Happy 3 days after Christmas everyone! Hope that you are all well and had a wonderful Christmas.
Well, after getting more intimate with a turkey than a vet would've been, creating the EEC washing up mountain (thank goodness for dishwashers. . . . .no, not Mr D) and snacking on all manner of rubbish, the bank balance has gone down and the waist measurement has gone up!!!
Thank you for your wonderful festive comments and I hope those of you enduring the snow and the seriously minus temperature figures, stay safe and warm indoors, cuddled up to your Grand Caliburs.
Now, today's card is Nesta's card from us. As you can see, I got quite taken with the banner greeting lol!
Nesta loves her flowers and has some spectacular specimen hollies which is why I went with this design,
Ingredients
Cream base card (8x8)
Gold mirror card
Soft gold card (Lime Tree)
Ruby red card (PMD)
Dark green card (PMD)
Marianne poinsettias
Cheery Lynn Holly Flourish
Sue Wilson Snowflake embossing folder
Versamark
Burgundy mica powder (sentiment)
Anitas 3D Gloss (on holly leaves)
Pearls coloured with gold Krylon
Red bling berries
You can just about pick up the glossy leaves. Never used this product before but its very good and quite cheap too.
Well, Nesta was very happy so that's good for me.
Before I waddle off (not just the duck connection, its the way I actually move after the excesses of the festivities hahaha!!!) I just wanted to put a shout out for a couple of the gals who have been MIA in case they are managing to paddle but not comment.
Jackie D, have you found a new home yet? Hope all is well with you and your Mum. Norah, I'm not sure what has happened chuck but I know you're missed over at Sue's too.
I know that there are lots of you that do come for a paddle (well, from what I can tell from my stats) and perhaps don't have time to comment but I appreciate you taking the time to look.
And for those who leave comments, I thank you from the heart of my bottom for your encouragement and making me smile.
Enjoy the last few days of 2014.

Ps. . . . . Karen has kindly said I can show her lovely card so I will get it photographed and on in the New Year as I have a DT card for HoC that is due next.
Hi Ang. What a lucky lady Nesta is getting this beautiful card. I love it, how do you manage to get the banner layers so even and neat? I really struggle with them, such a shame as I love the look! Have a good day. Take care.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Ang, from a very frosty North, oh I am so glad I don't have to go out, as it would take an age to defrost the car. I just love your card for Nesta is stunning. Have a good day, Hazel x
ReplyDeleteGood morning Ang, love love, love Nesta's stunning card. Absolutely beautiful, that's a really pretty Holly Die.
ReplyDeleteAcross the river from Hazel and our weather is the same.........blooming freezing!!!
Certainly NOT paddling today might have a go at skating though.
Have a great day

Morning Ang,
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card, this is the type of card I like to make. We don't have snow but it's been blowing a gale all night, bet it's caused a lot of damage.

I've come to the edge of the pond, but it's too cold to paddle. Lovely card though.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card-love everything about it. It's very frosty here but the sun is out, may have a walk down to the beach after lunch as iit's high tide around 1.30pm. Went on Boxing Day & the beach was really busy, must have been everyone walking off their christmas dinner!!

Hi Ang
ReplyDeleteI love all your cards and blog comments, don't normally comment as I always seem to have problems, same as on John next door's blog.
Love Nancy
I live your card to Nesta and how you've described how we all feel at the mo The Thank Crunch it's Friday was a huge huge success A couple of my friends cannot tolerate wheat so the fact it doesn't contain flour meant they could tuck in too Just finished a Salsa weekender so I hope that's got rid of a few calories! More dancing this afternoon too Look forward to all your posts Take care everyone
ReplyDeleteOh wow, just fabulous Ang! I have just added that embossing folder to my wish list...I shall blame you when I am broke!! The poinsettias are beautiful, what an amazing card, but then, all your cards are amazing!! Missed you!! big new years hugs :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Ang, I do like poinsettias. I don't always have time to post a comment but do enjoy reading your blog and seeing your cards. Thank you for taking the time to show us your cards and for the inspiration. x
ReplyDeleteI do enjoy your designs. They are so inspirational & make me think outside of the box.
ReplyDeleteBut I always smile, or even chuckle, when I read your posts. I find them delightful & humorous! And sometimes I don't even understand all the terms! Thank you! 😊☺️
Great card Ang,love all the elements, that love the gloss,on the leaves.
ReplyDeleteIta.
What a super card Ang, love everything about it so pleased that Nesta liked it after your hard work. I shall keep a look out for the gloss you have used, I like the sound of it. Don't think of flying North for a paddle, as up here in the Lake District you will get frostbite! The fells do look beautiful all covered with snow though.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and those you love a new year that shines with happiness.

Gorgeous card Ang and wonderful embossing folder. Hope you are having a good work out in the cold weather to get rid of those extra kilo's. It is too hot to work out over here well for me anyway. DH says it is barely warm but he does have an excuse for feeling the cold.
ReplyDeleteOn the way to our daughters house we pass The Puddle Duck vineyard and I always think of you. Must stop and take a photo.
