Good morning everyone. Hope that you are all well and easing yourselves gently out of lockdown.
Its been a funny few weeks, At first, it was this feeling of dread and fear but now, I think a part of me will miss the quiet time, the cleaner air, hearing birds instead of traffic........and possibly even Mr D when he returns to work.
Sadly, heart issues have reared their ugly head again so a couple of hospital visits during all this mularky was not what I wanted but it is what it is. Back on nasty meds and on list for procedures but I'm trying to be positive about things rather than causing myself more issues by stressing.
Anyhoo, here we again ready with another challenge at MAWTT and the theme this month is ....................BEACH.
Now, I was scratching my head a bit as I didn't think I had anything in my stash but then I remembered this Michael Powell stamp I had in my box.
Ingredients
White and blue card
Michael Powell stamp
JND sentiment stamp
Watercolour pencils
Hougie Board
I am not a colourist by any stretch of the imagination but I was quite pleased at how this turned out so I may dabble again soon.
My lovely wee chum Kate, is a super colourist and has been encouraging me.
Well, get yourselves over to MAWTT and enter in our challenge. It may be the nearest you get to a beach this year!!!
Thanks for popping by again and bearing with my gaps in blogging. If its not been one thing its another but I appreciate you coming to have a peek.
I do have a few sample projects in the background too for Mr L and I've done a few for a magazine too..
Hopefully be back soon but meantime, take care and be good.

Hi Ang this is a stunning card. That stamp is gorgeous and so beautifully coloured. I am so sorry that you are not well. I hope the medication you are taking does the job. I too am missing the quiet of complete lock down. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, lovely to see you blog (which I check regularly). What a shame that your ticker issues have reared their ugly head again but I'm sure these will be soon under control (positive thinking). Take carex
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you have health issues again and hope it soon gets sorted. As soon as I saw your card I recognised where it is. My favourite place. It’s where my late husband and I were going to retire to but sadly he didn’t make retirement age. We went there every year for holidays and my children have taken their children there. As soon as I saw the stamp, many years ago, I bought it. You have coloured it perfectly. Thank you so much for sharing it. Take care x
ReplyDeleteHello Ang, stunning work and your colours and colouring are fabulous. Your shading and shadows are well created, and a super sea. I have a few of these stamps and love the images. Super inspiration for your challenge, Kate x x
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, I'm so very sorry to hear you're having more health issues and hope it won't be too long before you are back 'on your feet' no pun intended!
ReplyDeleteFabulous image and colouring Mrs D

Hi Ang, I'm so sorry to read you have had health problems during the "special times" I hope you are feeling much better now. Littlelamb says she knows where this beach is. I'm guessing somewhere in Cornwall but I don't know. What I do know though is that you have made a superb job of colouring it in to make your card. Take care now, love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteNo not Cornwall Jackie it is Tenby in Pembrokeshire, Wales. A beautiful place.
