Andy's Campervan. . . . . . . . .

Good morning dear blog chums. Hope this finds your fettles fine and in good nick.

Had a fairly good week. Got to meet Davey on Monday and he treated me to a decaff doobry latte thingy and cake and bless him, he then escorted me round Tesco to make sure I was ok doing a bit of grocery shopping.

Maureen, Davey is my good friend whom I usually refer to as the Alan Whicker of Coventry, due to his penchant for travel (I would have said Judith Chalmers but I think he has better legs lol!!!) I showed his birthday card a few posts ago here. Ooh, and HC refers to Heartfelt Creations chuck.

On Wednesday, I had lunch with Nesta at a local pub and walked there in the lovely sunshine.

Now, today's card I made for my lovely friend Andy, who volunteered for me at the first charity shop I worked in last year before I moved to another branch. He is the most helpful chappy and a genuinely nice person and he loves cars and campervans. . . . . . .here is the book fold campervan I made for him last year.

The woven background I did myself with strips of card, not with dies. 

There were a few of us met up with Andy for lunch on his birthday at the end of September and he was thrilled with his card (and his 7 packets of different flavoured Oreos, his favourite biscuits lol!!!).

Another blokey card for the archives, which could have other things stamped on it instead of campervans.

That's me for today. US GP at the weekend (come on Nico!!!) and hoping to get over to John's on Sunday to ram raid his new craft cave. Mr D is chauffering (need to build my confidence driving out of Coventry on my own again) so will probably end up nodding off whilst the talk is about cardstock and dies lol!!!

Cream and Black. . . . . . . .

Good morning everyone. Hope this finds you well and full of the joys of Spring.

 What wonderful weather we have had the last few days. No heating on in this house for about a week now and there's been lines of washing bobbing in the breeze and Sun.. . . . . ahhh, its the simple things in life eh?

Still chasing my tail with work this week but apparently, will be on my normal hours from next week. . . . . . . . phew!!! Lesley, I used to volunteer in an RSPCA charity shop but now I work for a children's charity so I'm hoping they won't be letting me loose with any animals lol!!! (mind you they are both noisy, make a mess and cost you a fortune so not dissimilar hahaha!!!)

 I have been shattered and some of you will notice the silly times I have commented on some of your blogs because I have nodded off in my chair, then woken up at about 11.30pm lol!!!

So my chums, this will be short and sweet again ("Hurrah" I hear you all chorus) 

Now, today's card was the result of another play with the exquisite Cygnus Gemini die, which I cut twice on the edge (once with the cutting edge) and then cut a duplicate in black to create a shadow.

Hobbycraft border stamp (stamped repeatedly as its only about an inch & a half long)

The top layer is raised so that the roses sit in a recessed aperture.

I shall use this for one of my friends birthday's. Its good to build up a bit of a stock with being busy at the moment.

Anyhoo, that's me having to run and rustle up some sausage pasta for tea (yes, I'm scheduling) and may have to give my hair a blast with the dryer as its still a bit damp from washing (those who have met me will know how long my hair is and I normally let it dry naturally)

Good afternoon, me again. Back with another DT creation but for House of Cards.

I liked using the plain SB nesties as I often forget how nice they look just simply layered in this way.

Fisherman's Friend. . . . . . . .

Good morning Duckadees. Hope you have all had a splendid weekend. A great win for Lewis in the GP but really wish it had been Jenson Baby.

The image I have used is called Artsy Flower from Stitchy Bear. As you all know, I'm no colourist so I hope that those who are, forgive my humble attempt.

I printed the image onto some very deep cream card from my Lidl collection and coloured it with my watercolour pencils. I tried to shade and blend as best I could but I'm pleased with how its turned out.

I used the SB A2 Matting Basics sets A & B to do the layers of cream and white and a 5x7 white card blank for the base. The sentiment is from the Creative Expressions Classic Sentiments Stamp Set, kindly donated by Jacquie as blog candy.
