Good morning chaps and chapesses. Hope you are all well.
I've had a few days away in the Cayman Islands registering my new hairdryer for tax purposes. I'm going to offer to rent it to Lewis so that I can claim its for business use........
Now, today its another sample I made for John's last shows and is another that is made with a Christmas stamp that isn't a Christmas card, showing they're not just a one trick pony.
Ingredients
White and purple card
Presscut Square dies
Crafts Too Fancy Lattice embossing folder
John Next Door Build a Wreath stamp set (Bow)
John Lockwood Fern Frames Elements stamp set (Sentiment)
Memento Dewdrop Grape Jelly ink
Teeny purple bling
This could do for a birthday card.
Well, I went for my sleep test results and came home with a bloomin CPAP machine. I am borderline for having to use it and thought I was being suffocated when they got me to try it at the hospital but I said I would try and get used to it gradually during the day before even attempting to sleep with the thing.
If I thought the sleep test equipment was bad, the mask and tubing makes me look like the love child of Hannibal Lecter and Nellie the Elephant.
Once again, I think Mr D was reminded of what attracted him to me lol!!!
Mr Lockwood gave me a stern talking to about making sure I give it a fair go so I have promised I will. If all else fails, I can use it to top up the air in my tyres.
As most of my breath holding was whilst on my back, I am trying to keep off my back by having plastic air freshener tops stuffed down the back of my vest (I tell you, if the aliens ever landed in this house..............) but it is working at keeping me from rolling onto my back.
After popping those interesting images in your head, I shall leave it there lol!! I'm off to have a nice chianti and some fava beans for breakfast.
Be good.

Oh my Ang having come back from holiday on Saturday and then developed a terrible cold/flu like on Sunday I had to try and sleep sitting up a bit in bed which was bad enough but with all your paraphernalia it must be a struggle but as is said you have to persevere to get the benefit so I hope things improve for you. Aside from that your card is great so much stamping and all so neat!! Love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteSometimes you give just a little too much information which get's my mind conjuring up pictures which would scare Mary Shelley!! However, I do hope that this is a short term "fix" and that things improve quickly and permanently for you.
In the meantime, it's a lovely card!
Maureen xx
Afternoon Ang,
ReplyDeleteOh dear Ang you seem to be having all sorts to deal with. Lets hope you it's a short term thing.]
Love the card.

ReplyDeleteSohelpmabob! Ang what a picture you paint, but if it helps you've got to give it a fair go. Hope you managed to do it.
ReplyDeleteYour card is gorgeous, beautifully designed and of course the colour theme is lovely, take care of yourself Hugs Kate x
My mind is boggling at the thought. Throw in your neighbours from hell and you have the makings of a best seller here. The embossing folder on your card reminds me of the old quilted headboards (See you've got me locked onto beds). Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteHi Ang
ReplyDeleteI have this image.... it's not a good image lol. You do conjure a unique picture and Mr Lockwood is quite right, so please take note!!

PS.... oops, lovely card! Adore the sentiment
Lovely card Ang. Thank you for sharing this. You must give this a go Ang and I hope it works for you. Take care.
ReplyDeleteAng,
ReplyDeleteI don't know what I enjoy more - your amazing cards or your wonderful sense of humour! Take care. I hope you are OK soon x
This is just fabulous, it shows perfectly how versatile the stamps can be. Good luck with the CPAP machine. My Dad was diagnosed with sleep apnoea about 30 years ago. Back then the mask was attached by wearing a polyester cap over his head - it was affectionately known as his one cup bra! It certainly helped him and the apnoea can affect the heart too, mum found the white noise from the machine far preferable to his snoring. Hope you keep well x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Ang! Love the purple and white together! The embossing pattern is lovely and all your layers create such amazing dimension and interest!!
ReplyDeleteThe sleep machine doesn't exactly sound like a ride in the park, but if it helps you, then I'm with Mr Lockwood... give it an honest go. Sending hugs :)
Love all your beautiful cards!! My husband has one, it took at least 4 to 6 months to get use to it. He has gone through different styles of mask. Still has some nights, that the mask bothers him. It's been about 5 years now. But he feels well rest when he gets up. It's been great for me, no more snoring & worrying about him still breathing. Please be patience with yourself & the machine.
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, you really don't like him do you ;-). Such a pretty card, you certainly know how to get the best from your stash. Love it. Take care, I hope you get on with the machinery and I am sure you will soon learn not to sleep on your back. Take care all. Bx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, great card, so sorry to hear that you are still having a tough time of things but just to add to your worries Maureen said that we are not planning an evening raid on the Wisty, NO its a full on daytime attack, so you have been warned.
ReplyDeleteTake care Wendyx
