Good morning folks, how's it hanging?
Well, Autumn is truly on its way. The leaves are beginning to fall and the washing is taking that much longer to dry, even in the Sun. Mr D is still looking longingly at the central heating on switch but I have to keep reminding him that its not quite November yet.
The new craft space is finally beginning to take shape. I bought a very useful narrow 3 tiered, wheeled trolley from Lidl this weekend. Its supposed to be for a bathroom but it fits just nicely under my desk.
I've still got boxes to sort through but at least I have desk space now, which is just as well as I have 6 cards to make in the next week or so.
Now, today's card is still running through John's show samples from a couple of months ago. I did warn you that there were quite a few lol!!
Ingredients
Cream and black card
Vintage gold and gold mirror card
JND Snowflake Panel die
JND Festive Greetings die
SB Classic Ovals
I do love an aperture card.
Well, the dentist thinks that the jippy tooth is just still settling down so to persevere with it. It is marginally better and I can chew a little on it now. Had my crown measuring and prep done so I'm back again next week for the actual crown.
The ankle stroking I referred to is a technique my dentist's assistant introduced me to.
I have a sensitive gag reflex (Maureen, don't go there) so having to have the gum shield full of goo in my mush for nearly a minute has me heaving. However, if she holds my ankle, it makes it more tolerable. I have no idea why but it does work. See, you get these little extras when you go private lol!!!
Sadly Wendy, my dentist is about 63, from Nuneaton and no hint of green eyed Egyptianess.
I met Davey a day earlier for our date at Costa. Yes Maria, I have tried the Bonfire Latte but I do love the gingerbread one. They do a couple of sugar free syrups now so you don't feel as naughty.
June, please feel free to try any card you fancy. Its very flattering that you would like to.
Myra, glad that you are better now. If it was Maureen you were meeting up with, no wonder you had a headache lol!!!
Just a couple of gratuitous kitty pics.............can't believe how they have grown. its going to be interesting when the Christmas tree goes up lol!!!
Have a great week and be good.

Ps......Mrs Flash has been sighted so Flash is not a homicidal maniac (at the moment).
Morning Ang
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your craft room is taking shape. A lovely card I like the gold and black together. I love the gingerbread latte too. The new costa festive range is out on the 1st Nov so I will just have to try it out ..lol ..I hope your tooth gets sorted soon xx
Morning Ang, such a beautiful creation, another on my list to try and make, thank you for your reply, much appreciated.
ReplyDeletePleased about the tooth settling down, now just to get the new crown fitted, but what a wonderful technique about the stroking of the ankle, would never have though of that.
We have succumbed with the heating, well just first thing in the morning hubby get a bit chilly when her gets up, me I am fine, just put on my fleecy bathrobe and am as snug as a bug in a rug, but hubby is a cold morsel......don't ask!!
Stay safe, healthy and happy, hugs, June Smith xxx
This is fabulous Ang. I love the gold peeping through the snowflakes - or should that be "glaring"!! Love it anyway. Christinex
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous card, Ang.

Gorgeous card this morning. Pleased to hear your tooth is settling down and also your craft room. I have to tidy mine up this week as my son and little granddaughters are coming for a couple of nights. Alex (6) can’t get into her bed at present! Last week I had Eleanor (almost two)working with my small die cutter. She loved It!

Hi Ang this is a stunning card I just love how you have used the dies. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, an absolutely beautiful card, love everything about it. Glad to hear the dentist visits are going well, and the kitty pics are beautiful. Take care all. Bx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, sometimes the simpler looking card is right for the person and these two certainly fit the bill when you don't want too much festivity. Glad the tooth is settling down, long business, though I like the idea of ankle stroking. You do know that a craft room never really gets sorted don't you!! There's always something new that needs a home. Love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs D,Very elegant card, just love it.Glad the tooth is settling still not sure about the ankle thing but if it works for you all good. The girls look so peaceful and grown up.As you say Xmas tree might be an issue,my one was fine with the tree till the sparkly bits went one then it was too much to resist so good luck.Stay well,
ReplyDeleteLots of Love Barbara D xx
Very pretty kitties! Love the golden snowflake card. My daughter lost a bunch of breakable ornaments the first year she had cats. They knocked the tree over. I hope your Kitties are better behaved! Have a great day.

A lovely card I was interested to read about the ankle stroking! My dentist uses a teowhere he presses the spot just underneath your nose which helps prevent the gagging too!
ReplyDeleteI love the card...so well balanced and the gold is beautiful. John is so lucky to have you making beautiful samples for his shows.
ReplyDeleteAll this dentist talk with gagging reminds me of my own appointment coming up! I don't know if his assistant knows of the ankle stroking or nose pressing tricks but as its for a cleaning/checkup I should be OK.
I hope your kitties will not destroy your tree. I know several cat owners who had to give up on the tradition. I have always had pets, mostly dogs, but never had a problem. One of my friends daughter had a rabbit and they put a pen around their tree but that wouldn't stop Ninja Kitties.
Glad you are progressing on your craft room. I am trying to organize myself so the dining room table can be cleared for the holidays. I am sure you are neater than I am. My crafting is spreading to other rooms.
Love your new screen background and will check out some of the links you've added.
Everyone, have a great Wednesday!

Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteA lovely and interesting card today. Gorgeous colours. I think the Assistant was holding your ankle to stop you kicking the dentist, but what do I know?
Myra, improved in no time due to my caring nature. Her "head" lasts a day or two at home, but 4 days when she's with me ha ha. We had a wonderful time - always do.
Interesting news about Mrs Flash, now have you seen Mr Flash lately?
love Maureen x
Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteI do like your new Blog Backscreen very much! This terminology may be entirely wrong but it’s the only way I could think of describing it! It’s a hit anyway! Thanks for your good wishes! We did have a great time and it’s always lovely to see everyone - even Maureen!!!
Glad your craft room is shaping up well. It makes a big difference to have room in which to craft as opposed to a foot square!
Lovely card and I don’t remember seeing it . Love the touch of gold!
Love the kittens too! I think you may have fun times ahead with a Christmas tree!
Many thanks!
Love Myra xx
Hi there Ang, It's me who's behind with the commenting. Pleased to hear that the tooth is settling down??
ReplyDeleteVery stylish card, wonderful sumptuous colour palette too.
Good to catch up the other day, Kate xx
Hi Ang
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, you can't beat a bit of mirri.... sometimes!
Kitties looking good, dental assistant and ankle stroking!... be careful there, you hear all sorts about dentists now, I've never trusted them since I watched James Nesbit play a dentist lol
Take care
June x
PS thank you for giving me permission re card :)
