Good morning everyone. Hope you're all well? How are Nancy and Maria's legs doing these days, if its not too personal a question?
Sorry its been nearly a week since I've been here. I honestly don't know where the time has gone. Other than my Echo scan last Friday, I have managed to keep myself out of hospital this week so far. . . . . hurrah!!! Just waiting on results but thank you so much for your kind concern. Christine, I can promise you, I have not been frequenting the local NHS facilities for their gastronomic delights . . . . . . .I think I could successfully diet if I were in there any length of time lol!!!
I've split my tablet dose (I did ask the doctor if that was ok) so I take 2/3rds in the morning and the remaining 1/3rd at night and it has made such a difference to how I feel during the day so this week I have been spending a bit of time in the garden and even managed a trip to Tesco on my own. I did use the Scan and Shop but I felt so chuffed to have been able to walk round the entire store without having to stop every 5 minutes.
Anyhoo, another of the cards using John's fab stamps. A CAS card that could be used for many an occasion I should think. I suppose this could qualify as a Friday Oldie as it seems ages ago since I made this lol!!!
Ingredients
Cream and Sky Blue Foundation card
John Lockwood Nasturtium Everyday Sentiments stamps
John Lockwood Nasturtium Elements stamps
Presscut Squares dies
Memento Dew Drop Summer Sky ink
Frosty Sky PVA Pearls
Now, I do apologise Elaine (Nattyboots), I forgot to answer your question a couple of cards back about my neat scoring. I stamped the sentiment first and then scored around that just marking where I wanted the score line to finish, very lightly in pencil. Hope that makes sense? Hope you had a good break?
Well, I'm keeping everything crossed for Sunday when I shall be meeting Darnell and some of her other bloggy buddies in Birmingham. Nesta has offered to chaperone me as I think Mr D would rather sit in a room with folk scraping fingernails down a blackboard than sit listening to half a dozen women talking craft, life and the meaning of the Universe, but he was worried about me travelling alone (its a train ride) in case I have an A/Fib attack.
I shall hopefully be reporting back about an afternoon of fun and frivolity early next week. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone.
Meantime, hope you all have a happy Friday and a wonderful weekend.
TTFN

ReplyDeleteHi Ang, Lovely card today.
ReplyDeleteThank you for inquiring about my leg, I don't mind you asking. I was at the hospital on Tuesday and told I do not need anymore physio (three times a week) really messed up the week. I am getting about a lot better now, no more pain thank goodness. Have to see the specialist in October and hopefully that will be the last!!

Hi Ang,
ReplyDeletewhat a superb card, and I do love the wonderful design and colour choice.
So glad things are on the up on your health issues.
Enjoy your meet with Darnell.
I was supposed to meet in Southampton, but I have started to suffer with anxiety tummy issues when I have to meet or go anywhere now.
Not sure whether it's part and parcel of my meds.
Also my granddaughter was supposed to take me, and good job we didn't as her card broke down.
Love and big hugs from my house to yours.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
PS Please let Darnell know I am thinking of her and her and hope she is enjoying every minute.
Fab card, hope your heart plays nicely. Cara x
ReplyDeleteHey Ang. I've come to clarify because I can't have you thinking that I'm not taking care of my ducks! I actually don't feed them just bread, it's just easier to write that in my post, than to say "my bag of bread, bird seed, grapes, oats, carrots, cabbage and whatever leftover vegetables there were from last night". lol
ReplyDeleteI do add a little bread into the bag but I think the good stuff outweighs the carbs. If I only someone would regulate my junk food intake, I'd be a happy camper! lol
I don't feed the squirrels JUST peanuts either, although that's always what I refer to on the blog. They also get a healthy diet of mixed nuts, grapes, berries, kale and avocado. Again, it's just easier for me to type 'peanuts' than bother with the rest of it.
I try to do my research, but I always appreciate any advice and input the seasoned experts have to share. YEP YOU!! have a great weekend my friend. :)
Shoot, I forgot to say thank you for your help with the flowers. I figured out some of them from Google, but you filled in some blanks for me. Don't always get the desired results when you run a search for 'pink flower'!! lol. big hugs :)
DeleteHi Ang sounds like your suffering from the same thing I do:( and having an echo is one of the most uncomfortable things lying on your side etc lol Poor Paul has to go through having yet another machine put in :( he never moans at all bless him I just hope this does make his breathing better...I unfortunately couldn't meet up with Darnell I don't go very far in case I have to drive back like a looney for Paul so I was disappointed :((( Hope you feel a lot better soon hun and your card is fabulous! huggles Sue xxxx

Hope you had a fab time with Darnell. She is such a fun Lady. Look forward to seeing your photos. Love this card btw. The depth you have achieved with the layering is fabulous. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty...lovely layers on this card.xx {aNNie}
ReplyDeleteHi Ange, I have found you now, added you to my blog list, and followed you, so you have another stalker now, rofl. I really had to smile about your comments on hospital food. That was entirely the worst part of being in hospital for 6 weeks. The food was terrible! So bad, in fact, that I'd often message Beloved Hubby to stop off on his way to visit, and either get me a Sausage, egg & mushroom sandwich, or a Maccies. Tells you how bad it is when Maccies is a meal of choice, lol. Fortunately, the Hospital had a restaurant, and the food in there was fantastic, so we'd often go down there and have a meal too. It was lovely meeting you and the others. Aren't crafters the wonderful bunch of people?
ReplyDeleteHugs, Shaz xx
