Good morning lovely people. Hope that this finds you well. I have turned down the heating in The Pond now as its warmed up considerably now (times are hard). If its still a bit nippy around the nethers, just let me know and I'll crank it up a notch.
I just realised, I sailed right past my 2 year Bloggerversary on 6th April. . . . . . yes, its only 2 years guys. . . . . it just seems a lot longer to you hahaha!!!
I was going to mark the occasion with a little Paddle Prize but as I'm now only 3 short of 100 followers, I shall hang on and lets see if we can trap entice 3 new friends to join us (I know there's a few of you come to paddle anonymously) and a will send out a better PP.
I'm enjoying a couple of days off following a busy few days. I'm enjoying the job at the moment but it is hard work physically, so keeping me fit and a fair bit of paperwork, keeping me fit mentally lol!!!
Mind you, there are perks to getting first dibs on things like a fabulous cuddly Shaun The Sheep and a black leather handbag with a scottie dog emblem (you know what I mean gals!!!).
Thank you for your lovely comments on my pendants. Someone asked when I had made them. The ones on the photo were made about 2 years ago but I have made them since. I used to do car boots with my jewellery, quite successfully, to the point where I couldn't really keep up with replenishing my stock at times lol!!!
A couple of you mentioned about buying them but I'm happy to sort out a tutorial if anyone is interested as they are quite easy to make if you have a bit of time. . . . . . . . just let me know if that's something you would like me to do.
Now, today's card is one I had to send to a friend whose Dad recently passed away.
I had made one very similar to send to a blog chum a couple of months ago but I didn't photograph or blog that one as, obviously, that particular lady visits my blog and I just thought it wasn't right to publish it.
I liked what I had made and half remembered what I had done so made this version for my friend. I apologise for the darkness of the photos but it was one of those "need to post that day" moments so it was Russian Roulette with the lighting.

Hi Ang. What a lovely card, I love the simplicity of it. I can see why it is one that you are happy to make again and again : ) I'm glad that the job is going well, even if it keeps you busy both physically and mentally : )
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you will soon get to the big 100 followers, I think some people forget to add themselves as followers once they find a blog that they enjoy, now I have said that I am going to check that I am, just in case! Take care x

Hello Ang, always a difficult card to make, I think yours is just perfect. I do like the embossing folder. Glad the job is going well. Have a great Monday. Bx
ReplyDeleteGreat card for the occasion Mrs Duck - always a difficult card to make. Congrats on your Bloggaversary, I thought I'd been following you longer than that, so I must have been one of the early ones (I used to be Lacelady, but I lost that name somehow, and ended up with my Google account.)
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Ang, what a beautiful card, Love the dies and the embossing and the delicate shades.
ReplyDeleteIm sure a tutorial would be great, not for me though as I couldn't afford to kit myself out for another hobby.
Well done on the job front, knew you could do it. My job will be gone from 23rd June, I'm counting the days!, hugs Kate x
Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card, perfect for the occasion. Glad you manage to get a few perks of the job.

Such a pretty card Ang. The embossing is really gorgeous. Enjoy your days off! Michelle x
ReplyDeleteGood afternoon Angie,
ReplyDeleteI take my hat off to anyone that can bring themselves to make such lovely cards for such a sad occasion as i wouldn't be able to with the tears tripping me. This is a beautiful card that in all honesty i think could be used for any occasion, not just for what you made it for. I am glad that you are enjoying your new job and that it is strengthening your little wings and waders for the summer ahead. It's great when you get a job that you can enjoy and it keeps you mentally and physically active as it keeps those little grey cells from diminishing.
Have a great time off
love and crafty hugs
Norah (Glenochil)
Hi Ang, Lovely card today, although for a sad reason. Glad you have turned off the heating as it's lovely weather here at last, I think summer has finally arrived.
ReplyDeleteA tutorial for the lovely pendants would be great.
Don't know what has happened to blogland these days, everything I post never goes through first time!!
Love Nancy (in Spain) x
Lovely card Ang, the sentiment says it all, sometimes fewer are better. I am quite a newby to your blog, but look forward to seeing your cards and reading your stories, they cheer me up no end, and I am in need of that at the moment, so thanks a lot. Love Lynne x
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, sweet simplicity and ideal for a sad occasion. Glad the job is going ok . Off to mums tomorrow for a few days, so if anyone is cold this is the place to be, her heating is on full all the time as she is always cold and I'll sit there too hot in a t-shirt!! love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteFab card and perfect for most occasions - know the Scottie dog bag emblem you mean - my bag of choice when they are in the sale and then I make it last for a number of years - ie until it is really rather tatty xx cooling off a bit here so the heating may have tombe cranked up again - hopefully not!! xx GailT xx
ReplyDeleteGreat card for the occasion. Am jealous of you finding bags with a Scottie dog on it-I collect them, much to hubbys horror!
ReplyDeleteMichele
Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteanother really fab creation today.
Lovely designing as usual.
I turned my heat off a couple of weeks ago, and then we had a cold snap again, and had to turn it back on in the living room, as the temp dropped to far.
We have storage heaters, and they are not so controllable as other heating types.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Hi Ang, lovely card for a sad occasion, very tranquil. Glad your enjoying the new job and settling n okay
ReplyDeleteHi Ang this is really gorgeous so pretty. So happy your new job is going well and 'the hubster' had the heating on today it's turned cold here brrrrrrrr...huggles Sue xxxxxxxx
ReplyDeletePlease turn the heating back up, the hailstones are cold and hurt me when they hit my head.
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely card, it's always hard to do these. When I have to do one, I always plan to do a few to have in hand, but never do.
Now, remember, please Ang, you are at work to earn money, not just spend it there.
Cheers
Janice W
A beautiful card for a very sad occasion. I have just sent one out this weekend to a good blogging friend and like you it won't get blogged for the same reason. hugs Mrs A.
