Swirly Roses. . . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope that you are all well.

Its been a funny old week weather wise. Sun, wind, rain and a combination of all 3.
Certainly, The Minxes have decided that they do not like the rain so I will be equipping them with little macs and wellies so that they can still patrol the grounds.

Now, today's card is another that has been lurking on my files since last year. It was one of the samples I made for one of Daisy's Jewels and Crafts Hochanda shows.

Ingredients
Cream and black card
CE Swirling Hearts embossing folder
Daisy's Jewels and Crafts Art Deco Rose stamps
Black Archival Ink
Gold Sharpie pen (for the leaf veins)
Gold pearlage

Its a pretty stamp and I think you could get away with it for wedding, anniversary or sympathy cards. Another quite CAS card for me.

No Ninja Kitty pics today otherwise you will getting kitty overload lol!!!
Maureen, I don't know who has given you slanderous information about my undergarments but all I shall say is, I am practising my catapult techniques (not literally cat) with diamante thongs.
June S  and Myra, I can imagine John being mildly nervous if you started putting on rubber gloves at one of his workshops..........you didn't used to work for customs, did you?
Jan, would love to see some pics of Dave's pride and joy when the racemes are out.......don't worry, I wont divulge where you live as I don't want WART mounting a two pronged attack.
June F, hope that Mr F had a super birthday and you didn't tease him with the photo.

Had some better blood test results this week so not all of me is falling to pieces. Had a nice evening out with a school chum and off out to lunch today with some old work friends. We are going for a Mexican so I shall be shaking my maracas.
Then a busy afternoon packing parcels of goodies as hopefully, my Crafts Too delivery will be here tomorrow with John's new stamps and media plates.

Have a great weekend.

Ribbons and Slug Trails. . . . . . . . . .

Good morning mon petis pois. Hope you are all ok and a happy St Georges Day!!!

Still having off days here but what's a gal to do? At least the Sun has been shining and my smalls have been wafting on the line again, getting some fresh air rather than being relegated to the tumble dryer.

Hope that you have all been enjoying John's shows. I didn't do any samples for this time Stephanie as John, quite rightly, doesn't trust me with anything inky lol!!! I don't trust me with anything inky!!!
I must say, thank you for all of the website orders.

Now, I do have a sample I did do for John last year as today's offering. Its another using the Mauritius set but this time, just the centre die as a ribbon threader...........thank goodness John has got his own threader now.
I must apologise for the look that a slug has crawled all over the front of the card. I had photographed the card before the glue had time to dry and settle and as its been long dispatched to someone for their birthday, I couldn't re-snap it.

Ingredients
Cream and sky blue card
SW Mauritius die (centre die)
John Lockwood sentiment stamp
Cream and navy satin ribbon
Pearlage

A simple card but sometimes, understated is just the job.

I thought that I would just give a Wisty update.....................

Its coming along quite nicely. You can almost see it growing as you can see a difference just from one morning to the next. Looks like plenty of flowers on the lilac one this year.

I have no worries about the Wisty with my little feline warriors...........

This is what happened when I showed them a photo of Maureen, Wendy A and June F.

That's me for today.  A hospital appointment and 3 catch ups with friends lay ahead for me and I hope that this week treats you all kindly.

Ps.....Hope the knee starts to feel better soon Jayne, its been a long time now.

Memories of Mauritius. . . . . . . . . . . .

Good morning folks. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Sorry I have been missing again but have had another few rough days. I suppose the body occasionally decides to remind me that it is not 100%.

Before I forget, if LaVonne is viewing this, I have tried replying to your email but your server is blocking me. I will pop a couple of explanation photos on my next blog post for you.

Now, today I am back with a card from my annals (Lord, I do hope that I have spelt that correctly lol!!!) as its been lurking from when I did some samples for John when he was still demoing for CE. I have a few in this folder so its time for them to have their day in the spotlight.

Ingredients
Cream card
Rich Plum foundation card
SW Mauritius dies
CE Jacobean Floral embossing folder
SB Bitty Blossoms
Plum satin ribbon
Pearlage

I left it sentiment free until I have decided where its going (yes, I still have the card in my card box lol!!!)

I thought that you may like to see how the Kitty Ninja training is going, With the camouflage photo on the previous post, if you look very closely, you can just see two green specks for Molly's eyes. Having black leather furniture has posed problems of an evening if she has decided to park herself on our chairs and only the table lamp is on. We have to double check before we sit down.

Above is Lily practising a half nelson on Molly.

