Good Sunday morning everyone. Hope, as always, this finds you well.
Nice to have Val and Ita back. Val, I hope that your eyesight is now so good that you can see all my mistakes lol!!!
Janice (that's MAWTT Janice before you all shout lol!) you're not a pest but there are now 3 of you who come for a paddle lol!
Well, here's my purchases from the NEC. Not anywhere near as bad as usual. Mr D gave me early birthday money but I came back with half of it.
Hazel(Didos) there wasn't too much squishing. I try and avoid unsolicited bodily contact unless its someone resembling Danny Dyer or Colin Firth hahaha!
The round things at the front are 6 coasters from the MDF Man. You may also notice decopatch papers (Santoro ones) and you can blame John for that lol!!!
Its not too bright a photo as I decided, like a chimp, to take the photo just as the eclipse was happening so there was a very weird light.
Sadly, both Sue P and Graham didn't make it as Sue had a poorly toe (I knew that vibrating pedi thing would be her downfall) but I had a lovely catch up over lunch and a later cuppa with Christine (lovely lass)
Also met up with John, who was playing escort to Julia Watts and Sue Wilson. I've met Julia before but it was lovely to meet Sue for the first time. Hilariously, the ladies reckoned John was the first one to get recognised. . . . . . . must get his autograph and ebay it lol!!!
Not as many stalls there and a couple of big names missing but for a £3.00 Tesco ticket and a £2.50 rtn train fare, its all good and I thoroughly enjoyed it (Door to door by train was only 40 mins).
Ohhhh, before I forget, another little something I bought home. . . . . . . .
This is a Chocolate Tiffin Brownie (chocolate, fruit, nuts and coconut) I bought home for Mr D. I had eaten my Nutella and Peanut Butter Blondie Brownie at the show for breakfast (Is a balanced diet when you have one in each hand???)
I have to say it was the most delish brownie I have ever eaten and Mr D savoured every mouthful of his. I managed to get the photo before he got sight of it. . . . . . . .I won't tell you how many Mr Lockwood bought lol!!!
As you will notice on the bag, there is a website and. . . . . . . . . MAIL ORDER!!!!!!
If anyone is going to the show today, go grab em before they sell out.
Karen, no Thank Crunchie exchanged hands this time. . . . .probably just as well with the brownies lol!
A last couple of snaps. . . . . . . . . . . . .
These are my first efforts at using texture paste as I mentioned last week. I haven't decided what to do with them yet but watch this space (Don't get too excited Pamellia, this is about as messy as I get hahaha!!!)
A close up of its texturedy glitteryness. I think it was Magenta Chic.
Well, that's me. Hope Patricia and Hazel have had a lovely time in Belfast (haven't seen any debauchery reported on the BBC News lol!!!) and that you all have a smashing Sunday and week ahead.

Ps. . . . Michele, hope you do decide to start a blog (its good fun) and so sorry to read about your friend.
Morning Ang, Interesting to see your new purchases and read about your visit to Birmingham, I would love to go to one of the exhibitions, just to see all the main exhibitors under one roof. Maybe one day! In the meantime you bought some nice products and can look them up on the web. Like your first venture into texture paste, looking forward to seeing your finished product. Take care all, Linda.
ReplyDeleteFab paste thingy Ang, cant wait to see what you make with it.
ReplyDeleteJust watching Johns shows as I type. xxx
Hi Ang, love your attempts with the texture paste, love using mine, they are just such gorgeous colours. Nice little stash, don't know how you managed to come back with money. Have a great day all. Bx
ReplyDeleteLooks like a good amount of craft stash! The Brownies look delicious-they wouldn't last long here either. The Spellbinders die looks interesting-look forward to seeing what you make with it.
ReplyDeleteStill debating over the whole blog setup-can't decide what to do. The reason i'd set one up is to send cards off for some cards off for design teams-most seem to require you to have a blog.
Thanks for the comments about my friend-not looking forward to the funeral on Friday, seeing his wife (who still works for us but has been off sick -understandably) and his parents.
Must crack on with my chores then might fo a spot of gardening as its a beautiful day here in Southport.
Michele
Morning Ang,
ReplyDeleteYou always make me smile in the morning, you have a wonderful way with words.
Interesting stash, enjoy playing with it.

Good morning Mrs Duck. Hope you have recovered from Thursday. It was a really great day - even more special for me bumping into Andy!!! My brownies have gone! Unfortunately (lol!) I had to eat them both myself because John's dietary restrictions forbid them. Ha! ha! ha! Your texture paste effort looks great. Can't wait to see what you eventually do with it. Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeleteMorning Mrs Duck,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a good time, a few nice items waiting to be played with. It's always interesting to see what some one else has bought, especially the brownie!
Cheers
Janice W
Woo hoo! Some great stash I'll look forward to seeing what you do The Brownies look amazing I'm curious to know about the "balls" you mentioned on John's blog! Texture paste is on my list for Ally Pally! I'd like to see the colours and types in real life Thank Crunch was a huge success as my offering at the recent charity bake off we did at work I'm just about to email PharmacyMichele to encourage her
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a good day Mrs. Duck, and fairly cheap to get there and get in, too. If I went it would probably cost me upwards of £500, inc. ferry with car, petrol, two overnight stays, though I still wish I could get there. I'll have to make do with the Belfast Craft Fair in April. I could make out that you bought the heart shaped striplet die. I got that one recently, so I'll be interested to see what you do with it.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Ang glad you enjoyed your day out and what nice goodies you bought. The word stamps for £1 look very useful as does the begonia cardio set so will look forward to seeing what you do with them love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fabulous time, lovely stash, I love the look of that Spellbinders die, very elegant. I love your first attempt at he paste too, looks fabulous, can't wait to see what you deiced to do with it!

