Good morning lovely bloggers. Hope all is good with you and yours.
Warning, picture heavy post.
Have had an up and down few days but managed to meet up with John for breakfast yesterday morning. Had a great catch up and a nice chow down.
Now, today we have a threefer, a variation on the theme of the last card but in DL format and a couple of others . I don't normally do DL cards and making these, I remembered why. You use pretty much the same amount of useful card to create a smaller card, that still costs the same as an A5 card to post!!!
You live and learn. . . . . .

As for the stunning card above, I cannot claim the credit for as it was sent to me by the lovely Wendy (Yorks Butterfly) for her paddle prize and showing part of her prize (the Grate Works die) to great effect. Wendy doesn't have a blog so I asked if she would mind me showing it.
Isn't it a picture? Thank you again Wendy.
Well, who knew that wearing your jim jams to go shopping was such a popular pastime.
Elaine and Nancy, it comes to something when a store has to put up a sign telling folk to not come in their nightwear and perhaps charging them will do the trick (Nancy, hope you got to the SECC or to see John if your'e in that neck of the woods)
Mrs A, she was wearing slippers (that shamefully did not match the pyjamas lol!!!)
Donna and June, thank you for bringing the images of Walmart shoppers in to my life. After viewing them on Google, I am seeking therapy to rid my memory of such hideous images lol!!!
Thank you all for your best wishes for Friday (or Fryday as John and I named it after getting burns on my chest and back last time).
Its a mixture of emotions (like watching your ex drive off a cliff in your brand new car) as not looking forward to it,but wanting to have it done to try and get me back to normal . . . . . . well, as normal as I can get lol!!!
Hopefully I should get a post on for Friday so hope to see you then.

Morning Ang, thanks for sharing your lovely cards, and Wendy's thank you card. They are all beautiful. Hope the treatment goes well, sounds painful though. Take care. Bx
ReplyDeleteSome great cards Ang. But I'm with you on the DL cards I tend to shy away from them .
ReplyDeleteWendy's card is gorgeous she should have her own blog xxx
Love the cards Ang, although I do like DL cards but understand what you are saying. Everything crossed for the treatment. My mum had that a long time ago and it did the trick then so hoping for you. There will be a lot of us walking strangely on Friday with everything crossed and, no, we won't be waiting for the loo! Thinking of you!

Great cards as ever, Ang. I love the snowflake panel one. I have just used the vintage gold/mirri combination on favour boxes and it is so effective.
ReplyDeleteAll the best.
Anne (Northampton)
Morning Ang,
ReplyDeleteGreat card, I do like DL cards, but don't often make them.
Good luck for Fryday hope it's not too bad.

Hi Ang, I don't tend to do DL either but the striplet die does fit so beautifully on the one you have shown. May I say through this post to Wendy how lovely her card is. Will be thinking of you on Friday and hoping for some good results love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteHi there Ang, firstly York Butterfly's card is stunning, she ought to have a blog and share her cards,if this is anything to go by.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are gorgeous, lovely snowflake panel and beautiful colours. I'm liking DL cards more and more, don't know why it's taken till now to discover it, take care of yourself, Kate x

Good luck for Friday All of your cards are stunning I don't do DL cards very often - even though they do look very elegant I didn't know why but after reading your reasons I now know why lol!
ReplyDeleteHi Ang
ReplyDeleteWOW, loving these cards, DL and all!
Wendy's card is also beautiful
I'm really doing my best in spreading the joys of the WALMART shopping experience, ;) as the psychiatrist told me I will need therapy for a very long time... you're so welcome to join me Ang lol

Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteI am a little strange - but you already know that - I like DL cards and it has never occurred to me that there was any reason not to make them! I use the offcuts to stamp and colour images, so making toppers. I will have to rethink my strategy if you do not approve, and your 3 Christmas beauties are a thing of wonder.
Wendy's card is gorgeous too. I have that die and have never used it but now I will, thanks Wendy!!
Good luck for Friday Ang, at least I hope it's Fri and not Fry.
love Maureen xxx

Wendy may i say how beautiful your card is , just gorgeous.
Well Ang , you know we will all be rooting for you on Friday, as someone once told me " you have to have the crappy to get the happy" Andrew says "it helps to have a mantra" ,,,,,,
Take Care my friend sending you positive vibes and big hugs .

Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteoh I love these superb creations.
They are all so very luxurious and wonderfully created and designed.
My that card from your blog candy winner is stunning.
She should have a blog as we are missing some wonderful creations I'm sure.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Love the DL cards and I'd be out of my comfort zone too with making lots of these. Lovely card from Wendy too.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck for your homie visit
From the tub! Jennie
Wow Ang, these are so gorgeous! I love all three, but I have to admit that the snowflake striplet is a real eye catcher! Beautiful designs, so elegant and classy! LOVE!! It's funny how different post is from country to country. I love the tall n' skinny, over here they fit perfectly into a standard business envelope, so all you have to worry about is the thickness and weight. The square cards and large cards are where the problems begin. hope all is well, sending hugs :)
ReplyDeleteThe DL cards are lovely and make a refreshing change of shape. I'll have to dig mine out again.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well on Friday.

Hello Ang ... a wee blast from the last here!!
ReplyDeleteLoving your brilliant cards, everyone a winner.
I like DL cards, I use them Landscape quite often. They don't fall over the same if there are heavier embellishments on them.
Will be thinking of you tomorrow, hope they dont "Fry" you because it's Friday!!
