Good morning crafty pals. Hope you are being good?
Thank you for all of your wonderful comments, particularly over the last few manic days. You really are a lovely bunch. . . . . . even Bonnie Fletcher, Clyde Killen and their Yorkie getaway driver lol!!! Talking of which, I'm going to I-Player the Gardeners World featuring the wisterias to see if they give an address, which I will then put on my side bar, pretending its my house to put the ram raiders off the scent.
A very warm welcome to David J, Sandra, Linda, mryoak, Morag and Pauline J who have kindly clicked "follow", hopefully intentionally rather than thinking it was the "delete the boring bint" button hahaha!!!
Don't forget, anyone who is a follower and comments on Tuesday's post (click here) is in with a chance of winning the little paddle Prize on offer.
Now, today's card is another sample from the Daisy's Jewels and Crafts shows that were on Hochanda yesterday. I hope you managed to watch. Even though the stamp sets are called "cute" you can do non cute things with them too. I also love the little MDF Christmas shapes too, particularly the leaping reindeer/stag.
Ingredients
Cream and dark purple card (Ross)
SW Snowflake Corner, Border and Tag die
Daisy's Cute Penguin stamp set (Snowflake stamps)
Daisy's Cute Reindeer stamp set (Sentiment)
Daisy's MDF Reindeer
Variety of Distress Inks
Black marker
Stampendous fine white embossing powder
Pearlage
I was going for the leaping reindeer/stag against the moonlight look (hopefully achieved).
Well, Tuesday was a long and tiring day as John picked me up in the Craftmobile (its like the Batmobile, but we didn't have to wear our underpants over our tights) at 6.30am.
There is only usually one 6.30 I see in a day and that's pm!!!
They are a really lovely team at Hochanda and it was bizarre that a couple of the presenters and producers came into the Green Room as they wanted to meet "Mrs Duck". Bit embarrassing but if I was "Mrs Smith" they probably wouldn't have been that curious lol! Fascinating though to see behind the scenes.
Helped John set up (and pack up at the end) and didn't he do fabulously. I'm in the queue for some media plates too as they are currently as rare as rocking horse poo.
If you've got a set, bang em on eBay for £50 lol!!!
Thank you for bearing with my post overload this week. I know its usually just a couple of times per week, which normally teeters round everyone's yawn threshold (I thought I'd say that before anyone else does lol!!!) so I hope the post fest hasn't pushed you over the edge.
Next week, normal service will be resumed.
Also, in the next couple of days, John and I will be giving details of a craft workshop day we have set up for 2nd September at a Midlands venue, very handy for the M6, M69(M1), M6(M1) and A46.
That's me for today folks. Be back again tomorrow with another Daisy's card. . . . . . .bet you can't wait lol!!!

Morning Ang, love this card, you really do justice to the lovely items from Daisy's. There was so much inspiration on the shows, and I love the MDF items. Have a great day, hope you recover from your outing with John, obviously you are famous now, no wonder people wanted to meet you. Take care. Bx

Good morning Ang. Another great card. Oh I think you are enjoying playing with all these new goodies. It's good to see you are feeling well enough to do things.
ReplyDeleteNow John needs to do a workshop up over the border or even at the border for the Scottish and north of England folk. ( hint, hint.) Midland is no good beginning September got family things going on. October would be better. Hazel x
Gorgeous card, Ang. Exciting news about the workshop - I hope Jan and I can get to it.

Good morning Ang what a cleverly designed card. You are certainly having fun. As I'm doing a workshop with John on the 6th September I don't think I'll journey on the motorways to you on the 2nd but it is bound to be a great success. Have a restful weekend love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous card, love the dimension on it. Lovely to have you blogging so often. Great idea about the wisteria address!
ReplyDeleteYodel ho he ho
ReplyDeleteHello Ang Pet,
I can see myself atop of the mounting, yodelling like a lonely goatherd a'la Sound of Music style!!! ha ha. (you don't have to be mad but it helps)
Don't forget to forward us the address of the wisty lady!!
Now, whereabouts in the Midlands are you talking about for this Workshop with John? Are you talking BBC Midlands which is anywhere north of Watford in outer London, or the Northern take on the Midlands which is around Manchester?
Hope you are well.
Maureen x
Oops, forgot to say that your are a Leg End in your own time at Hochanda, or should that be legend ha ha.
DeleteHi Maureen... one way or another I'll be at the workshop, 'we' can then suss out the 'wisty challenge', we could introduce the 'good crafter, bad crafter' as opposed to good cop/bad cop... you know what I mean lol
DeleteMorning Ang, another fabulous card, I do wish I had your imagination. Great news about the workshop, but how about coming a little further North, we are a friendly bunch up here and if you were up here it would give us chance for a Ninja raid on the Wisteria.
ReplyDeleteTake care Ang and keep well

Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteJust to say I'm the one with the " funny name" ha ha!
Thanks for telling us about your day at Hochanda ! It was an early start! I don't do those either!
Really like today's card! I like how you have combined the Dies with Stamping.
Looking forward to hearing where the workshop will be!
Many thanks,
Love Myra xx
You did indeed succeed in the look of a leaping reindeer against the moonlight. Lovely card. I am pleased you had a great day at Hochanda and were extended such sweet courtesies. You are a special lady and a great card designer. And I am certain that is why some of Hochanda's hosts wanted to meet you - Mrs. Duck. John is so proud of you and your work and wants to "show you off".
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs D, Many congratulations on your design tea news.I am not sure if I have ever clicked on the follow button as I usually click on Johns page to your page,so will try and rectify this. Love the reindeer card although usually I don't do that sort of style. Stay well Love Barbara D xx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeletewell I go away from blogging for a short while and all happens and I have missed it all. Typical.
Just caught John's second show and recorded it on Tuesday, but haven't had time to watch it yet.
Love your wonderful cards and the others you have shown while I have been away.
That clock the colour is so beautiful and it magnificent.
Love and big crafty hugs from my house to yours. Jenny L.
Just tried it but got message forbidden, error 403 so although I am following your exploits apparently I can't be a bona fide follower.Sorry Love Barbara D xx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang
ReplyDeleteLove this card and the leaping reindeer/stag
It'll possibly take you a few more days to catch up on that early morning and long day!
I'm very excited to hear of a workshop!!! Please put me and Mr F on the list before it gets filled :) I won't mention 'wisty' ;) and I'll bring cupcakes for everyone too made with my own delicate hands lol
Take care, and rest when you can

ReplyDeleteI would so love to do a workshop I tried to get on his Farnborough one but was fully booked
Rocking horse poo!??! I thought those 'bits' were something the cat brought in!!!! We've only had the horse a week... Thought it was house trained. ...
ReplyDeleteNice card BTW.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Ang. Thank you. Yes John did do well on his shows. Pity we didn't see you. I am not surprised you haven't got over going out at 6.30am. Like Myra I also don't do that time of the day even to watch my granddaughter ice skating.