Looks like you had a great day at NEC. I went to a beading show at Sandown, then went onto a craft shop in Farnborough. Didn't spend too much as I am going to Excel this Friday, and need money for that. Janice xxx http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteGreat stash there Ang and so sad we couldn't be there but hopefully next time. We have the brownie bar at Newcastle so being that Paul goes up there to the heart hospital we often nip in...just saying LOL lots of huggles Sue xxxxxxxxx
ReplyDeleteMrs D - looking at your stash you look as though you have been very restrained!! liking the look of the texture paste backgrounds - hopefully you will use yours as the practice ones I did are still in a pile waiting to be used - my problem is I like to experiment and see what things look like but don't always use them - maybe one day and looking forward to what you come up with yours (I need the inspiration)!! Enjoy the rest of this beautiful weekend and hopefully you will hear some good news soon about your job xx GailT xx
ReplyDeleteFabulous new goodies Ang, and I'm sure you'll soon be creating the most wonderful projects. I'm dead envious of the the Card-io stamps.
ReplyDeleteYour glittering up of the stencil is gorgeous, love the colour so rich.
Pleased you and Christine had a good meet up. I'm saying nothing about the brownie!! hugs Kate x
Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteI think my favourite thing that you bought was the Tiffin - I love a tiffin bar, but I suppose it had better be a crafty thing, so I'll go for the Spellbinder die. It looks nearly as lush as the Tiffin!!!
Looking forward to what treats you have in store with these goodies. The coaster will make a good present when finished.
Maureen xx
p.s. My daughter put some of the Santoro Decopatch Papers in with my Mother's Day Present. I'll look forward to some hints and tips from you!!!
ReplyDeleteMaureen xx
Ooh you got lots of lovely things! That brownie - my mouth is watering!!!! Love your textured card, very nice and neat and glittery. Look forward to seeing a made up something with it! Michelle x
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteI thought getting pasted was something to do with drink the alcohol type. lol.
Till I read on.
Now you are going to be in Sue Ps bad books showing yummy treats.
She did mention on her blog about someone that keeps putting yummy things on their blog. Naughty, Naughty. lol.
Any rate they sure look worth a try, even if I'm on the dreaded diet too.
That Nutella blond one sounds even yummier.
Lovely lot of goodies to add to your stash, and your glitter pasting is ace.
I must try some of this as I have been meaning to, and after seeing your lovely efforts I think my bank balance is going to suffer, as we are saving for hols.
I hope all is well in the Duck pond.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
You had my mouth watering with that brownie! Must bake brownies now! Sounds like you had a good time at NEC. Looking forward to see what you make with your new goodies!
ReplyDeleteHi Ang. It looks like you had a good time at the show, and you have some great goodies to play with : ) The brownie looks scrummy too, might have to have a look online at them : ) Take care.
ReplyDeleteHi Ang. Sounds like a good show and meeting Mrs Wilson-wow I'm impressed.
ReplyDeleteI love all the goodies you bought especially the die. Looking forward to seeing what you make with it.
I too have had a dabble with the texture paste. It was a while ago but seeing yours I think I'll have a go again.
Love Val x
Well slap my thigh and call me Betty...is that texture paste I see! Sorry Ang, but it's too late, I'm already excited! That is just amazing, I am so glad you gave texture paste a go, hope you don't pack that stuff away, you could do some amazing things, I just know it!!!
ReplyDeleteGood shopping day by the looks of it, I'm having one of those soon too, Discovered that there's a craft shop about an hour and change from here, and I am going to check it out soon! Just hope they aren't toting the standard sky high Canadian prices! Fingers crossed. big hugs :)
It is always so much fun to see what someone else buys! But I have to admit, that Brownie looks like the find of the year!!
ReplyDeleteSandy xx
Good afternoon Ang,
ReplyDeleteOh i am so glad that you had a lovely time at the NEC but to come back with money tells me that there wasn't as much going on but i hope that it didn't stop you from enjoying yourself.Sorry i haven't been around this past wee while but i was down at the depths of your duck pond i'm afraid with just one thing on top of another but i have come up for air again and to see all the happy splashing that is going on here.
As for John, well at least him and his lady friends were all about the same height but imagine being greedy to have 2 women on your arms. I bet Sue and Julia found it an unusual experience to say the least being on the customer side of the demo tables asking questions instead of always answering them. And if Sue has put on some weight we know who to blame for it.... that John and his brownies.
Sending hugs to all my fellow paddlers and you ANG, hope you are having a lovely day.
Love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)
