Good afternoon everybody. . . . . . . Had to change that from "good morning" as my post didn't publish earlier. Somehow, my photos had disappeared too.
I'm hoping its just a technical glitch rather than Blogger becoming a card critic lol!!! I know some aren't as fancy as others but like to think they each deserve their moment in the Sun hahaha!
What a glorious day today. The Sun is indeed shining and my washing is gently blowing on the line and a F1 GP qualifying and Sue Wilson on the telly.................you gotta love life's simple pleasures lol!!!
Now, talking of simple, today's card is just that but it was for a male friend of ours who would definitely not appreciate anything remotely girlie.
You may remember my fisherman cards from previous years? Well those were for him but I thought he may be getting fed up with them so I plumped for football this year.
Ingredients
White card
Shades of Lidl blue card
X-Cut extra large circles dies
Docrafts Happy Birthday embossing folder (a go to for me for the guys)
Hobbycraft football stamp
Tumbled Glass DI
Dovecraft teeny weeny bling
Hopefully, you can see the decreasing circle aperture better on this snap.
Not frilly and fussy but functional lol!!!
Well, now I happen to be on here and altering my original post, I may as well tell you about a happening this morning. Regular visitors may remember my tales about the strange guy who lives over the road and some of things he wears and his nearly trapping things in his vertical blinds. All has been quiet on the western front for a while but this morning, after an early rising for F1 Qually, I popped upstairs to put some socks on as the tootsies were a bit chilly and I happened to glance out of the window as a movement caught my eye across the road.
The aforementioned blinds were open, not quite fully and the glow of a lamp was illuminating the bedroom.
The movement I could see was this chap bending up and down (I'm hoping some sort of exercise routine) but he was butt naked!!! I use the word "butt" as thankfully (though its a close call) that's the side that was on display.
It was too much for the eyes at 7am, although it did remind me that I need to Polyfilla a crack in my garden wall lol!!! Mind you, is that where the phrase "the crack of dawn" comes from? (I'm fairly sure his name isn't Dawn though) hahaha!!!
I really don't know if its done for effect or whether he doesn't realise he can be seen. I'm certainly not going to be the one to enlighten him.
Anyhoo, back to fiddle with my jacket spuds as Mr D finishes the hedges.
Have a great weekend folks

ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteoooooooooooo! you should be so lucky. LOL
You do make me chuckle also with your wonderful way with words.
Did you see last Sunday's program on the BBC called The Go Between, if you didn't well do watch as the man in that is a dish, and his physique is great and well worth a watch.
Your card is wonderful for a footy fan, and a great design too.
That embossing folder is a very handy one to have.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
I don't see a football (LOL) just a soccer ball!!! Sorry I just had to joke about it after the "Splendour" incident! Perfect masculine card! It's a beautiful day here in Colorado too. Enjoy your weekend! Donna
ReplyDeleteLovely card Ang, just the ticket for a male, have this embossing folder but usually use it for the younger members of the family, must change my thoughts now.
ReplyDeleteThink I would be on a permanent diet living across from your neighbour, put me off breakfast lol xx
Take care
Jean xx

Oh and if next door comes up for sale let me know , haha.
Hi Ang
ReplyDeleteWhat a great start to a Sunday morning.. you are so graphic I can almost see it...lol
Thanks you sooo much for highlighting my blog on your site I have had such lovely comments, it was so kind of you to do that.
I must say I love this card I find it so difficult to make men's cards and as my hubby is a football fanatic it would suit him down to the ground (Chelsea supporter and a football manager of a local men's team)
I am off to post my next blog thanks for all your support xxx
Great card Ang. You could always change for any sport.
ReplyDeleteI always have a quiet giggle at your comments.
Enjoy the F1.
Nancy
There is a lot more to your card than one might think for. I feel sure he appreciated the birthday card you made for his birthday. Who doesn't love football!
ReplyDeleteSandy xx
Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteYou've done it again I am in stitches here, you describe it so graphically I can just picture it!
Now to the card...fabulous background( think this is a must have) and brilliant card for all the males in our lives who love football.

Hi Ang, what a hoot, I can just picture it, had a similar experience a few years ago myself, not good first thing in the morning.
ReplyDeleteAnyway your card is super, just perfect for a footy fan, I do like the embossed background.
I'm saturated with rugby today, but at least Scotland won, I've been promised Downton tonight though, Kate x
Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteGreat man card today. Fits the bill perfectly.
I've had a good laugh at your descriptions of your neighbour. But I have to admit that it would put me off my breakfast. I reckon he knows exactly what he's doing, he's obviously hoping that you'll reciprocate!! ha ha. You've been so quiet about him that I thought he must have gone away.
Keep calm and carry on!!!

Never a dull moment! Does he read your blog, I wonder...
ReplyDeleteSuper card. I have 2 sons who would love this!
