Good morning my little paddling chums and Happy April Fools Day. Hope all is well with you and yours.
Hello too to new visitors who have kindly left comments.
I'm here with a DT card as today is the start of April's challenge at House of Cards and the theme is . . . . . . . .
Add a butterfly &/or colour challenge
Hope you can pop and have a look at my team mates creations and also why not join in?
Well, I decided to go down just the butterfly route as you know I don't do bright colours. . . . . . . . yes, I can hear you all howling with laughter hahaha!!
The butterflies are actually set into apertures created by cutting the SB Elizabeth Border Strip outer edge from the top layer but the way the shadows fall from the lighting, it gives the illusion that they are mounted on toppers, particularly on the snap below. . . . . . . .
Ingredients
White card (Lime Tree)
Plum card (Lidl)
Sue Wilson Cygnus Gemini die
SB Elizabeth Border Strip
SB Jewel Flowers and Flourishes (butterflies only)
Woodware sentiment stamp
Mei Flower gold teeny bling
Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogany DI
On the above photo, you can see the apertures.
I hope that you like my interpretation of the theme and that you can come and join in with the challenge.
I must apologise for being behind with my visits to those of you with blogs. Jeepers, this work mularky plays havoc with your blog life!!! I will endeavour to catch up during today.
Thank you all for your best wishes for my new job. As I am training, its 2 full weeks of 8.45 to 17.45 (thankfully, I have a day off today!!!) before I start my part time hours. I'm shattered already and we're only half way through week one lol!!!
Mr D's snorty sniffles have been disturbing my sleep too, which doesn't help but a least I haven't developed anything more than a sniff myself and he is feeling better. . . . . . . . . I think he had a touch of flu, as some of you thought, too and he thanks you all for your kind concern (I think he felt quite touched by your lovely comments). Wendy, I think he may be a bit hormonal too. . . well, he did want bling on his card lol!!!
Well, time to keep an eye on the weather as I have washing out and I know rain is to come at some point.
Have a good day folks and will see you tomorrow (hopefully) for the next MAWTT challenge. . . . . . see, I'm like buses, not one for ages then 2 in a row lol!!!

Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful design for a gorgeous card. Glad Mr D is on the mend and hasn't given you it. Remember, a rubber mallet is very good if he keeps you awake at night. It's kept my marriage going for over 48 years!!! (only kidding.....well!)
I wish I understood what you are writing about GP, Ferrari, Podium, is this some new language, or another way of saying "watching paint dry". (I bet you block me from your blog now!)

Good afternoon Ang, I just LOVE your beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteEverything is stunning, bright colours ...... I see no bright colours. I know you don't like using them ...... who said that???