A chickenwing over the shoulder crossface manoeuvre I believe.

Stephanie, its the Wisteria that I am worried about being stolen by the WART brigade which is why Molly is on patrol lol!!! Barbara, if you can come up with a camouflage idea for Lily, that would be great.

Maureen, thank you for your kind offer to come and nurse me but Mr D is stepping up to the plate. The Girls are managing to keep flies, bees and pigeons off the Wisty so your silk bloomers will pose no threat to them. I have been waving Mr D's undies at them to put them on scent (metaphorically speaking, thank goodness)
We have to be on alert as June, hopefully feeling better now, has tried to lull me into a false sense of security saying Mr F has now planted his own wisteria but I know that it takes 7 years for a young wisty to establish and flower for the first time (as happened with my white one).

Well, that's me for now. Hopefully we will be getting this mini heatwave..........June S, get your bikini ready!!!

MAWTT Challenge 69. . . . . . . . .

Good morning guys and gals. Hope this finds you all well.

Been missing for a few days as had a few things to deal with that have kept me busy and also a few ticker troubles at the beginning of the week, which, thankfully seem to have settled down.

A warm welcome to The Pond to Adie.Thank you for pressing the follow button.

Now, I'm back today with another DT card for a new challenge at MAWTT.
Diane-Louise has chose the theme this time and the theme is..........................

I think that the colours on this are very Spring like and the rain embossing folder certainly matches the weather lol!!! I also thought that the sentiment was apt for new blooms springing up.
I did make this for a friends wife, who had been diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully, she is progressing well with her treatment.

Ingredients
Cream, green, orange and yellow card
SW Infinity Striplet
John Lockwood sentiment
CC Textures Rain embossing folder
SB Curved Borders die
HC Delicate Asters dies
SW Spring Foliage flower dies
Blingage

Hope that you can all pop over to MAWTT and join in with the challenge.

The fence has been replaced at the back of our garden so there is extra fortification for the Wisty.
This means, when it stops raining, my little Ninjas will be on patrol and will not be led astray by tuna scented soap or cheap kitty food. I am trying to get photos of the WART members so they can identify their targets.

As you will see, the camouflage is working a treat................

Obviously, this is Molly Mogs on daddy's chair so we are painting the fences black so that she will not be seen by any intruders.

Be good.

November's Child. . . . . . .

Hello everyone. Hope all is well with you and yours. What a beautiful day it has been today.
My smalls have been flapping gaily in the sunshine.

Thank you for your lovely comments on my florals on my last card. I really do enjoy making flowers. I always make sympathy cards when needed as I don't like to tempt fate by having them ready made in my card box.......daft, I know.

I've been missing again as Mr D has been hogging the laptop when I have time to sit and blog and I can't upload pics from the tablet to Blogger for some reason.
Anyhoo.......did you miss me? What was that? Like a verruca lol???

The Kitties have been keeping me busy too. Lily has been a bit of a naughty girl. She decided to pee on Mr D's dressing gown. Fortunately (for both of them), he was not wearing it at the time and it will teach him not to just dump it on the chair. She then peed on his socks.........which yet again, he had just dumped on the chair.
Hopefully, she just has a thing about tidiness lol!!!
Needless to say, he has been taking his clothes upstairs since!!!
I've only been trying to get him to do that for 17 years. If only I had realised sooner, that all I needed to do was pee on his stuff.

The Girls have been outside in their harnesses and didn't seem very impressed. Molly in, particular, was wary and was happy to get back inside onto her nice fleecy bed. Lily was a little nervous but then a large fly buzzed past and she nearly dragged me into the wisteria.
They have been good at sitting still to have them put on and taken off so no TCP and Band Aids required as yet.

Now,today's card is an oldie. I found some more unblogged cards in a folder and this one is from November 2016 and was made for my nephew.

Ingredients
White, navy and blue card (Limetree)
John Lockwood Novembers Child sentiment stamp
Couture Creations Swiss Dots embossing folder
Variety of "Happy Birthday" stamps
Variety of blue inks
Blue bling

Teenage boys are a nightmare to make cards for so, although I know some will find this a bit busy, I thought it would be fine for a 17 year old lad and he was happy with it.

Maureen.....tuna scented soap? I always thought that there was something fishy about you or was that just a red herring? But, its not my plaice to judge or carp on about it.
Jayne, hope that knee is improving.
Annie, thanks for the link to PhotoScape. I will check it out.

Well, best get on now as Mr D nearly home and nearly dinner time for The Girls.

Have a great evening.
