Bonjour mon petit canards. Hope you haven't found yourself under 6ft of water.
Thank you so much for your best wishes for our anniversary. We were both very touched (steady on now, not like that !!!). Thank you also for your lovely comments about the card on my last post.
Firstly, messages to our sponsors.
A very warm welcome to Claire (Claire's Crafty Creations) who has jumped into the pond with us.
To Gail and Mr Gail, a belated Happy Anniversary to you both for the same day as ours.
Elaine, 50 years WOW!!! We have got to 10 years without my resorting to violence so "hurrah" to you and Mr Nattyboots.
And Val, so sorry you had a sad day. Hope that the bereavement wasn't family or too close a friend.
Finally, welcome back Ita; hope that you are better and that your tests went ok.
Now, my lovely Mr Duck had agreed that I could show the card that I made him for our anniversary so here it is. Its almost A4 in size.
I know that it won't be everyone's cup of char but Mr D wanted red and white and he likes the more structural style cards that I make. He also likes me to handwrite the sentiment on his cards as he says its more personal for him.
I won't go into the recipe but I have taken pics of the various stages. The ingredients were just;
Red card
White card
SB Bracket Borders
SB Majestic Labels 25
SB Classic Ovals
White Pen
Like I said, I realise that not everyone will be a fan but I enjoyed the challenge of getting what was in my head onto card and it was one of the few occasions where a card turned out exactly as I wanted it. Mr D loved it too so that's the main thing.
Have a great day folks and thank you so much for popping by for a paddle.

ReplyDeleteAng. Love Mr Ducks card, thank you for sharing it.
Yes we did do a lot of travelling over the weekend, but with friends living all over Britain I have never given it two thoughts, and yes flying these days is sometimes better.

Well here I am for the 5th time attempting to wish you both Happy Anniversary. I kept hitting the wrong bit on the tablet and the comment box disappeard eith my comment into the great blue yonder. As I was in someone else's home I couldn't let out my frustrations, I usually swear, I thought I would wait till I got home. Guess what? Yes did the same thing again.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Happy Anniversary! All best wishes for the next 10 and beyond.
Fabulous card for hubby, great dies and design and pleased he liked it. Will he keep it? I make mine keep his although he tries to sneek them in the bin, saying he hasn't got room to keep them, cheek I say.
I'm rambling noe Ang, have a great day, Kate x
Yes successful at last!!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Ang and thank you ...and Mr Duck...for sharing this card. A bright and bold statement of your 10 years and a tutorial to go with it makes it so clear. have a good paddle today, best wishes Jackie
ReplyDeleteGood Morning. So admire Mr Ducks taste in colour (come on Liverpool) and the use of the bracket dies again. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your condolences.
Did Mr Duck make you a card? I always forced my husband into making Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary and valentine cards. They were usually a heart or a flower stuck on a piece of card but I still have them and treasure them.
Have a lovely day.
Love Val x
Hi Ang,
ReplyDeletewhat a superb anniversary card. Great design and even greater use of the dies in question. Love the colour, your hubby has great taste.
Your hand writing is wonderful, there is no way I could hand write anything on one of my cards and it look so good.
Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Gorgeous card and I can understand Mr D wanting a handwritten sentiment - I have to say if my handwriting was as neat and nice as yours I would defo handwrite most of mine but unfortunately it is more like the old GP's handwriting ie unrecognisable - even to myself sometimes!! Luv the card and the colours - well done xx GailT xx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang thank you for the welcome back, yes the tests went well ,but have to have surgery in a few weeks.
ReplyDeleteThe card is fab.Mr D has a similar idea as my O.H. he keeps asking ,when I am going to make a red and white card, our Cork Colours,he is still waiting.
I love everything about this card. Thanks for the inspiration.
Smiles

ReplyDeleteAng. If only hotels would give you pretty towels, then again I have to admitt I use plain white towels. I only wish I had bought more than the six I did. Hind sight is a wonderful thing.
Now as for you putting cream on your feet every night my oldest daughter would be proud of you. She thinks everyone should do that, save her a lot of work.
