Good morning paddlers. I hope this finds your boos all tickety?
Thank you as always for your kind comments on my last card. I'm giving you a short break from Christmas today.
Firstly, I must welcome Carol to the fold. Thank you for hitting the followers button (even if you may have just dropped a Custard Cream on your keyboard by mistake hahaha!!!) and hope you will visit often.
Now today is the start of another new month (where is this year disappearing to???) so its time for a new challenge at House of Cards and September's theme is. . . . . . . . . .Stitching!
Your stitching can be real or faux so it would be lovely to see you enter (this would be right up a certain Janice's alley, methinks lol!) My stitching is real. . . . . . . .(my stamping isn't wonky, just my camera work hahaha!!!)
Ingredients
Cream card
Fuchsia pink pearl card (Lime Tree)
Free flower pattern from www.stitchingcards.com
Embossalicious Tumbling Leaves embossing folder
SB Grand Ovals die
John Lockwood Cherry Blossom Elements sentiment stamp
Card-io Dragonfly and butterfly stamps
Cotton from a Pound shop (no expense spared on this blog lol!!!)
Dovecraft pink bling
I did find the stitching very therapeutic and it didn't take too long but hopefully you find it as pretty as I do.
Please pop over to House of Cards to see what gorgeous cards my DT mates have created and why not have a go. . . . . . you know you want to lol!!!
Well, Hochanda (bless me!) has been interesting. After the first few hours resembling a remake of Victoria Wood's Acorn Antiques, it actually was quite good. I particularly enjoyed the fact that they let the guests demo without much interruption; a refreshing change from C&C.
John was, of course terrific (I would have said marvellous but he only gave me a fiver lol!!!)
Glad you got hold of him Wendy. He can be like the Scarlet Pimpernel at times lol!!!
Maureen, you are a hoot lol!!!
After my extra days last week, I have just had Sunday and Monday off and boy did I need it. Normal week this week, barring incident so at least I can draw breath.
Wishing you all a great week and happy days.

So pretty ANg, lovely stitching and a nice embossing folder, xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, what a very pretty card, love the real stitching, a lovely flower. Great embossing too.
ReplyDeleteI've watched John a few times and enjoyed his demos, and I agree he was left to just get on with it, which is what we want. Cards were gorgeous, even although the dies and I don't get along, but his tips are fabulous and I would say I've learned such a lot. Pleased you enjoyed your days off, hugs Kate x

ReplyDeleteIt's stunning Ang I keep promising myself to try stitching a card I'm off to Pound shop tomorrow! I agree with you totally re Hochanda John was brilliant
ReplyDeleteI love stitching cards so it is great to see one on a blog. Must do a few more. I find they are good to take if you are away a couple of days as not much space is taken up. Have found quite a few freebie patterns on the Internet in the past.

Your stitching is fantastic! Very sweet card
ReplyDeleteA great card I got into card making from my love of cross stitch that then turned into cards and so on. So this card is right up my street. Hochanda is good but with no website up and running yet it is a bit of a let down hopefully they will sort it out soon. Have a great week xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks for the welcome, Ang. And no I didn't drop my custard cream:). Your card is gorgeous and combines my two fav things - Cardmaking and embroidery. Must give this a go! I've got a drawerful of threads to use up, so that could be quite a few.
ReplyDeleteI haven't done this technique for years - it is so pretty.
ReplyDeleteJust watching a repeat of one of John's shows showing the Cloud paints - I must try mine out!

Morning Ang,

and now you show it again oooh I adore yours
so elegant and adorable and I see you have so many fans your card get many comment...because your card is Great sweety :)
see you maybe on my stitched card soon

Pretty card Mrs Duck. I would like Hochanda even more if I could BUY something from them. I thought I sighned up for the Freedom club just a few minutes after launch, especially as I was told that it would include free shipping to Ireland.
ReplyDeleteTwo days later I tried to buy something, only to be told that the free shipping I was promised was a mistake and what's more, they can't send anything to me, as their system won't cope with our addresses because we don't have post codes. Well we got those about a fortnight ago, but they still couldnt post to me. So as far as I am concerned, a shopping channel which broadcasts all over the world via the internet SUCKS when it won't post a parcel to Ireland, and gives out misleading information on the first day!!!!!
Wow, gorgeous! Love, love, love the stitched flowers! How awesome something so simple can be. Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteYour stitching is stunning and your embossed cardstock is a great frame for your lovely design! Donna T. HOC DT
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card!! Love the stitching and embossing!! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteLove this card. The embossing folder is gorgeous, and your stitching is spot on. The whole thing is very pretty.
Hochanda is slowly improving, and John - bless him - just gets on with it. The sound is improving and I think the picture is clearer, especially when I clean my specs!!!
Keep paddling, and don't bump into anything.
