have put it all together it works so well xx luv Queen myself snd was gutted when our Sky box broke that I had the Wembley concert recorded on and lost it - he still has the most unique voice in my opinion with the notes he used to reach and it shows even more when people sing his songs and can't quite manage the range he did xx sorry that pun wasn't intended xx enjoy the rest of your weekend xx GailT xx
ReplyDeleteGood morning Ang, and a lovely card showing the striplet at its best. All these new dies coming out though looking at the two new strips on Joanna Sheen still think this one is the best. Haven't quite decided on the new die sets need time to have a closer look, particularly to check the size as some of the first ones are a little large for me. Sue Wilson is now doing a monthly article in Simply Cards and Papercraft as I found when my copy arrived yesterday. The first one features the first new die she showed this last week. Miserable day here and the next village have their street fayre today, so disappointing. Hope the Scottish lassies are behaving themselves. Bye for now Jackie
ReplyDeleteI commented this morning but I had a problem with my blog (obviously didn't like being kick started after being ignored for a couple of weeks) so I had to get John on the case and now have to re-visit all the blogs. I love WOW. I'm glad you are still using your striplet - hope it doesn't feel that it's nose will be pushed out of joint when the Young Pretender arrives on the scene!! Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeletePS Just found the job for you - www.britishcraftnetwork.tv - a new internet crafting station uninterrupted demonstrations they say starting 1st October, there is a box to click on to take part.

What about the attached hearts striplet? Sorry, not quite sure of the title. Trouble is, I want them all really. Fab card, I've just done a white on white one for my DD's birthday. I might enter that.
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, it's a gorgoeus card, love the white on white, always so elegant, super design with your dies, hugs Kate x

ReplyDeleteHi Ang!
ReplyDeleteThe use of tose different textures gives your card much elegance (as does the striplet). We all seem to have that weakness for beautiful crafty items. Gorgeous card Ang. Have a great day.
Donna

Oh yes Ang we were good girls! Love your white on white card, it's stunning.
ReplyDeleteHazel xx
Hi Ang. Love this white on white beauty:) I don't believe we should waste our lives regretting things but I do have one, and that was that I never got to see Freddie sing live. He had a unique voice that will never be beaten and those that try often make me cringe. Sue has done it again with her fab dies, is this the start of Striplet wars? Take care.
ReplyDeleteThe new Striplets especially the beveled glass one is stunning but then all of Sue's dies are I live your card and can see where you've used pinking shears bu how have you got the cutting edge on only one side of the Striplet? It makes for a stunning effect
ReplyDeleteI think I've got it! After looking at the card again and small brain kicking in for a change One edge is straight cut but because of the pattern it looks like a fancy cut edge Is that right?
DeleteI have been wondering where you got that striplet from lol! Love this - it is so elegant yet has great texture - very clever crafting Karen xx
