Good morning mes petits canards....................Ha !!! thought you had opened the wrong blog didn't you? Well, remove those sunglasses folks as I thought I would show you that I can do subtle. . . . .don't get used to it though, I have a reputation to keep up LOL !!!
Now today's out of the ordinary offering was started with a 5x7 cream card base. I then cut a slightly smaller cream mat and ran it through the GC with the That Special Touch Moroccan Mask. I had to do this twice to extend the pattern. I then inked through the mask with Spun Sugar Distress Ink. This was then stuck to the base card.
For the topper, I cut the middle and smallest die of the SB Elegant Labels Four out of cream card to create a frame. I then inked through the die with Spun Sugar again. I then cut a small portion of the SB Fancy Lattice Die out of pale pink card, just enough to fill the aperture in the frame. I cut this to fit and stuck it to the rear of the frame. Then I stuck a piece of cream card behind this on foam pads. For the pale pink layer, I put the die onto some pale pink card, drew around it and cut it out by hand (think this may be a faux nestie???). This was stuck to the back of the cream layer and then foam padded onto the base card.
Finished off with a few flowers made with the medium Britannia Rose die (so versatile as you can make all sorts of different flowers with it, including the fuchsias way back at the beginning of June) a cream organza bow (tied on my fingers as I couldn't find my bow maker straight away) and a bit of bling on the bow and in the centre of the flowers.
Sentiment stamped with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and added with a foam pad. . . . . . .Voila !!!
My goodness Jackie, did Pickfords have to transport you home after Doncaster LOL? You will have some fun with all that lot.........I'm only jealous but not long until Stoneleigh now. Elaine, stick with the Bitty Blossoms; they are one of my favourite sets. And Val, you will need to ask Spellbinders to make you a football shirt die hahaha!!!
Thank you, one and all, for taking the time to see what I have been up to. I know its the blog equivalent of Russian Roulette with my stuff but hey, its a bit of fun.
Hope I haven't made you all think you're in a parallel universe. Normal service will be resumed shortly so don't put those shades away just yet LOL !!!
Be good.

Bonjour Ang and the ducklings!
ReplyDeleteWell what can I say? You have really disappointed me big time today. I had come to expect better from you!! First of all you have done a card in pink! Pink????? What were you thinking of???? From the girl that doesn't 'do' pink and then, well, you have gone down the slippery path of using pastel shades! Very disappointed in you my girl you will have to try better I'm afraid the Oakleys will now have to be used for the weather we are having!Sigh! :)
Seriously the card is a stunner I love the effect of the spun sugar ( I love this colour) through the mask ( I don't have many masks note to self to get some). The lattice works really well with the background. Great card Ang!

Hi Ang - and yes the car was a bit loaded down as there was all my friend' purchases as well! Had to smile on seeing this pretty card and it is a nice pink............but as the fancy lattice was one of the dies I bought and I forgot to add that I also bought the Britannia medium rose after watching the demonstrations and though how useful it was, I think we are definitely on the same wavelength. Have a good day, I'm going out with the gardening group from our U3A to Peter Beales Roses in Norfolk, parasol at the ready. Best wishes Jackie

ReplyDeleteHi Ang. Lovely, lovely card. I must admit I'm a pink girl and didn't realise you weren't so an extra special pat on the back to you. I so love that lattice. I have the plain one but really wish i'd gone for the more fancy one. Another on my wish list.
ReplyDeleteReally miffed today yet again with C+C. I ordered the Gelli plat pack when Barbara Gray was one. Arrived yesterday. Card, paint, brayer all there but guess what - no Gelli plate.I've just sent them aa very polite letter (not) I said I wouldn't buy from them again after the last time, but this is definitely IT.
Sorry about the rant but good to get it off one's chest.
Love Val x
