Good morning everyone. Well, how bad is this when the photos of new stash from the NEC have to spread onto two photographs lol!!!
At this point, I should say that the white substance in the bag on the second photo, is glitter. . . . . . . . honestly Officer!!!
The silver and copper Krylon's are as fab as the gold (see you at next weeks addiction meeting Pamellia lol!!!)
Another fabulous day, even though I was sniffing and sneezing through it. Christine and I met at lunch time for a schnack, a cup of tea (thanks Mrs H for my cuppa) and a natter.
A good selection of stalls, although I did note a couple of my usual ones were not there. . . . . . . I had taken my last years Crafty Bob bag (he was not there this time) and wish I had a pound for everyone who asked me where he was.
What I didn't take a pic of was the waxed chive and onion cheese truckle and jar of blackberry chutney I bought for Mr D as a thank you (he kindly gave me some pennies to take as my Christmas pressie) I also got myself a hot chilli cheese truckle. . .yum, yum!
We stayed to the end then headed for the Harvester up the road to meet the Scottish Posse (Hazel, Kate and Patricia) and a special guest appearance from. . . . . . . drum roll. . . . . . NESTA!!!
Bless her, the windows on the bus were steamed up and she got off at the wrong stop so I nearly had to send the St Bernard with the brandy.
What a fantastic evening we had. The same waitress from last year was there but swiftly handed us over to a colleague (can't blame her, she's probably still in therapy after last year lol!!!) and once again we were seated at the back, away from the quiet folk.
Lovely meal (especially with an email voucher for free starters/desserts, hurrah!!!). wonderful company and lots and lots and lots of hilarity.
The evening was over all too soon and can't believe we have to wait another year to meet up, wherever it may be next time. Mind you, the sight of Patricia trying to get out of the back of my car will stay with me for a while lol!!!
Sheila, wished I knew you were going on the Thursday as we could have said hello.
Norah, have I caught a gist from a comment I saw on Sue's blog, you're going to be a Grandma? If so, mega congrats, if not, I should've gone to Specsavers lol!!!
Well, that's me for today. Just to say, I have done the photos for the fuchsia tutorial and I shall try and get it on the blog this week (there are about 14 photos to accompany my waffle so you may need a strong coffee and matchsticks to get through it hahaha!!!)
I shall be at work today but hope you have a nice restful day.

Oh Ang, when I saw those Krylon pens, I just burst out laughing! I'm very curious to see the copper in action. That Northern Pines stamp set looks amazing, I have never heard of this brand before.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a wonderful lunch with Nesta, sad to have to wait a year, but then, absence vs heart and all that, right?
Hope you are enjoying your weekend, big hugs :)
Ang, I thought you said you didn't buy much at the show when we all meet up for another fantastic evening. Like Patricia it was lovely to meet Nesta, Now Patricia wants you to do a tutorial of how to get out of your car, I don't think it should be that I think we could have made a fortune if one of us had videoed it and put it on you tube !!! Any one watching would have thought we had been at the wine and not diet coke! Thank you also for my gift of your fabulous chocolate, it's yummy - recipe PLEASE. Hope you haven't had to work to hard. Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, lots of lovely goodies there, I looked for the pens and didn't see them, I would have been brain dead by then mind you.
ReplyDeleteAlistair said to say that your gorgeous peanut fudge is just the most wonderful thing he has ever eaten, and would love to have more, he's always been a greedy sod. But seriously I managed to have a wee bit of it and I have to agree with him.
It was so lovely to meet up with everyone on Thurdsay evening and the added bonus meeting Nesta, what a lovely lady she is, it was a fab night and had to end too soon. Here's to next year, hugs Kate x
Well, I say, Ang, if you're going to go, you might as well go all the way, so I'm very proud of you for your mega shopping!! The best part, of course, is meeting up and hilaritizing with other crafty dear friends! These NEC shows seem very popular. I'm thinking when I plan my trip to Europe, I should plan around one of these in order to meet up with the most of my friends in one place, eh? Wish I could have been there for this one!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeletewhat a super stash bought from the NEC.
Looks very inviting, and interesting too, especially the inks.
Can't wait to see what you create with it all.
Now it's very funny, because I heard a big rumble ob Thursday night, and thought they are up to no good laughing at the Harvester.
I bet you all stomach ache from so much laughing.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Ah I can see I am not the only one who knows how to spend money. Of course only on essentials. Sounds like a good time was had by all.

Hi Ang I just love reading your blog, and all the lovely Ladies comments.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing your shopping photos. You all seem to have a great meal, lots of chatting, and a few drinks I hope.
I would love to go N.E.C. and if possible join your group,as I would be on my own.
I know you will have to discuss this with other members, and get security cleared,by M.I.5 and the F.B.I.etc.,
One thing that might go against me is I like a few drinks on a night out.Lol.
Help needed,Ang and follows,do any of you knit?? It is 40 years since I did knit anything I want to make some things for my little grand daughter,so help needed.
Ang apologies for the length of this comment.I am off to the bold corner
