Good morning everyone. How are we all after eating our own weight in sprouts, turkey and chocolate?
Busiest time of year for Weight Watchers, dentists and marriage guidance councillors I would guess.
We had a quiet one, which was what we wanted wearing elasticated waists so we could squeeze that last roastie in.
There is a 20% sale on my website until 5th January using the code DOODAH2 if anyone is after a crafty fix.
Now, its back to John's boxes and here is another sample that I made for the shows.
Its a normal box but the lid is made using the Sandwich Box dies. I used them to cut the large triangles, even though its a solid box lid so that I knew the dimensions would be ok when cutting out the trellis triangles.
Ingredients
White and aqua card
Silver mirror card
John Next Door Sandwich Box dies
John Next Door Mini Tags dies
John Next Door Gerbera die
John Next Door sentiment stamp
Diamante roll
"Jelly Tot" bling
2mm teeny weeny bling
Izink Silver Metallic pigment ink
Love this box but think its still "on tour" with John so hope it hasn't gotten too battered lol!!!
On the next post, I will show the card that I made to go in the box.
At hospital yesterday for follow up to getting the CPAP. I explained that I hadn't been able to use it as it felt like I was hanging my head out of a car window at speed and was suffocating but I had successfully been keeping off my back with my plastic air freshener lids shoved down my trollies technique (did raise an eyebrow for some obscure reason).
Apparently, the guy who gave me the machine had got it set too high, basically at level a 6ft 30 stone rugby player would need to have it. Now, I'm not the sveltest of gals but 6ft and 30 stone I ain't (don't do rugby either before anyone, Maureen, asks).
So, I still have the machine but re-set and with a nasal mask rather than a full one so now I look like Dumbo (no comments please) instead of Hannibal Lecter.
Will give it another go as I may need to re-think the air freshener lid thing as Mr D has bashed his elbow on them twice now...........don't ask.
On that note, I will wish you a happy Friday and see you soon.

Hi Ang, a beautiful box, I am sure you had plenty of fun playing and creating with Johns' dies. And another laughter filled blog post. Hope you get on better with the machine now. Take care. Have a great day everyone. Bx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, lovely box and looking forward to seeing the accompanying card.
ReplyDeleteDo hope the new settings on your machine work, or I do fear Mr. D reaction if they don't.
Take Ang, keep warm and safe.

Oh my Ang I needed a good chuckle this morning so thank you as always for providing it. Trouble is I'm now singing the elephant March from the Jungle Book film. In fact I might dig the tape out and enjoy it again. Yes old fashioned it may be but my VHS works fine so why change it! Anyway love the box. Have a good weekend and a very happy new year to you and Mr D and all your blog family love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang. I am still giggling. The pictures in my head are something else!!

Lovely box Ang. Thank you for sharing this. My friend has been given one of those machines and is getting on very well with it but it obviously set correctly in the first place. Hope you get on better with yours now. Happy and healthy New Year to everyone.

ReplyDeleteI love this beautiful box. Shame on the tech that set your CPAP machine with too high of a setting. Wonder if he would have done that to his grandmother? Please keep up the trial and error of getting your machine ajusted for you. I know you will feel better using the machine. And it can save your life. Best Wishes!
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pictures if this lovely box.
I was lucky enough to receive the dies for Christmas so I wasn't on Santa's naughty list after all!
Sorry to hear about the carry on with your hospital equipment. It's a good job you've got your sense of humour to get by. You'll be popular as Dumbo is well loved. Both of my daughters received a Dumbo from the Disney shop from their other halves so at least your on trend. Bless you.
I hope you feel better soon.

Gorgeous box and my mind is boggling at what this contracption actually is.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a medieval torture to me. Are you sure your in the right century. Hope 2018 is a better year for you. Hugs Mrs A.
A beautiful box Ang I need this die set! I’m glad the CPAP machine has been re-set and helps What an idiot that first doctor was
ReplyDeleteThis box is just yummy. I can appreciate how you must have felt with the CPAP machine, I can remember Dad adjusting to one. I think the ones onw start off on a lower flow and build up gradually over a few minutes- if it's on the right setting of course! I can't remember if I ever answered your question about sewing my advent calendar. It is all hand stitched - we'll just blame the Christmas mugs of mulled wine shall we...hic!
ReplyDeleteHello Ang!
ReplyDeleteI’m a little behind the Times - as it were! Careful Maureen! Your box is lovely and John seems to design things which really are multifunctional as well as lovely!
I hope the new setting on the machine works for you! Thanks for making me smile each time I log on and a very Happy New Year to you and your family.
Love Myra xxx
Hi Ang and a very Happy New Year to you and may it also be a much healthier one for you too. Loved the box fantastic as I am sure the card for it is too.
ReplyDelete2018 seems to be shaping up to be a much better year for my family. Fingers crossed.
Hugs

Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful and just what we've come to expect from you. I don't see you as a Dumbo somehow, more like Nellie the Elephant and now I'll be singing that song all night!!
Happy New Year, may you be blessed with good health and less contraptions and tablets. I was surprised Mr D wasn't honoured in the New Year's Honours for his stoicism in living with you.
I see Myra is coming in with the funnies now saying she has a little behind - well if she thinks that, she's delusional ha ha (oops, I'm in trouble now).
Love and good wishes to you and yours.
Maureen xxxx
Morning Ang and a very happy new year to you and Mr D. I hope it's a good one for you, especially for your health
ReplyDeleteI love this box and the aqua colour cardstock, stunning!
Take care
